    Ft Ft. Worth Ribeye*

If there's one thing Texas Roadhouse can hang their hat on, it's definitely consistency. Being 500 miles away from home, I knew that I could count on TR to provide one of the best steaks in town. I went with my classic-- Ft Worth ribeye smothered in sautéed mushrooms, side salad with ranch and loaded fries. I'm convinced that combination is unmatched. Service was delightful, as always. Top notch hospitality.

Bit of a mixed bag here in regards to this review. My family came to Texas Roadhouse one night after watching the symphony. We were famished and really wanted some good food. There was no wait to be seated and we were quickly escorted to our seat. The waiter was friendly throughout the night and first got our drink orders, which were just soda, as well as our appetizer orders. We ordered some wings to start, and of course we got that delicious bread that Texas Road House is known for. The bread was amazing as always, I just love the butter they use! The wings were lackluster and flavorless, its really just drenched in hot sauce. We ordered our main courses which were: For my brother a burger and fries For me some chicken tenders and fries with honey mustard For my mom some chicken fried steak We also got some cups of chilli as a side as well. The chili was delicious. It was an incredibly cold night, and it hit the spot and warmed us. It was the highlight of the meal. I also did enjoy my chicken. My brother was ambivalent about his burger, felt it needed more flavor. My mom hated the chicken fried steak, it did not taste right at all. She later was sick that night from eating, so the night did not end well at all. As much as I loved the chili and the bread, not sure I will come back.

Rare steak that was still cold in middle

Get someone who knows how to cook a steak !! As you can see in the phot , I ordered the steak medium and it came out rare and still cold in middle .. won't be back , you lost a loyal customer

Huge restaurant serving large portions. The steaks are cooked well and lots of choices of meat. They have chicken, fish, and salad too. Large bar menu. The warm rolls with sweet butter are great. Efficient staff.

The Met has a policy that your server gets to proudly wear a crown if their name is mentioned in a five star review. Love that policy!! Wear it proudly Ashely!! The Met is a unique building downtown Lima. It was built in the late 1880's and was originally home to the The Metropolitan Bank. It has since been morphed into a restaurant with very attractive original features. The wood floors and plaster ceilings...along with the attractive decor really enhance the dinning experience! The team here is very friendly, professional and welcoming. Ashley was outstanding. She hustled, knew her menu and had great recommendations. Ashley was very attentive and helped us enjoy the evening. I appreciated Liz stopping by and welcoming us. Liz shared lots of history and helped us appreciate the facility. The Met has a large food menu that has something for everyone. They have a large selection of beverages and specialty cocktails. All at reasonable prices. We started with a couple of Mule drinks. One was a designer St. Patrick's Day Mule and their specialty Met Mule. Both were very tasty, cool and refreshing . We started with the Focaccia bread appetizer. It had a lightly golden/chewing top with a soft and moist inside. Liz said that they make the bread fresh three times a day. The bread had a slight olive oil taste with a mild amount of Italian herbs. The soft whipped butter was a nice add. The side salad had lots of fresh spring greens. There was a few tasty tomatoes and lots of stronger tasting onions. The thin Parmesan cheese shreds were an excellent touch. The house ranch dressing was very smooth/light/creamy moderately thin with a mild ranch taste. My wife had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. The crust was thin and crispy. She really liked the ranch house made sauce and how it accented the meat toppings. I had the Met Meatloaf which had an outstanding meat flavor. The meat was made with Italian sausage which had a slightly spicy kick. It was moist and tender to go along the beefy taste. The smooth red sauce on top was slightly sweet & spicy. It accented the meat nicely. The mashed potatoes were real with lumps, eyes and minute peel pieces. Very smooth and delicious! The grilled asparagus had a slight crisp to go along with the tender stalk. Not much seasoning detected...just a nice olive oil taste. Overall a fantastic dinner experience. We sat street level and watched the pedestrians come & go while enjoying the decor of this unique facility! The menu is large and the food and drinks are outstanding. A special trip to The Met in downtown Lima is worth a try!

