Most of the time meals here are on point. The last time we were here it was awful. Waited 30 minutes for them to remake my steak that was well over done. Tonight my steak came out over cooked again, not wanting to wait 30 minutes again we didn't say anything. Manager Regina came by to ask how everything was and I said it was okay. She asked what was wrong with my food and I told her. She apologized for the mistake offered to take care of my meal I told her that wasn't necessary as I already had a free meal ticket from my last visit. Used to be the best place to eat in Lima, Ohio. Was there yesterday and was very disappointed. Ordered steak cooked medium, but arrived very rare. Also the rolls arrived burned on the bottom, over baked, dry and tough. Hope this improves soon!!!! read more

I absolutely love this Texas Roadhouse location. The location is amazing, right across from the Hampton Inn. I stay in the area occasionally on business, and have come to depend on online ordering. They do a great job of getting the order pulled together within the promised time frame, and the quantity of food for the money is fantastic. Ooh man is thia salty. My mouth is tenderized. Wife had 16 oz Fort worth ribeye. It was a bit on the mushy side. I had the 21 oz bone in ribeye with mushroom and onion. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. 2 years ago I would have given them a 5 star review but now, no way. The last couple of time I have ordered take out from there has been a disaster but tonight was by far the worst. I ordered one Fort Worth ribeye smothered with mushrooms and a side of green beans and a house salad with extra dressing add bacon bits. I also ordered an 11 oz sirloin with loaded steak fries, and a caesar salad. I also ordered a 4 piece kids chicken meal with apple sauce and a kid Mac and cheese meal with corn. I received my items and I began to look through the bag because they have been awful with orders lately. The first box I open are the rolls. The are the burnt to a crisp and hard. The next back I open is the sirloin, the fries have barley melted cheese on them and they are missing bacon. The next box I open is what is supposed to be the kids chicken strips, instead it's 4 quarter size pieces of cut up chicken. Literally every box was missing something or not made correctly. I won't be returning. If you decide to eat there don't order anything extra or loaded because they will charge you and not give it to you. read more

I came in tonight with my best friend to eat some dinner and get a marg for marg monday. I have never had an issue at this Texas Roadhouse ever. 5 stars for taking excellent care of a customer! Tonight, after a long drive, I checked into my hotel and walked to Texas Roadhouse. Sitting at the bar, I was greeted by Kenzie who's shared that margaritas where 1/2 off tonight. Well give me one! Time passed. People came. People went. I was finishing my 1st drink when I ordered chili. Then another frozen Margarita. After a few minutes, I ordered a salad. The salad never arrived and after 20 minutes, thinking it was never put in, I asked for my check. When Mindy, another bartender, brings my check, I see the salad was on the ticket. I asked her to remove the salad stating it never arrived. She seems bewildered and went to the kitchen. After a few minutes, Mindy comes out with a to go bag, followed by Regina, a manager. Mindy had the kitchen make my salad to go, throwing in some delicious Texas Roadhouse bread. Regina comped my ticket and gave me a free meal voucher. Both were disappointed that I had a bad experience and both were very apologetic. I wasn't upset, just really tired from a long day and shared they did not need to do any of this to make up for a lost salad. They insisted and with that my meal was over. I owe Mindy some cash for a tip, which I will handle tomorrow, but Regina and Mindy went over and above what I expected over a missed salad. Thank you! Yes, I know this is a chain steak house and I usually never go into a place like this. i went here while on business in Lima and found the 12oz Fillet Mignon to be one of the best I have had anywhere. Normally, I love Texas Roadhouse. This location did NOT live up to our expectations. We went in with a party of 9, and we were told there would be a 35-45 minute wait, which was fine. After about 45 minutes, they escorted us to our table...only they were seating us at two SEPARATE booths. Half our party drove to Lima from Piqua and the other half from Grand Rapids. We did not drive an hour to meet up for separate dinners, obviously we wanted to be seated together. When a member of our party went back to speak with the hostess about the situation, he was told if we wanted to sit together it would be another 60 minute wait. While he was speaking with the hostess, our waiter came to take drink orders and we told him very, very politely that we weren't happy with the arrangement. He left for a moment and came back stating that it would be another 30 minute wait. We decided to stick with the current seating situation, and he apologized. Our waiter was pleasant. The food was fine. My filet was not the choice cut of meat that it usually is, but otherwise everything was just fine. What bothers me most about this whole thing... 1. the hostess did not inform us of the seating situation or give us a choice in the matter from the very beginning. 2. They did nothing to rectify the mistake. No one ever came to our tables to be sure that we were doing okay as far as the seating went. The manager did their usually quick sweep, asking how the food was, but by the time any of us realized that was the manager she was already gone. 3. The staff at this particular restaurant are under the impression it is perfectly reasonable to split parties between somewhat adjacent booths. I would just like to say that this was the worst I have ever experienced at this restaurant. It was New Year's Eve, we had a party of 12 . it wasn't busy and the food was ridiculous. The waitress did the best she could, but we had two people that waited for their meals for quite a while one didn't even get all his potato, steaks were overcooked under cooked. one person got a loaded potato with nothing on it. We got 4 rolls for 7 people. One person used his gift card(s) for a 28. 00 bill and got 4.89 back on his card. They were both for 25.00 each. I never complain and I had to have my steak returned. Texas roadhouse has wonderfully seasoned steaks (the secret ingredient is salt, but they DO salt them correctly) and excellent barbeque. Everything else you could close your eyes and pretend you are in outback steak house, Lone star or any other chain restaurant. Overly sweet rolls with honey whipped laden butter, peanuts in a bucket, sides that were butchered into tasting like frozen or instant whipped mashed potatoes. The starter salads are also another chain restaurant cliche' clone here. Cheddar cheese shredded on top of a mound of iceburg with honking croutons and Ranch. However, it isn't Texas Salad and tofu cafe, it's a texas roadhouse. Order what you came to get: Meat and/or BBQ. You won't be let down by those choices--oh and don't forget the Blue Moon draft! YUM! Service is consistent; you will never run dry on BEvERages, but it is very scripted and has a corporate chain restaurant feel to it! Never the less, worth a try! read more

