My husband asked for a rare prime rib, the server came back and said sorry we are out of the Rare Prime rib!? Okay?? So that would give the impression the food is not cooked fresh but is from frozen in stock meat.. (at this point we...

couldn't even eat it. Both my husband and I ordered the loaded baked potato and that was bad also.. I feel like everything was premade.. only because I can make food better at home than what we ordered. My husband and I don't get to do date night as much as we like and we took a lot of time choosing this restaurant we were so disappointed. We both tasted each other's food and didn't like what the other had. It was horribly overpriced for what we had. I will say the bread and butter was delicious. The service was very good as was the ambiance. I however will never go here again.

Always great food sometimes it can be a little too loud but the atmosphere is always great food is always spot on perfect and delicious Bone in Ribeye is so flavorful and cooked to perfection will definitely be back

asked, but I didn't wanna make a big deal out of it. I guess they keep it closed do to the glare of TVs. I saved half of my food for lunch and it was just as good. I don't think we ever had a bad meal at any of the Texas roadhouse. They be cooking that Southern food. I never make gravy at home so it was a nice treat to have gravy on my chicken. Even the one in Elk Grove is really good. Keep up the good work management and staff. A lot of places are struggling, but I don't see a struggle in sight here. Thank you! I didn't take pics this time because I was so hungry.

I usually get the grilled pork chop until I found out they have chicken fried chicken with white gravy! It's just like grandmas special recipe. And of course the fresh made rolls with cinnamon butter. You can't go wrong at this place....

Another day and another 20oz. Bone In Rib eye. If you can't cook a steak at home, order one of these medium-rare. I like the green beans and the hot rolls. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lively and loud atmosphere at dinner time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server on this visit was upbeat and memorized the entire order, impressive.

If you craving a steak this place not bad. I go for the hot bread rolls with butter. Service is great have not had a bad experience. I usually go for lunch during the week because Fridays-Sundays forget it you wont catch me waiting with that said, if you super hungry on a weekend be mindful you will be waiting up to an hour. So plan ahead if you going. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place gets crowded and I do like booth tables though feels you next to others & place does get loud since lots people conversation at the same time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Just wanted to give a big shoutout to this Texas Roadhouse location for their exceptional service on Thursday night despite them being so busy with all the families of many graduates . We had a party of 12 and were told it would be a hour wait but we waited about 20-30 minutes and while we were waiting one of the employees came out and handed free bags of peanuts to everyone. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had the outside decorated with graduation decorations and had a cute Photo Booth with props set up at the entrance[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . We were all seated and our drink orders were taken right away we also got 6 baskets of their delicious bread which I thought was very generous especially with how busy the restaurant was . Our server took our appetizer and entree order right away and surprisingly our meals were out in less than 30 minutes. All the while our server and other employees all seemed happy to be serving everyone despite being so busy . Thank again for making our special night celebrating our daughter's graduation even better !!!!

Texas Roadhouse never fails to hit the spot! We started with their legendary Cactus Blossom -- crispy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing -- along with their freshly baked bread that melts in your mouth, especially with the cinnamon butter. Honestly, by the time our meals arrived, we were already stuffed! I had the Steakhouse Filet Salad, and my husband had the fried catfish. Both were delicious, and we enjoyed what we could manage after the appetizers. My favorite drink here is the Strawberry Cucumber Fuzzy -- so refreshing -- and my husband really enjoyed the Sparkling Berry Bliss. The service is always great, friendly, and attentive. It can be a bit loud, but that's just part of the lively, roadhouse-style atmosphere. Definitely a place we'll keep coming back to for good food, fun energy, and great service.

