Came passing through on our roadtrip from GA to NJ. We've been to a few Longhorn locations. From Puerto Rico to Tennessee to New Jersey and this is the worst experience so far. Our waitress (Karolain) was pleasant and the 2 stars are strictly for her. Came in no one was at the front to greet or seat us. Took about 10 minutes before someone noticed and sat us down. They were out of several sides-broccoli, asparagus and rice at 8pm -guess it was a busy day. So we had to settle with sides we didn't want. No big deal. Our plates were watery. My French onion soup that I ordered in a cup form came as a bowl. Just because they felt like being 'generous' however, it was lukewarm. So much so, the cheese wasn't melted. It was probably sitting in the kitchen and was an error order and they decided to give it to me. Thanks for the 'generosity'. Had to send it back to actually get warmed up. The most off putting part was 2 separate women vacuuming by our table. It was rude and unprofessional but I don't blame the workers, I blame Management for being okay with that. It felt like everyone was in a rush to go home and was essentially telling us to hurry up and leave. Management, do better-there's a dozen restaurants nearby to choose from that probably take Customer Satisfaction a little more seriously. read more

Our waitress was sweet, however, she did have to come back and ask us our drink order after she took it about 5 min before. Took over 30 min to get bread. We ordered appetizers as our meals and it's now been 50 min and still not to our table. Very frustrating!!!!! It took over an hour to have our food delivered. Our waitress came over and asked "did I take you order"? I said yes, told her what we'd ordered. She left and never came back. I think she was embarrassed to approach us. The manager came to us and apologized profusely but the damage was already done. Won't be returning ever!!!!! I would have liked to change my star rating to a 1 or 2 but yelp won't let me. read more

Came in on a Friday evening. It was very busy. Took 30 minutes to get sat. Our server was nice and attentive but it was ridiculously loud and I just wanted to leave because it was so overwhelming. My Flo filet was overcooked and it was definitely not a Flo filet. They brought me the correct filet but it was undercooked and had to return it again to get it medium. We arrived for a evening family dinner taking our daughter back to campus. We were immediately brought to a table for our group of 6. Our server was at our table within 2 minutes of sitting. Bread was fresh--for our family size we could have used like 2 loaves (one went too fast). Drunks arrived quickly. We ordered a ribeye dinner (very tender & flavorful); a lemon chicken with mash (very tasty); the LG Burger (made perfect); signature Mac and cheese (my kiddo loved it); the half rack of ribs with sweet potato and Brussels sprouts (wow! So this is our second time to this location. Our waiter was very nice. He made sure we had drinks took our order promptly. I ordered a steak and sweet potato. We had 4 in our party. So when mine came out on the plate was only the steak was on nothing else. They said they were out sweet potatoes but they only said this after all the food came out. So I am looking at a plate with a lonely steak. Then they were to bring out a loaded baked potato it had an extremely small amount of butter and sour cream. The potato was very dry. Like I said this is our second time to this location and will be last. The first time we had a similar issue. Tonight they had a lot of staff, so it wasn't the lack of people to do the work. My 92 year old father and his two sisters who were visiting him from out of town went to Longhorn to celebrate them being together. They had Rebecca for a waitress. I called my father from California today and he told me all about their dinner and how wonderful it was. He was especially pleased with Rebecca's outstanding service and attentiveness. I was there on Friday 12/27 for lunch and had the rudest thing happened to a friend and myself. We were having lunch and had finished when a hostess came to our table and asked if we wanted our drinks in a to go cup. I was puzzled because I had never been asked that before. I jokingly looked at my friend and said "I think we're being asked to leave." The hostess just smiled and repeated if we wanted our drinks in a to go cup. I have worked in restaurants before and managed a few and I have never asked a guest to leave. I believe it was the rudest thing to ever do to a guest that wasn't a problem and had just finished eating lunch. This restaurant really needs to learn that the customers that come in for a meal CAN choose another restaurant instead of Longhorn. My wife and I stopped in for dinner on our way to South Carolina, she ordered a salad and a 6oz medium fillet and I ordered a 9 oz rare fillet with a salad. The potatoes and steaks were cooked to perfection, and as it turned out they were the best steaks we were served for the