We were brought 3 of 5 meals and the last two why they arrived were cold. The two tables next to us got partial food . Pretty disgusting meals. Sadly we won't return anytime soon. The absolute worst experience ever from a restaurant. Arrived at 7pm placed order at 7:16pm. Asked for manager because as of 8pm had not received food. Order arrived and was cold. Manager stated would be remade and she would bring it out herself. As of 8:35pm still no food. Wait list.....it works for the restaurant but not for customers If you have a party of 2 you can slip in to the bar area pretty easy. It ts been since June 30, 2023 since we visited the Texas Roadhouse in Hickory NC. Why? Be cause of the sorry Kitchen serving under-cooked raw baked potatoes, dry, tough, cheap steaks and over cooked chicken and a smart mouth kitchen manager. We decided today to try it again and see if anything had improved. BAD DECISION!! Waitress staff were great as always. Baked potato was to perfection. But when the meat came no one asked please check your steak, a smothered grilled chicken with mushrooms and pepper jack cheese came out no cheese. When asked where the cheese was the kitchen person delivering the food replied "the smothered chicken doesn't come with cheese ". To which I pulled out the menu and showed her that it did. She took the plate saying she would get it corrected promptly. At this time Len says look at my steak, it's not fit to eat. His Medium steak was severely burnt, dry and beyond tough. We had to send it back. In excess of a hour later ... No steak, we check the bill and the steak that was to be deducted is still present, we have been charged for teas we didn't have and the free appetizer is still a charge on the bill. We had to request a manager. Bill fixed. And manager informed of how long we had been waiting on the steak to be corrected. Manager returns with steak in a Togo box. Again no one ask please check your steak. She walks away, Len opens box and you can plainly see it's burnt on outside. Len cuts through the burnt exterior to see pink inside steak. However it's the .shittiest quality of steak prep and highly cheap piece of meat we have ever seen on top of being burned, tough and not fit to chew. While I'm sure it will never hurt their business when we never return, the amount of people complaining nearby our table and waiting on requested items was very unreal and sad. Two hours and 10 mins after being seated, the two of us are back in the car bidding a permanent farewell. Goodbye Texas Roadhouse! Never again. read more

Be prepared to wait outside in the cold (or heat depending on your season) because they did away with their waiting area! Multiple Employees were cutting through the line at 12:20 after the restaurant opened at 12, to get inside-apparently late for work. No baked potatoes of any kind were available-no one came in early to bake them, rolls were way overcooked and hard. No cinnamon butter with the rolls. Waited at least 75 minutes for our food and it was cold. Waitress said she'd send the manager to speak to us. We never saw a manager. This place used to be decent. I hate leaving bad reviews on places, especially specific people, but me in my girlfriend our in NC for a new job orientation. Well when we got here we were seated immediately which was nice. Our server Hannah ordered our drinks and it didnt take long for my girlfriends tea to arrive but i ordered a drink from behind the bar and that took a minute, which I didn't think to much of. Wek our server came and took our order and left. As we were sitting there more people came in and sat around us. Soon enough everyone who came in after had all there food drinks and some were even leaving. It came to my realization that our food wasn't even put into the system 30 mins after we ordered and once it was put in the system it took about 10-15 mins for us to receive and we received everything at once.