Checked this place out because we got a gift card from our daughter for Christmas . It was very crowded but we got seated pretty fast . Service was very good too . I loved the drinks and the appetizers and even thought the food came out fast it wasn't the hottest . This was my first time eating here and everything was amazing! From the customer service to the vibe to the food. The place was hopping for a Wednesday a little after 5pm. I put me and my son in the waitlist in the mobile app just in case, and we were immediately seated upon arrival. The restaurant was busy. But no shortage of employees and all were friendly and said hello. To start off, of course we had the rolls. My son had the regular butter covered rolls, but they brought out a basket for me without any butter on top. So hot. So soft. So pillowy. I could have eaten the entire basket! I had a coupon for a free appetizer so my son chose the fried pickles. Came out super fast, hot and crunchy. He loved them. For our mains, I chose the 6 oz Dallas Filet Mignon (simply grilled with no oil or butter), medium rare. Cooked to perfection (even though it was a little cold by the time I got it), but melted in my mouth and was definitely lean. There was only one little piece of a gristly fat vein. For the price, this was definitely top notch for filet mignon! My sides were steamed vegetables with no butter/oil. I do not like carrots, so I just ate the four pieces of broccoli. And then I got the fries. OMG. Some of the best fries of my life. So thick, crunchy on the outside but melted like butter on the inside. And the seasoning on top was so good. I love that they keep a bit of the peel on it too. Let me tell you what...it was hard limiting myself to eating only 4-5 of them! My son got the 16-oz ribeye, medium rare with corn and green beans as his sides. His steak was cooked perfect and he ate all of it!! Plus he loved the buttered rolls (not pictured) - which was the reason why he wanted to go here. All the food was hot, cooked perfectly and came out quickly. Our waiter was AMAZING. Wish I got his name. But he took good care of us and I left him a tip to reflect that. My only complaints...it can get loud in there (I am old lol) and the table was way too small for all that food! But not really complaints. I would go back any day, any week. Definitely recommend!!

It's been a while since we had been here but really wanted a good steak. I got a 14oz rib eye and wife a 10oz rib eye. I got fries and she got baked potato and we each had salad, mine with thousand island which was thick and tasted freshly made. The bread is still buttery and warm. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Very busy, great service, still very loud with the country music and patrons having a great time. I do miss the peanut room, opening the bag on your table just not the same. Solid 4.5 overall.

We were in town to do some shopping - stopped in for a late lunch. As expected, everything was on point. They were starting to get busy, when we arrived. We were taken to a table quickly - our server - RAVEN, was right there to take our drink order. Took our appetizer order and we had them promptly. The Deep Fried Pickles are a hit (we have had them in the past but we have not been to the restaurant in a while - we live 45 minutes away from this location and 30 minutes south of another). Raven took our food order and it arrived perfectly cooked. She checked on us enough to be helpful but not annoying. We will be back for sure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was Hustling when we left.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Glad we got there when we did. Good Job!

Came here before the dinner rush. The business is in the parking lot of a shopping center so there's plenty of parking. We were seated right away which is a surprise since there is usually a line all the way outside. The staff was very friendly and prompt. Our food came out fast. Good flavor. Not the best steaks. However for the price it's definitely worth it. Comes with free peanuts, bread and their delicious butter. Bread was fresh. The peanuts are no longer thrown in the floor which is nice as it keeps the place clean. Worth coming if you're looking for some inexpensive steaks.

I've been coming to this location since they opened and have noticed a decline in food quality. I blamed the state of everything going on as I've had similar experiences elsewhere. My last trip though was hands down the best dining experience I've had at this location. I find the food is better if you go when they're not busy. Early dine is our go to and still a great value for what you get. If you haven't tried their loaded sweet potato, you're missing out! read more

Smelled like cigarettes at the host stand. We got there right at 3pm (opening) as a family of 5. They sat EVERYONE but us. We waited 20 minutes and finally spoke up to the host. Even when we asked what's going on, they gave us attitude. Bunch of degenerates working here and literally every person that walked into the restaurant smelled like crap/cigarettes. Skip this location and go to Turlock. My kids were getting hungry and it's frustrating to have watched my 9 year old son hold the door open for guests and do more than the lazy host. read more

