First of all this is one of our FAVORITE restaurants and fave steak joint. I did a google review recently and the service was NOT good-maybe 1 star IF that and the food was wrong. The manager took this personally and wanted to make it right. And oh did he! Anyways we got married on Thursday and wanted everyone to meet us here at 6 for dinner to celebrate. They don't do reservations and they will not hold tables. They also will not seat you until your party-all of your party-is there. Sooo if you have a party of 10 or more and don't want to wait an hour or better do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I called 2weeks in advance and was told to call back several times and each time I got a different answer. One young lady told me she felt sure they could hold a table for our party of 35-we ended up being 25 in the end-bc they held 35 seats for a volleyball team. That's just one of the stories. Anyways after we FINALLY got seated and we're starving to death we ordered. We had 2 waitresses and also 2 extra ladies serving. Our food was out to us quick, the rolls were plentiful, the drink glasses were refilled quickly also, the servers were friendly and attentive. Our waitress was extremely helpful and sweet!! I asked about the other waitress and they said the same thing!! My steak was once again burnt when I order medium rare and it had to be sent back but they sent it out perfectly the second time!! We chose this place bc you get a variety of choices in food and that food is delish AND the prices are reasonable. I don't like the fact that I was given the run around on the phone and that my steak was burnt. That was the problem I had the last time. walked in at 9.. our server indy had an attitude right in front of us as the hostess was taking us to our table. had to ask foodrunner and other server to help us my chili got cold because i didn't have a spoon! no one, not even the manager acknowledged us at all.. had to wait 20 minutes for our first basket of rolls. didn't give the correct amount of change when we paid because "it would take too long to find it". she was also sitting at the table directly beside us with another server and my table fet like we couldn't have a comfortable conversation.. read more

In the dozens of times Ive been here previously, NEVER a problem, but that came to an end at 1pm today. Walked in and was seated, and waited...and waited...and waited for any server. After nearly 15 minutes, I went upfront to ask why there was no server. Heres the kicker though: the place was MAYBE 30% full, and two tables in front of me is where the servers were hanging out, with no regard to any patrons. They not once got up to bother to take care of anyone (about 9 of them). Fine...after waiting, I simply walked out. Im done with them. Everyone with half a brain knows how bad the restaurant business is, so one would think if you really want to maintain much less GROW your business which is a restaurant, you do everything and then some to KEEP CUSTOMERS HAPPY. Visited the Texas Roadhouse tonight. Great food. Great service. Bone in Ribeye cooked to perfection. Definitely worth the wait!

Food was great. However the constant birthday singing was VERY annoying. Loud and was every 10-20 minutes. So loud we couldn't even talk.

Went in on a Friday evening was not packed seated right away. It literally took 18 minutes before our server came and took our drink orders. After the server had stood near our table talking and multiple servers walked past our booth. The food was ok a little on the cold side. read more

I would give this place a average rating. Nothing to complain about, but nothing that knocked my socks off either. You walk in and are welcomed by some college girl hostess, there is a meat counter, so you can look at the steaks, peanut shells all over the floors, nice family setting. If you have kids that make a huge mess, it would blend right into the peanut shells on the floor, good kids menus and decent variety for regular menu. I say try it once. read more

We have always loved going to Texas Roadhouse. Our ribeyes have always been tasty and tender, and the wonderful ranch dressing makes the salad taste amazing. After many visits, the steaks became tough and chewy. .Because we had always liked their steaks, we continued to return, several more times. We finally stopped going when the steaks were no longer up to par, but still missed the ones that we once enjoyed. We finally decided to try one more time, several days ago. Our salads were great, with a full bowl of salad (in the past, they had become quite sparse). Our steaks came out and mine was great! My husband had to send his medium-well steak back as it was as red as my rare steak. When it came back, it was perfect, and we finally got those tender steaks that we have always enjoyed. One suggestion.......the music was so loud that we could not hear what the other was saying and our waitress was having trouble hearing us. (This was at lunch) In a western bar, I would expect loud music, but not at this volume when people are eating and talking. I am hard-of-hearing, and it even hurt my ears. read more

