When I go home to visit I always stop at Joe's Diner the waitress Heather always has a smile on her face polite friendly and always quick to take care of your dining experience. Then there's the waitor Devon his smile can brighten any cloudy day he is always giving the fastest best service he can. The other employees are just as friendly. The diner is very clean the food is very good like good ol home cooking. We really like when the GM Renea cooks that lady knows her food she runs a good clean tight ship expecting her employees to give their best and it shows. The outside is called Joe's Diner and it's the same name used in Google Maps. We came here because the other trendy breakfast spots had one hour wait times in downtown. The inside is nicely decorated and servers were attentive but it took about 30 minutes to get breakfast?? The burgers are excellent. Menu says they use "locally sourced beef" and that clearly makes a difference. The "Big Rig" sauce is underwhelming; mayonnaise on the "Classic" would be better. The fries were good, too. Service was just fine but the kitchen was a bit slow getting the food out. Then again, the burger was piping hot and freshly cooked and worth the wait. read more

We got there around 7am and just hand full of people where there. The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance is of an old dinner, but with good coffee! We ordered: - corn beef hash with eggs over easy. Yum! This placed look so cool when we walked in. After that it was all downhill. Everyone's order came out .... Except my turkey club. It was forgotten. My boyfriend and I have been coming to Joe's Griddle and Grill every Thursday for 7 1/2 years. (Our date night) We go to share a grilled cheese sandwich and Vegetable Soup. Bowls each. Always liked the place well enough. Basic diner fare. Left today because, while modestly busy but no line or anything, after 16 minutes no server had acknowledged our presence. One party that had menus when we walked in got their order taken after we'd been there 10 minutes. Another party that had menus when we got there got their order taken a minute or two later. Whew. Worst dinner ever. Stayed locally for the evening and was excited for a local diner as opposed to fast food. Philly cheesesteak omelet sloppy but flavorful. The biscuits and gravy was large and pretty good. Everything else HORRIBLE. The Mac and cheese amounted to some dried macaroni that must've been scraped off the side of a dish. Literally two bites worth. The side of hashbrowns was literally two bites as well. No exaggeration. The fried shrimp tasted fried twice. They were out of cocktail sauce, and there were no hush puppies, that were supposed to come with it. The chicken nuggets were hard as a rock. Go to Wendy's. Go to Arby's. Go to Bojangles. I've stopped at Joe's Sabout 8-10 times over the past number of years. Classic diner attached to truck stop right off the highway. Decor is what you'd expect from an old school diner, fun and cute wall decor. Service is always quick and friendly, see the same faces that are usually smiling! Diner food is a fondness of mine, and Joe's has never dissapointed. This last visit, I had the chili (good!) and the grilled cheese with bacon (YUM!). Worst food and service EVER! Waited about 15 minutes for drinks and an hour and a half for disgusting food! Eggs weren't done,strawberry topping was rubbery- seriously RUBBERY. Got cheap plastic silverware. I went to the counter to get napkins and actual forks. Had to ask for everything more than once. Took 15 minutes after actually getting drinks to get chocolate milk. Never eat here! My husband just ordered me a burger and someone please tell me why there's macaroni and cheese inside of my burger with cold fries !!! There were minor incidents before that I kept over looking,But this was the last straw! The last time we ordered our food 10 min. Before we got there. When my husband went to pick up the order, the same woman who answered the phone and took our order said that we never placed an order. I will NEVER eat at this place again! I love drive up diners and diner food so my big and I decided to come here. It's a quiet local place with 24/7 breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I got the chocolate milkshake, chicken and waffles, and hashbrowns. The milkshake was creamy and sweet but the food was kind of dry. The chicken was a bit overcooked and so were the hashbrowns. The service and price however ere good and they even paid for my friends meal because they don't take flex anymore. Definitely a cute joint and worth the visit. read more

I used to love eating here until I experienced rude behavior from one of your servers. She caused a scene in the restaurant yelling at another employee. She yelled using inappropriate language. Very good diner type of place quick easy access off the highway. Fast friendly service . Very inexpensive and good size of meals. The day we went they were completely out of all chicken ( which didn't matter to us) I had the meatloaf special on a Monday and my husband had a cheesesteak with fries. I ordered the Salisbury Steak Special and received one piece of Salisbury Steak that was so thin it was see-through. On top of that it was still mooing! Sent it back and got two pieces a little thicker but covered with flavorless brown gravy out of a can. The string beans were from a can also. I was not expecting a four-star restaurant, but this had to be the worse diner I have ever encountered. Mercifully, they took this off the bill. I have been here many times and it is a truck stop. With that being said, the time of day was right around 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon, there were a few tables but they weren't real busy. The food I guess tasted okay for a truck but what got my attention was how sloppy everything was. It wasn't just my food it was a couple others also. So the chili did have an appropriate amount of heat (spice) but very little other flavor. The steak was very overdone and again with very little flavor, the gravy was okay but, alone with a strawberry milkshake for a price of just over $24.00 the waitress should've at least looked at the plate. UPDATE: about a month later I went back to Joe's and the food was about the same for a truck stop. How ever the plates were much better, and I recognized the this particular waitress from other times in the past that I have been there and she is very good. So in hind sight everyone and anyone can have a bad day to include an entire team of people. So will I be back to Joe's, absolutely, do I recommend Joe's, yes as long as ur not expecting five star.