Called in ahead of time and when I went inside to wait they said another ten minutes, 20 minutes passed and all of a sudden they didn't have me on file when they had checked me in 20 minutes ago. Once a great place, used to love eating here and picking up orders to take home, but now it's a place I will not return to I ordered a meal for my family me and my wife ordered the same steak and to come find out one steak was significantly smaller than the other , we ordered fries and they might've been running out they could've just gave me a substitute but instead gave me about eight french fries, I ordered a house salad all they came with was the lettuce should've came with egg and other items, my kids burgers were cold as if they had came out of the refrigerator, I ordered an iced tea but I guess they could only fill it 3/4 of the way because they couldn't give me a full cup of iced tea and also they overcook my medium rare steak that is out rages. read more

I ordered the smokehouse burger without lettuce,onion and mushrooms. The first time they brought the food there was lettuce and onion. I asked if it was possible to fix it. They said sure and took the burger. The second time the burger came back there was onion. Again I asked if they can remove it. The third time they brought the burger there was no onion and no lettuce, but there was mushrooms! By then, my table had finished eating and I was starving. I picked each mushroom off, and there was about 20 pieces of mushrooms in the burger. I got my fingers dirty and my burger was messed up from removing the mushrooms that were stuck on the cheese. The reason I didn't give this restaurant a 1 star was because our waitress was very nice. But for the future I would not come eat here again. I don't understand why the place is always packed and always so loud. read more

Have to admit that this is one of our go to places for ribs & steak. I was so excited when we arrived and I saw a beautiful bone in ribeye. Yes. I chose it for my meal, unfortunately it was over cooked. Med rare, closer on the rare came out medium well . What a wasted piece of steak. They made me another but it was that great of a cut. Tom the manager came over and was the nicest guy ever. He apologized and took care of us. I'm sure he will make sure that things doesn't happen again. Still love this place. read more

I've visited this location many, many times and have never left a review until now. The food is always great and the service just as good but I felt compelled this time because our server Gabby blew us away. She made sure there was never an empty glass, cleared our plates often and most importantly, made sure we never ran out of rolls, haha. Made reservations as soon as was able at opening. Checked in an hour early as we expected it to be busy. 3 hrs 20 min later still waiting told another 2 hour wait. Like what's a reservation for? Really? They honestly think it's ok to expect people to wait 5 hours plus after reservation time? Thanks for screwing up my Mothers Day! read more

(Just noticed i never posted my review!) we went in last night on Veterans Day, thought it would be very busy but the wait was not very long. When we got sat we had Derek as a server. We sat across from the bar in a booth, and was perfect. He is such a phenomenal server and didn't want to not leave a review for him and have your guests miss out on asking for him on their next visit and miss out on his exceptional customer service! He is so attentive, honestly we visit Texas road house as a family very often and he has by FAR been one of he best server at this location. (We did the early dinner today) 2/27/20 And had Sarah for our server! She is phenomenal! Her personality is outstanding. She's smiling all the time and even though we returned one of our steaks for being too salty, the customer service is so prompt. Sarah has that fixed right away, we love coming to Texas road house and I doubt we'll ever stop coming! The service is amazing here! Great job to the managment team because only great managers have happy employees and this location always seems to have the friendliest and most attentive and outgoing people working here! read more

The wait was 50min four groups were seated at the same size tables the staff was unapologetic and lied to us. Food product was discarded on the floor and it was very dirty with sticky tables our waiter was good and prompt food was average the men's bathroom was very dirty with toilet paper on the floor and pee puddled on the floor. Our family loves this restaurant. We have never had a bad experience there. The most recent came on New Year's Eve 2017. Again we were having a wonderful time, our waitress was amazing then I go and order the wrong prime rib. Not realizing what I had done the waitress brought our food to us, there was enough food there for 3 meals. After a short time the manager came by the table to check on us. Jokingly I asked him if he had ever ordered the wrong thing, he said he wondered if it was a mishap, so he offered to discount our ticket a little...the discount was fair for both the restaurant and for our family. I truly recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for a place with excellent food, A plus service and a management team that truly cares about their customers and their dining experience...please visit Texas Roadhouse in Modesto, CA. I just want to add, I would rate this higher but I can only rate 5 stars. We visited over Valentine's Day 2018, very busy, but again this staff managed by Tom Chandley was on top of everything. Our server Jacob constantly visited our table refilling our drinks and bread. Amy brought us our food and remembered us from our last visit, and was even able to say hi to Tom the mgr who also remembered us. In visiting with Tom we learned that Texas Roadhouse gets involved in their community and schools which put a smile on my wife's face. They do fundraisers and reading programs for the kids. There is no doubt this is the best restaurant in Modesto. You must stop there, throw some peanuts on the floor and enjoy the service! read more

