Not a fan of this Joint. I've been in a handful of times and it's too crowded and they pack you in like clams to get the most money. I'd rather spend my 100$+ meal at Steaks Eatery or Red Lobster rather than here. Restaurants as these seat people based on favoritism. Our servers name was Keegan. She was absolutely one of the sweetest people my boyfriend and I have has service us at a restaurant. She made sure everything was happening and on top of it all, until about a house after we ordered our food did it actually come. The manager was not very nice about it. Being a server myself in the past for 5 years this had really bothered me. Keegan did nothing wrong And somehow it was all still her fault. 10 stars for Keegan. Maybe 2 for the manager. I've eaten here about 4 or 5 times and we've alway had a good meal at a fair price. The free shelled peanuts and the hot rolls served is an added bonus, although I don't care for the cinnamon butter served with the rolls. The side salad served with the meal is better than most other places. If I have any complaint is that it's usually pretty busy unless you go in the "off hours" between lunch and diner. Came here on a Friday night around 9:30 while driving across the state. This place was poppin but we were seated right away. Everything was very well sanitized and they have a solid system in place for Covid precautions. The food was really good and everyone was super nice. You can tell all the staff are really on top of it, the manager stopped by to make sure everything was good and no less than 5 people said 'have a nice night!' on our way out. We called ahead over an hour lead time and had a 7pm reservation. When we arrived at 7pm we were told it was going to be another 30 minute wait. Why have call ahead seating if you're too busy. If there was that much of a wait, it would have been nice to know prior to arrival. It seems nobody really cares either. Never again!!!! read more

My husband and I travel all over the US for my job. I have to say we've ate any many, many TRH. I think our favorite was Grand Junction CO, although I never wrote them a review. The thing that sets you apart from most of the others, is your lack of knowledgeable bartenders and of course the limits you set on them because you're a chain. Let them free pour, trust me you will have happy customers and customers who will spread the word and return. Making an Absolute Tonic with lime and bringing me a glass mostly of Tonic doesn't sit well when you want me to pay $6.50 for it. I'm hoping you get better at this, until then I'll spend my drinking money else where. read more

Great food. The service was a little slow and he waitress really did not come back after you got your meal. I enjoyed my steak it was very tender and cooked to perfection. This has been a terrible experience, restaurant was not busy when we arrived. Service was slow, waitress was very forgetful and full of excuses. Four dinners two bills, they would not allow both of the seperate couples to use a coupon, limit 1 to table, didn't care that it was 2 seperate bills. They ran out of baked potatoes, we were done eating and they still hadn't delivered them but yet the up charge for the loaded potatoes was still on my bill. We went here tonight for my birthday (I did not want to be sang to so we did not share that information). Our waitress Veronica was OUTSTANDING! She informed us my daughter could eat free if she got a kids meal (all about savings). She was prompt with the refills and kept that delicious bread flowing! She is a super star. On a busy Saturday night the appetizer, salads, rolls and dinners were all served within a 5 minute time span. We were given the check when we were about halfway through our meals. Not here to complain about food...the parking...not that there isn't ample parking either but to Complain at the how ya'll expect people in wheelchairs or kids in wheelchairs that park in only handicap spots you have and they can't even a cess the ramp in front of the building cause ya'll did t make the sidewalk wide enough... the cars pull up so far that it takes,away the sidewalk! Stopped in on Saturday afternoon for a drink and a steak at the bar. The place was busy but I found a seat. The service is a little lacking with some of the staff not paying attention to the customers (like they are afraid to look up because someone might want something). I ordered a drink when one of those bums that panhandle at the I94 ramps on Lansing and Airport road exits sat next to me. He ordered the cheapest beer he could get and began to talk to and complain about the place. I tried to ignore him but he wouldn't stop. The staff knew he was making guests uncomfortable but didn't do anything. Another one joined him and I was getting very uncomfortable. I scarfed my fillet down and got the hell out. This is 3rd time I've eaten here and 3rd time I've gotten sick 8 hours later. Love the bread and Cactus Bloom and grilled shrimp is amazing. Surprisingly amazing! My steak cut like butter! Perfectly done with a great atmosphere. The prices were down to earth and I love that the house salad actually had good stuff in it. Went in late on a Friday night , ordered a burger , my wife a salad , loud banging everywhere , the buckets of peanuts that are not eaten are POURED BACK INTO THE BARREL , so you could get nuts that have fallen on table , kids could have played with them , somebody could have wiped something terrible on them , YYuucch ! Watched a waiter wipe seats , menus , empty peanut buckets , and then the table with the same rag , they were going to sweep the dirty peanut shuck floor WHILE WERE EATING , but my wife told them to stop until we finished . Dumb waitress was so into cleaning the table beside us ,nearly kicked my wife in the head . Saw a couple of flies but they didn't land on our table . I took my family here for my wife's birthday dinner, we had been to this chain before just not in this location. The service was very good, the pickle chips were amazing! The steak I had the ribeye and my daughter had the filet. Mine was so salty couldn't taste the meat I normally bring my leftovers home to my dog but this had way to much salt to feed to her. My daughters filet was still blue in the middle she did order it Med rare but it was still cold in the center. But at this restaurant they ask you to cut your steak as soon as you get it to make sure it's done to your liking (which I was impressed with) so my daughter so it was too raw, waitress said No Problem we will put it back on for a minute and bring it right back. That was very cool until that 1 minute turned to 20 and no steak. Finally a manager brought it out and said here you go sorry it wasn't right the first time and my daughter said well I can clearly see you microwaved this steak. The manager said oh well let me bring you a new one by then we all had been long done eating and we just said no thanks. The bill was 110 with tip so not bad for four people I had one tap beer too so over all good price but not so much good food! read more

Very good food, service is good. Wait times are long, but you can call ahead and get your name on the list. The rolls and cinnamon butter are delicious. I have been here many times, and don't have anything to complain about. They have over cooked my steak before, but they were quick to get me a different one. Normally this is our favorite place to eat. First time here, we had issues, but we gave it a 2nd chance and it has been good up until today. I noticed that the rolls (which I usually love) were changed. They were chewy and big like the ones you buy in a grocery store. Ok so we get our food and my steak was ok but the mushrooms were cooked so much they were burnt. My husband's catfish was wayyyyy overcooked and very salty. He ordered a kicker of shrimp, way too salty, corn was way too salty. The shrimp which is served with lemon butter was served with garlic butter that was much too salty. It seemed like everything was salty. I asked the waitress if they have a new cook and she said yes, there is a new cook. When we got home, my husband actually got sick. Not sure what was wrong with the food, but there definitely was something amiss. But we did have a nice waitress. Food-not so much. $65.00 wasted We have never had any issues with Lansing Texas Road House, so when and if we go back, it will not be in Jackson. read more

I went here last week with my family, we had 12 people with us so we called ahead and they told us that seats will be ready for us at 5:00. We got there at 4:50, got our seats at 5:00 as told. We were also told we had to leave at 6:00. Half of us get our food at 5:30, the other half got their food 20 minutes later. So there was no way we were gonna be out of there by 6:00. On top of that my mother and I asked for well-done hamburgers yet it was still pink and I can not eat pink, it makes me sick, and my uncle asked for a medium rare steak and it was overcooked so he had to wait an extra 10 minutes to get that. And since we had 12 people one of the workers had to pull up a chair to one of the tables we were using and another worker said we can't do that, so we got a manager and talked to them and well they weren't much help at all.