We arrived at 11:30 and left at 2. They were nice to let us linger. Everything we had was terrific. Soups are made in-house. I'm thinking most all things on the very large menu were probably very good. They seem to care about the details. We also shared some ice cream cookie sundae concoction that was 5*. Metered parking on the street and there was a free lot but it was full. Meters were $2 for two hours. Nice staff and there were no staff shortages! Lilly our server was perfect. If we pass through again we will stop in! The bar area is exquisite.

I started with a gummy bear cocktail, which was just like drinking a strawberry Jolly Rancher. Then my date & I were served toasted ravioli as our appetizer... they were perfect! Crispy on the outside, soft & tasy on the inside. The marinara complimented the ricotta and breaded pasta well. For my meal, I had some yummy fried shrimp with cocktail sauce. I was very pleased. My curly fried potato wedges (don't call them curly fries!) were crisp on the outside & soft inside. I really enjoyed them. My side of fruit & side salad with balsamic vinaigrette were fine, neither great nor terrible. My fiancé had some delicious chili, though it was cold when served. Out waitress obliged our request to reheat it & when it came back out, it was just right. The cornbread was moist, sweet, and "cakey." I'm from North Carolina &, let me just say, the cornbread was some of the best I've had in ages. The chicken sandwich was good. We ordered some cinnamon caramel pretzel bites (like cinnamon sugar balls) to go & I can attest that they didn't last long the next day when they were warmed up. Overall, this was a nice meal in a quaint Ohio downtown. Should we return to Lima, we'll stop in at 318 again!

Our absolute favorite has been the Burgers & Brew night on Wednesdays and Thursdays, specifically since they rolled out the smash burgers a few months back. They are easily some of the best in the area. The tabletop adverts and menus clearly state "$9.99 ANY Burger." Now, we're reasonable people. When we order the Double Smash, it usually rings up around $12.99 or $13.99. Even though the ad explicitly says "ANY" burger, we never complained about paying a few bucks extra for the double patty because it made sense. But last Thursday was a completely different story. When the bill came, both of our double smash burgers were charged at the full regular menu price of $16.99 each. When I questioned our waitress about it, she casually told me, "Yes, the doubles are always regular price and aren't included in the special." Excuse me? This "little side note" is absolutely nowhere on the menu, the flyers, or the Burger & Brew adverts sitting right on the tables. The ad literally says "ANY burger." We weren't even expecting to get them for $9.99--we just expected the $12.99-$13.99 upcharge we've been paying for months! To completely pull the special out from under us with zero warning or menu notation is just sneaky. It's incredibly frustrating to get nickeled and dimed when you're loyal customers. Out of principle, this bait-and-switch pricing left such a bad taste in our mouths that our weekly visits are officially over. Plenty of other places in the area value their regulars more than this. P.S. We didn't just rush to blast them online, either. We tried contacting their customer service message system through both the app and the website on three separate occasions. Every single time, we got an automated response promising someone would get back to us within 3 days. It's now been 8 days. Dead silence. Incredible "customer service."

I love the no-frills vibe of the venue, staff and customers. My first impression? Dark! I arrived at noon:30 because a passing acquaintance mentioned Lombardo's having the best BPTS. The staff and regulars numbered five and were bantering about nothing at high decibel. I sat at the bar and grabbed a menu. It is a perfectly useful, simple, no-frills list of food and prices. The bartender/waitress was a tad slow to engage this newcomer, but finally got around to taking my order and delivering a glass of water. My second impression? Still dark. The BPTS arrived after the usual wait and was hot from the fryer. It comes with nothing, but the usual garnishes are available for an up-charge that seems a tad rich. $1 for a slice of winter tomato? Pass. $1 for a slice of cheese? Pass. $1 for a slice of onion? Pass. The bun was fresh and the pickle spear was beginning to trend from crisp and crunchy towards a hint of limp. I enjoyed the porky goodness and flashbacks to my childhood BPTS memories. Will I return? Probably. I hope that the kitchen will do breakfast-for-lunch. I am also curious about their hamburger ... $3.50, but the double hamburger is more than 2x the regular burger. What's with that?