Horrible management and customer service! RUINED my son's18th birthday! I did my due diligence and reviewed their website and then called at 3pm when they opened, to "get in line" as they don't take reservations and I had a party of 8 (originally a party of 10 when I called). I was told, by the manager, "no problem" that they had "lots of availability for that time". When our entire party arrived, we checked in. We didn't wait long, but we were then seated at 2 separate booths back to back. I explained that I reserved for a group of 8 and we were celebrating my son's 18 birthday, could we be seated together or across from each other so we could at least all see each other. The waitress got the manager, and I again explained the situation. The manager then told me that they could not accommodate a party of my size in that way. I told her that I called when they opened, spoke to the manager, and was told it would be "no problem". She then told me "most of our customers know" that they can't accommodate a party (suggesting I should have known this as a fact), and said that the best she could do was "comp a couple of appetizers" for us. WE WERE SEATED NEXT TO 2 FLAT TOP TABLES THAT EACH HELD 6 (12 TOTAL PEOPLE NEXT TO EACH OTHER) AND A PARTY OF 9 WAS SAT DIRECTLY BEHIND US! We had also been there previously with a party of 9 without any issue. We had 2 different servers that could not comprehend that we were all one party, though we explained it at every encounter, which was an issue all the way through, even when it was time for the bill. My son got to see his grandparents and great grandfather in the parking lot, and open his gifts there. Though I never caught her name as she never said it and had no name tag visible, I would like to thank the female manager working 11/3/21 at 6pm, for single handedly ensuring that none of us will ever return, and we will all make sure to encourage all friends and family to go anywhere else. read more

I have not been to the restaurant in years. My last impression was not good. I went today because I had family in town that wanted to eat with my mother. My last take out order years ago, they forgot to give me my sides. My bad that I didn't check before I left. This time around I check the take out order I had for dad. It was missing again, still. My order inside the restaurant was not correct but I was told it was. I do know my cuts of meat. We had to ask for our sides. Our server was ok. She could have come across more friendlier. Customer service was ok overall. Unless my family wants to try this place again in the future, I won't be returning. read more

My husband and I ordered lunch on October 27 for pickup. It was nice that they have designated areas for pick up service. They come to your car to take your order. We ordered two of the 1/2 slabs and our sides. All of the food was nice and hot. The ribs were outstanding and portions were very generous. This is really exacting place. I have never eaten such a good ribeye. I said just Omg after i got my frist bite. You're getting two side with your steak, but you dont need to eat them. They asked how I'd like the egg cooked and the burger cooked: I asked for medium for both. Given how dead the place was, it did take a minute to get my food. The burger was ok, not worth $21. The bun fell apart very quickly which is a bit of a cardinal sin in the burger game. The bacon on the burger was not bacon strips but a bit of bacon crumble. The patty was a bit overcooked so it was dry and it wasn't seasoned so it was bland. The egg was cooked perfectly, but the aioli and the egg yolk with a disintegrated bun made for a huge mess. The fries were interesting. The house seasoned fries are not salted. So the fries were almost sweet due to the spices, but no salt. And they do not have regular table ketchup or malt vinegar. I did ask for some ketchup and they brought me their house ketchup. While not like a classic ketchup, it was actually quite good. Oh, be aware. They will charge you a 4% fee when they bring you the check (what would have happened if I'd paid with cash?). I do not see anywhere on the menu where they say their is a payment fee so that is a pretty shady business practice. Overall: meh. I think for the price point the burger should have been great, but sadly I can't say it was great or even good. I'd likely not return.