While I like the food here, service is hit or miss. And the waiting process is dumb. We have to wait to be seated until everyone in our group shows up. I could be drinking right now instead of sitting in the lobby. However, on the plus side it's saving me lots of money by me not drinking and therefore my tip will be significantly lower too. I have been here numerous times and the place is OK, however if you want to be in hurry-up mode this is the place to go. They will bring a drink quick, and then they expect you to immediately order. What if you want to wait a few minutes? After 4 trips back within 10 minutes, I think our waitress got the message. We told her we will flag her down when ready. Soon after we got a visit from the manager asking if everything was alright- we sent her packing as well. The management is pushing turnover, which is fine, but they should tell you that up front! On another note, make sure you tell the waitstaff to NOT season the meat or potatoes. They over season everything- way toooo salty! read more

For a chain restaurant this place is pretty damn good. The steaks and BBQ choices are excellent, with the pulled pork being a personal favorite. Their salmon is actually tasty too, though it is a little too salty at times. I'd say the salads are pretty mediocre, but their veggie sides are a good compliment to their meats. However, Christmas eve on our way home we stopped in to give them a try again, and yes we were happy enough that we went again this past week. Can't say enough about our server (Brittany) and shift lead (Cat)! Excellent customer service! I had ordered the kabob that comes with seasoned rice and a side, I choose a side salad. This side salad is one of the best I have seen anywhere for a side salad. When ask if everything was OK, I stated that the meat is seems to be tough and also didn't expect that type of sauce on a steak kabob (sweet/sour?). I was told, not a problem and ask what else they could bring me. No excuses, just correcting the problem. Also, the shift lead came out and spoke to us to ensure everything was to our liking. It's pretty much your typical Texas Roadhouse with buckets of peanuts and shells all over the place. You certainly don't want t come here if you have a peanut allergy!! I absolutely could make an entire meal out of the warm rolls smothered in that cinnamon butter!!! I usually wind up filling up on those little things and then am too full to finish my entree. I've had steaks here, but usually go with either the chicken fried chicken or just the BBQ chicken, which was my choice this time. The BBQ chicken was tender and I was easily able to cut it with just a fork. The coworkers that I was with said their ribs were just OK and not overly hot. Service was good, although it feels like the manager came by asking how we were doing more than our waitress. Friendly staff especially for Lima. The place feels a little dirty due to the free peanuts (typical at every location) but it's worth it. The shortage of parking places makes dinner time a nightmare especially since the lot doesn't wrap around the building. The waiting room is also always overfilled but you are seated fair quickly.
