Jay D.

This one star rating is solely based on service and lack of Covid precautions. When we entered the hostess was the only person wearing a mask correctly. Everyone else either didn't have a mask on or had it on covering just their mouth and not their nose. The male manager who was traying up each order in the kitchen had his mask around his neck and not on his face at all. About half the customers were following their example and doing the same things. Food was great although my ribeye wasn't the best cut I've ever had but still delicious. They seated us in the main walkway and we asked to move to a different table and they refused us that table even though our server had a table in the section we asked to move to.

Food is always good. Service at the bar is always the best. The rolls are the best. Atmosphere is loud but other than that it's great.

Everything we have ordered has been top notch. We got hooked on the creme Brulé a couple of years ago and now it is a must do every time we go there. It's located in the old, refurbished RR depot and has that quaint atmosphere and ambiance we really enjoy. That time is almost here again and am trying to get reservations, which BTW, has to be done by phone even though they have been promising online reservations "coming soon" almost from day one in 2017. Get with it Marble! This is annoying.

The asparagus was too chunky and woody... it tasted like it was old. The crab (steak Oscar) was canned, but it was remarkably high quality for canned crab, and didn't detract from the dish. My girlfriend enjoyed her meal as well. We also ordered the "chocolate tower" which turned out to be an extremely large slice of chocolate cake. It didn't "tower" but rather was lying on the plate as one regularly would serve cake, so the name was confusing. The cake was okay, though tasted a little dry, like it had been hanging around in the fridge for too long. It was an overall good dining experience and we'll try it again sometime, but probably trying a different dessert.

Our server, Caidence, was friendly, but she seemed completely unaware of what was going on…read morethroughout our meal. When we were settled we were the first table in her section, and she only had three tables total (our party of 5, a party of 4, and a 2-top), yet she seemed very overwhelmed. We waited around 15-20 minutes just to place our order while it seemed she took care of the other two tables first. From there, there were multiple mistakes. While setting food down, the strings from her bracelet dragged right across my steak. I didn't want the kitchen to have to remake my steak because of her, so I didn't make a big deal out of it. But it's something a server should be aware of. As she was still taking our order, we changed one side from fries to a baked potato. She said no problem and that she'd fix it, but the food still came out with fries. We had to ask for several items that were missing, and it took around 10 minutes before she returned with them. Only then did she acknowledge the baked potato after we brought it up. The biggest issue was the Sirloin Sydney Salad. The menu describes it as fresh mixed greens, arugula, cucumbers, tomatoes, bacon, pepitas, blue cheese crumbles, balsamic glaze, and steak. The only modification requested was no balsamic glaze, with the tomatoes, bacon, pepitas, and blue cheese on the side. Instead, the salad came out as a bowl of iceberg lettuce with about four cucumber slices and the steak on top. There were no mixed greens, no arugula, and none of the requested toppings on the side. After we had pointed it out to her, she eventually brought a small condiment cup of arugula and another with pepitas, after we were basically finished eating. The arugula was soggy, and the rest of the missing toppings never came. Paying around $22 for what was essentially iceberg lettuce and steak was very disappointing. Some of the blame certainly falls on the kitchen, but as a former server myself, I know it's also the server's responsibility to notice when a dish is obviously incorrect before bringing it to the table and to have it fixed. There were simply too many mistakes, and there seemed to be very little awareness of what was happening. Despite everything, we still left a decent tip because we eat out often and generally tip well. If I had been dining alone, though, this would have been one of the few times I felt a 10% tip was more appropriate. One final disappointment was that someone in our party ordered a sweet potato and was told they were out because they had used them all throughout the week. This was on a Sunday. It seems like a restaurant should plan inventory well enough to have a basic side item available through the weekend. Overall, the experience was frustrating because it wasn't just one mistake, it was a pattern of poor attention to detail from both the server and the kitchen.

We sat in a secluded area that honestly felt like we were on a boat. I got a Guiness on draft (because you HAVE to when you're at an Irish bar, right?). It was smooth and frothy. We got the pretzel bites and beer cheese (really good) and fried pickles. I got a french dip sandwich - which was on soft toast which made it really hard to dip in the au juis with fries (which were really cripsy and flavorful). Honestly, I've had better dip sandwiches so I wouldn't get it again however they have a very large menu and lots of Irish favorites. Will go back to the establishment for something else. Street parking- didn't see any private flat lot however there is a parking garage about a block away available. Service was good, no complaints.

Definitely would go back and recommend you try it as well.

In the world of tenderloins, these are stars. I ordered a lunch special my husband wisely ordered the tenderloin. Mine was...well look at the pictures. It was very tasty with the tenderloin you can taste that it's pork not a fried cracker. I will certainly get one next time. It's honestly the way to go.. I have a very sensitive nose and I can smell old oil at 100 feet there was no smell of oil at all. My husband had fries and they were not at all oily. Your waiter and waitress are the owners and the cook and whatever needs to be done I guess very pleasant prompt service. I'm going to post a bunch of pictures. The mashed potatoes in the picture are actual mashed potatoes not fake The green beans are probably canned possibly frozen. They were fine. My husband is the gravy connoisseur and he said the gravy was excellent. Everything you see in the pictures that I post everything including a 20% tip came to $22 and less than $.50 unbelievable .

I counted five booths and five counter stools that stayed full during our visit. The staff (a couple) are salt-of-the-earth sweet and hustle to keep orders coming. They know the regulars by name and cajole about family. The menu offers breakfast or lunch, with tenderloins as the featured items. Prices are inexpensive. Food comes out quickly. The tenderloins are premade and frozen. They are thin and the breading is flavorful. I had the daily special, a Tenderloin Manhattan which came with green beans and mashed potatoes. This was pure comfort food. The potatoes and tenderloin were good, but the gravy was over salty for me. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich with fries. The tenderloin was ok and the fries were really hot and good. An article on the wall indicated that Artie, the original owner, passed away in an auto accident in 1954. A local business award plaque hung above our table. I'm not sure that the shop is A.D.A. compliant as there are steps at the front door and the aisle is very narrow. There may be a ramp at a rear entrance, I couldn't tell. We found free street parking on an adjacent street. I give the place high marks on character and I love the service. The food is ok.