entire trip. I might suggest that the salad should include a few more tomato pieces as mine had only three small cubes. I've always been a huge fan of Longhorns. I used to eat it all the time in OH. Since living in Charlottesville not so much since the closest one is an hour away. We've eaten here twice in the past week and I can't believe there aren't more 5 star reviews. The 20 oz. Outlaw Ribeye is one of the most flavorful steaks that I have ever eaten in a restaurant. My wife ordered the 12 oz. New York Strip and neither one of us needed A1 steak sauce for a change. Also, the Seasoned Steakhouse Wings we ordered for an appetizer were better than the wings from BWWs. We were lucky to get the same server both times (Vivian T.). Longhorn Steakhouse is one of my best friend and Is favorite restaurants of all time, and we had been traveling 1-2 hours to eat there for the past few years as there wasn't one closer till now! Tonight we tried out the new location and it was FABULOUS! Their waitlist works perfectly online, the service was great, food was fast and cooked perfectly! We got long pour margaritas for $13 each which were about 5 margaritas worth, bread and butter, stuffed mushrooms, spicy chicken wraps, new york strip steaks, macaroni and cheese, and asparagus and nothing dissapointed! Our first experience was a disappointment, to say the least. Ordered a filet and sent it back because it was grizzly. It looked like a sirloin instead of a filet. Waited longer than normal for a replacement which was exactly the same as the first one, which I refused. Manager said "that's our filet". It looked nothing like the one pictured on the website or any other filet I've ever had. It's the only cut of meat I order because it's always lean, thick and tender. It's a steakhouse so you'd think they'd know a filet when they see it. The steak and takeout order were comped, which was only right. My friend and I came to grab lunch here today and it was an all around awful experience. The food was awful. The spicy chicken app actually tasted like freezer food (which I'm sure it is). The cheese fries had nacho cheese and tasted like a heart attack. I have been craving a loaded potato for three months, finally I got one, holy cow was it bad. I couldn't even stand the smell. The only issue I have with this place, and it is a big issue for me, is that they have no IPAs. They have plenty of beers, but they are all the same kind of beers, lagers. You can have a light lager or a regular lager, but they are still lagers. They need to get somebody there that knows a little something about beers. Been to this location twice now but have yet to eat. Last week ordered to go only to find out you can only buy half rack of ribs, but price is the same. Ordered chicken tender and was given a box of burnt chicken nubs. This week I tried to call Togo order (didn't realize it was the same store) and waited almost 20 minutes before someone finally picked up the phone. I asked what the managers name was and was told there were 3 of them on duty. Guess they were all too busy to take any food orders. Must have been catering to all 3 customers they had in the restaurant seeing as though the parking lot was empty. Not that I'm surprised. I won't be coming back either. Longhorn used to be a place you could depend on the service and food quality and when traveling these things can be huge. Sad to see what a lot of the locations are becoming. You can't even eat at a Longhorn in Ga, the service at every single one is horrible. We went to Longhorn last night for dinner. We were visiting our granddaughter at JMU. This restaurant does not have prime rib. Very disappointing since that is what I go there for. Ordered a ribeye with baked potatoes. When they brought my steak I had mashed potatoes. I said something and the response was we are out of them so mashed and that was it. After eating the waiter came to give us a box. I told him I was disappointed that didn't have baked potatoes. The kitchen didn't tell the waiter. He had some order after ours that also ordered them. My wife and I went there for dinner last night, our first time, and it exceeded our expectations. We'd eaten in Spartanburg, SC frequently and this one was better in all manner. My wife had a small filet and I had their 12 oz NY strip. Wife had Caesar salad while I had their house salad. The sides were the same; sweet potato. Service was excellent and the server checked in 2-3 time to see that everything was to our liking. The salads were chilled and not over-dressed. The steaks were done to our liking, which in my wife's case does not always happen 'cause she likes her steaks rare. Noteworthy is that the steaks were not over-seasoned, which can often happen in a mid-grade steakhouse. Both steaks were nicely trimmed and delish. Last, the potatoes were properly done, which in our experience is not always the case. These had not lived on a steam table that would have dried them out. All in all, worthy of 5 stars. read more