There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.

I dined at Texas Roadhouse on 2/18 around 3pm, and the customer service I experienced was nothing short of excellent! From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, every staff member who assisted my table was amicable, attentive, and helpful. I regret not catching their names, but I wanted to express my appreciation for their outstanding service. Our first server, who was with us during the initial part of our meal, set a high standard for the rest of the visit. He was friendly and professional and went out of his way to ensure we had a delightful dining experience. Despite his shift ending, his replacement seamlessly picked up where he left off. Want to thank all the staff and management for the most memerable Veterans Day. As a Army veteran, this is the first time my wife and I had observed the most respectable estabishment towards military veterans. Not only was it very busy, the staff showed great enthusiansm to serve all those that came in. We loved the missing man's table as we entered to the trio horned band that played patriotic songs and military themes from all branches. But, we were most moved to tears when they played the Natonal Anthem and the staff stopped in place, faced the direction of the band and placed their hands over their hearts which caused nearly all in their seats to rise and do the same. This act gave me and other veterans that dined here more reseason to be thankful for the service we gave to our country. We ordered $205 worth of food, including ribs, chili, mashed potatoes, and those irresistible rolls. The food was ready right on time, hot, and packed with care. A huge shoutout to Travis, who helped us put the order together. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had exactly what we needed. Thanks to him, everything went smoothly from start to finish. The ribs? Fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. One of us ordered the killer rib appetizer and we were informed AFTER the fact that they were currently out of ribs. Both steaks were cooked horribly. One was super pink and almost walking it was so undercooked the other piece of steak was full of fat. The appetizer plate was crappy. The potato skins looked like they got run over, the mozarella twists looked like they were barely cooked...The wait staff and management need a complete overhaul. Worst prime rib ever, full of fat and tasteless, that cook is a misfortune for the business, my kids and my wife orders were not served as they ask and the waitresses never show up again to correct them, obviously she hate her job and anyone who is not as white as she is; they should put a sign outside the door saying: "ONLY WHITES WILL BE WELL SERVED " so everybody know what to expect if you are not white. I must say that there's non-whites working there but they are too busy watching the clock just waiting the time to get out of there. This is probably my favorite steakhouse in town. If you're going to splurge, this is the place to do it. The service is prompt but gruff, thought I'd like to argue that's part of the rustic steakhouse feel. We were so greatful to see Texas roadhouse in modesto open with Cafe seating in the back lot. We called ahead and still ended up waiting almost an hour. Sad to say even with seating less than inside the restaurant, service and the food was not up to expectations. Ordered a ribeye medium. Came well done. Sent it back and waited 20 minutes for another. My family and I came here yesterday. We come often and it's always good but last night my mom got chicken fried steak and it was awful! We sent it back. The manager, Luke, was awesome! He removed it from our tab, which we assumed would happen, but he gave us a certificate for a free meal to come back another day as well. Just thought it was really good customer service. And if that isn't enough, they have an entire covered seating area directly next to the building. -Offerings: As for food offerings, they have a good amount. They have their standard cheeseburgers that come standard as a single to a triple. Then they have their special burger/sandwiches. For example they have a cheeseburger that also comes with a fried chicken patty. -Prices: Seeing the price of the signature burgers, and not even talking about the combo prices, I was already a bit off put. That pushed me to end up ordering a double cheeseburger (add bacon) combo which after tax, tip and credit card fee (unmentioned) wound up to be $30.49. $30+ for a single combo at a fast casual restaurant is absolutely absurd to me under MOST circumstances. I just had this feeling I was in for a huge disappointment. These are like big city fancy burger restaurants prices. -Food: While they weren't slow, the food definitely did not come out fast. I clarified that the person wouldn't accept call in orders and they told me they don't have the ability to do that(despite it saying on yelp that you can call to order). I'm not sure if the phone lines have been outsourced or something else, but any place that makes it this hard for me to be a customer has lost me as one. It's unfortunate as this used to be one of Turlock's gems for both food and service.