I have eaten here several times, and the food is always great. However when we went tonight, I had a clear view of the kitchen. I was able to see one of the cooks repeatedly hand-feed himself as he was sending orders out. It was disgusting that he would touch his own mouth and then handle other people's food without washing his hands or changing his gloves! If I go back, I'm going to be watching the kitchen like a hawk. read more

The food was awesome. The service sucks!!!!!!!!!!! My family and I were at Texas Roadhouse in Mobile on April 1, 2013. My four year old daughter kept asking for a refill. She was completely ignored. My brother told the waiter, whose name is LOGAN, that we needed a refill for my daughter and peanuts to go. He completely ignored us. Logan did not clear out our dirty plates off our table. He was rude and I will NEVER eat at Texas Roadhouse in Mobile, AL again. I would rather shovel sh**. Customer service is everything.... If you treat people with disrespect, you are going to lose customers or even get sued for a variety of reasons. read more

Ate there a while ago, we arrived kind of late, which is never good if you ever worked in a resturant you know what I mean. In any case, the service was great and so was the food and the prices were resonable, it is a great place to try if you are looking for a steak house in the Mobile area. read more

I should have taken the fact that I was on hold for 11 minutes for call ahead seating as a sign... but I didn't. I walked to the hostess stand with my phone in hand, still on hold. One hostess informed me that they had been receiving calls, while the other hostess said it was only applicable for an hour out. Makes zero sense. We were quoted a 10-15 minute wait time. 20 minutes later, we were sat at the table with a basket of rolls and no butter. Nothing like dry bread. We placed our drink order and the waitress brought our drinks with no lemons and no drink for my daughter. We placed our order. I ordered a half chicken critter salad and loaded sweet potato. Waitress confirmed my order. She came back and said she didn't think they did half salads. I informed her I always order this at the Milton, FL location. In fact, I have never eaten a full chicken critter salad. She goes to ask her manager. Manager comes back to table asking if I just want grilled chicken and a half side salad. I didn't order grilled chicken, I ordered a chicken critter salad. This process took about 5 painful minutes before the manager understood what I wanted. I don't care how you have to ring it up, if the customer had a request, you make it happen. Then we waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive while watching patrons, who were sat well after us, receive their entrees. My husbands steak- ordered medium rare- came out nearly well done. He choked it down in his true stubborn nature. We finally received our check and it took the waitress no less than 10 minutes to come back and run our card. Needless to say, we left frustrated and feeling defeated. I worked in the service industry for years, so I feel that I have a level- headed view on how things should be run on the front and back end of the house. I will not be returning to this Texas Roadhouse location after our experience there tonight. I am giving this two stars because, besides my husbands steak, the food was fine. Otherwise, I would have given this one star given the domino effect of displeasure we experienced. read more

My mother decided she wanted to have a sit down dinner with the family with no cooking and cleaning on our parts, so we all decided on Texas Roadhouse. My mother called to find out if reservations were offered since there would be a seating of 9 with a highchair needed. The girl she spoke with on the phone said they would absolutely be able to seat us and to call back an hour before we wanted to arrive. So we called at 5:20, set it up for 6:30. We get there and as you walk through the door they have banners and stickers up for their call ahead. Walk inside, tell the hostess our name and ticket number we were giving and asked if we wanted to be split 5 and 5. We declined because we wanted to sit together as a family obviously. So we were told it would be 30-40 minutes. Well.. I just do not understand the point it was to call ahead if we were still going to have to wait! Had we known this option was completely useless we would have arrived much earlier because a 30-40 minute wait with children seems like a lifetime, especially when they are hungry, hot, and thirsty. So we wait. And guess what?! We were still split up! What kind of family dinner is that?! When 4 of us have to sit separated?! Needless to say my mother was disappointed and I will NOT be back. Her face of disappointment when she was trying to speak with the 4 of us separated really broke my heart. Not to mention food was cold, soggy, and the waitress did not "love her job". read more
