We'd never been here so we decided to try it on a Friday evening at 8pm. 1.5 hour wait. Put our name on list and said we'd be at bar having drinks. Was told you can't sit at the bar if waiting for a table. I clarified there's empty seats and I'm BUYING drinks and was told I couldn't sit up there. Got manager Brandon who confirmed we'd have to eat dinner and take name off list. Who does this? Who turns down paying customers passing time at bar having drinks because they're waiting? Order dinner at bar or bust. Awful management. I thought the hostess was confused. I hope they go bankrupt at this rate. It's self inflicted. read more

This is our families favorite franchise steak house. We attend the one in Toledo off Airport two to three times a month. They always have fresh bread and the food is amazing. Jackson however, I'm literally sitting here right now w my family. No bread... Easter weekend the place is packed and everyone at tables around me are just as frustrated. Our salads come and they are missing the croutons lol It's not the end of the world but if when we go to pay our bill we're missing $10 bucks I'm sure that would be unacceptable. Not an even exchange.. go to Toledo or Ann Arbor if your family looks forward to the bread and the same consistency they had before. I am not a fan of chain restaurants at all, but dang is Texas Roadhouse good! Their filet is honestly one of the best I've had, and I've eaten at quite a few of the great steakhouses of metro Detroit! The amount of food you get for the price is impressive, and everything is just really good. You also get plenty of rolls and butter with carryout orders, which is an awesome bonus. I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else for a carryout steak- other restaurants win for ambiance while dining in, obviously, but Texas Roadhouse's steaks are legit, and so much more affordable! read more

Typical Roadhouse experience. Place packed, name on list, given pager and wait....and wait....and wait.....but our pager never went off. Approached check in station and they said they had paged us. We were then seated immediately. Ordered and received our food in a timely manner. Ordered the Roadkill well and received a little bit towards medium rare. It was OK...and I would never send food back. Noisy beyond belief...screaming, yelling going on all about us. read more

Excellent steak options. I had the Dallas, medium well. It was very tender. The rolls with cinnamon butter are delish, and they will bring you a second basket if you want! I had a coconut margarita that was sooo good (and big). read more

great service/staff. complimentary fresh bread rolls with some type of cinnamon butter. the ceasar salad is good but a a little heavy on the dressing. my first time going, my server told me i can't get dressing on the side because they pre-make a large batch. every other time, it wasn't an issue. their drinks are over-sweetened. you can't even tell there's alcohol in it and it's like guaranteed diabetes in a cup. stick with the beer. my other gripe is that their steaks and prime rib is over-salted... every time. even if you ask for no salt, they either forget, or won't do it. read more

The food was good as always but there was a problem with the kitchen and getting our meal within an hour. Though with that said, I give them 4 stars because the service made up for any disapointment. If it were based on our server only, Tracy, I'd give her 5 stars. She was very attentive and kept communicating with us doing all she could to speed up the kitchen. We visited the Jackson, MI Texas Roadhouse on June 20, 2021 at noon. They sat us pretty quickly and our server was great, attentive; food was good. Our issue is that where they sat us the a/c was blowing cold air right on us. We were freezing! We asked to move to another table, but they said no and that they would adjust the temperature. They did not. We had the waiter bring us cloth napkins so we could put them on our laps or around our shoulders. We complained about the blower and asked to see the manager several times, yet one never came to our table. Finally, when we were paying our bill, we practically grabbed a manager and then all she did was apologize for our inconvenience -- no discounted dinners, no gift card enticing us to come back, nothing. We will not go to this Roadhouse again, and maybe not any others! read more

I have been to this same establishment several times and quite honestly it has always been a good experience. We have had a couple servers that were just average, others good, but tonight we had a great server. Rebekah/Bekki (unsure of the correct spelling) was energetic, fun, and had plenty of character. You could really tell that she loved her job and genuinely enjoyed her interactions with the patrons of the restaurant. She was absolutely at the top of her game and was super observant on making sure we had enough bread, water, etc. Also the food was timed perfectly and plates were cleared when empty. I can't forget that the food was fantastic as usual. If you stop at this Jackson location make sure to see if Bekki is working as she will take great care of you. She really makes the dining experience a true delight, oh and she had a really cool accent as well (slightly Aussie style). read more

When i ordered a drink, they asked for "paper" (their words) photo ID. I'm 77 years old so even severely impaired people can tell that I am not underage. I offered a digital copy of my license or passport. That was unacceptable to them, so I left. They have friendly staff and good food so it is too bad that they only get the one star they deserve. read more

I have been to Texas Roadhouse before so I was really excited when I saw we were getting one in town. The steak here is excellent without breaking the bank. The chili is great and the dinner rolls with cinnamon butter is amazing. I also really like their cocktail menu. The atmosphere is fun and lively and all around this is a fun place to hang out, eat drink and relax. This will be a date night destination for me and the husband for now on. read more

I've been at this location three times and each time, I've had fantastic service. They cook my steaks perfect, and give me all the bread I ask for. The fried pickles are absolutely divine and I always have to get some when I'm there. The only bad thing about Texas Roadhouse in general is that they don't open until 4 pm. I like to work out in the early afternoon and I would love to stop here more often but I'm not a fan of rush hour traffic. Other than that, I love this place. read more

I wish I could say there is a local Jackson restaurant where I've had better steak, but it's not true. Texas Roadhouse truly does steak well, and the service is generally above and beyond as so often corporate service can be when the climate and management is right. Hot rolls put on table when we were seated was a waste of a food item (costs for ingredients and manpower to have produced) since there was no plates nor silverware present, nor made readily available, 15 minutes later a server arrived to take beverage order, for a place 3/4 full and with servers not attentive to customers needs, beverages and silverware came and server brought 2 new baskets of rolls along with taking our meal order, when salads arrived it was only a few minutes later that the food arrived, thus a lot at once! The food was great and our server was good. My husband was bummed to learn that Prime Rib is only served on the weekend. Peanuts and bread were good. Waited 45 min for our steak and it wasn't busy. Asked for medium steak and the waitress asked "pink through the middle?". Yes. But it came back well done.
