    Entrance to Texas Roadhouse

We are joined by friends, they love Texas Roadhouse as much as we do. Zack is our server, he is great. Good sense of humor. and definitely patient I ordered a mango margarita Great! I ordered shrimp for my appetizer, it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and with flavor. For entree of course at Texas steakhouse I ordered the sirloin medium rare (perfect with a baked potato and the house salad. Everything was perfect. I ate so much. I couldn't go for desert. I enjoy the atmosphere. As everyone is enjoying themselves.

Went here 2 weeks ago. Food/Drink: Really well cooked steak. I asked for medium rare and it came out juicy, reddish pink, and tasty. Cesar salad came out before the meal, nice starter. Appetizers: I didn't partake today but plenty of options. Bread: Those buttered rolls, signature and irresistible. Dinning Area: Very Large size, open concept. Plenty of seating! Prices: Relatively inexpensive but it is a steak house. 12 oz New York Strip nice cut almost no fat, Cesar salad, and green beans, with an iced tea. $28 Parking: Large wrap around just off the main road. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and large, well stocked. Atmosphere: Your typical country life, TV on, sports playing, steak house. Music (country) going everyone chatting and vibing having a good time. Staff/Attendants: Server was awesome, really nice and super attentive. Drink was always filled, good conversations, food was out very quickly, order was taken maybe 5 minutes after I got in. Awesome experience! 10/10

I always enjoy myself when I visit Texas Roadhouse. Hubby and I, wanted to go for a little drive and ended up here . It was BUSY when we arrived, but the traffic moved quickly. Of course once we were seated , we got to enjoy their addicting bread with Cinnamon butter. We then ordered a few things . Mini sliders, their fried onion, burger, steak, sides and drinks. Everything was fresh and tasty . Like most Texas Roadhouse chains it's BIG, with lots of seating. Customer service 10/10. Our waitress was very fast, kind and attentive. I will definitely visit again .

Very lively music and decor to make it feel cozy. The hosts were making conversation making us feel welcomed, it's rare that happens so we were appreciative of that. Nicole was on top of everything to make sure we got everything in a timely matter. The food was great, the steaks were well seasoned and cooked to our liking. The best experience at a Texas Roadhouse we received that night.

A nice Friday night drink to begin the weekend

Put ourselves on the waitlist for a busy weekend dinner and headed over to Texas Roadhouse. By the time we arrived and checked in we only waited 10-15 minutes, despite being told it was a 35 minute wait. We let the staff know that we are gluten free and requested peanuts in place of their bread. We we then chose our own steaks from the case. We both chose ribeyes, cooked medium rare. My husband ordered a margarita and I opted for a porch rocker. Our side salads came quickly. I modified mine to no croutons and no egg (I'm not a fan of hard boiled egg, this wasn't a restriction request). I love their salads and dressings and gobbled mine up pretty quickly. Our steaks arrived soon after and were cooked and seasoned perfectly. I can never finish my steak, so I took a little more than half home to eat for lunch or dinner the next day. Texas Roadhouse gives a barn after a cattle drive vibe. Many Americana artifacts displayed. Not much difference from other locations. We enjoy it and will be back.

Welcome to Texas Roadhouse for me, and it sure was a long wait. We thankfully came at a time when we didn't have to wait long at all, only a couple of minutes. It didn't look that busy at all since it was a Sunday an hour or so after 12, which kind of makes sense with church going on, etc. Once we seat, within a couple of minutes, we were handed bread which was pretty tasty, and addicting I'd have to say, and yes, we had another round. Our waitress did a wonderful job taking care of us, checking in, and answering any questions that we had. The menu is quite large, and a lot to offer which will defiantly require many trips in the near future. I opted for the Smokehouse Burger which comes with steak fries, making it quite tasty and very filling. The burger I ordered was cooked medium rare and was tasty for the most part but messy at the same time. Gotta love it because that's the fun of it. The deserts will be coming soon for sure when the time allows it, and it will. I enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere all around, with it looking tidy and well-decorated. They do a wonderful job keeping it clean and it's something to be proud of. I recommend making reservations at dinner time on Thursdays - Sundays, and also holidays because it will be packed with a lot of waiting. I enjoy it, and anyone else will too.

Great experience. Boneless wings were crispy and plentiful, blue cheese was tasty. Beer came ice cold. Bartender had the personality of a shellfish, but whatever I didn't wait for anything. Overall a good time. *con? Just one. I had a friend meeting me and the bartender wouldn't leave me with a beer for him until he showed up. I took a star for that. Things like these are why I avoid chain food bars. There's always some sort of stupid caveat that impedes my enjoyment.

Although Poughkeepsie has a decent variety of excellent restaurant options, there aren't a lot of upscale places to select from. We opted to book reservations for Brasserie 292 for a Saturday night. When we arrived, we were nearing the end of the dinner rush. We were sat right away, unfortunately it wasn't all too romantic being sat in the middle of the restaurant but understandably the restaurant is on the smaller side. The waiter was attentive, and addressed any of our questions about the menu, even hunting down the bottle of pinot noir we ordered. We opted to start off our night by splitting a half-dozen oysters which came with their in-house hot sauce, and an order of pouple, which was cooked to perfection. For our entrees we selected the red wine braised lamb shank and the dry aged prime NY steak. Since sides for both entrees were not mentioned on the menu, we also ordered sides - wild mushrooms, brussels sprouts and crispy smoked peewee potatoes. Overall the food was excellent and I'm still dreaming about the mushrooms. If we lived locally, would we go back, maybe but overall we had a great experience. Since this was an upscale restaurant, I opted to not photograph our meals and enjoyed being present in the moment.

But I'm giving 4 stars because what I DID have was really good! I don't see it on the online menu so it may have been a special -- but they did a mushroom/vegetable risotto, which was flavorful and the perfect size to not overwhelm. If I can find out whether this is part of the regular menu, I'll return just for that! Service was great -- we were going to an event at the convention center, and could walk from there. So if you're going to something at the convention center and want a nice meal (especially date night) ahead of time, I'd suggest checking this place out.

Our friendly server Rob was extremely attentive and provided descriptions on the various entrees. I started with a light, delicious cherry Bellini. Not too sweet, a beautiful color of pink bubbly goodness! Just what the doctor ordered! Husband had a great local IPA out of Brooklyn. When he couldn't decide, he was offered a samples to try. My entree was the best Pasta Bolognese I've had in a very long time! I'm an Italian and it transcended me back to childhood in my mother's kitchen! The rich abundant meat flavor blended perfectly with the spiced tomato sauce! It was a truly delicious dish ladled over the cooked just right al dente pasta! Deliciousness at 100% ! I highly recommend it! Husband had the huge, thick cut , bone in pork chop! Unbelievable flavor! The glaze was deliciously savory with hidden tastes of sweet Asian over perfectly charred cut up sweet potatoes and sticky rice on the side. Both our dinners portions were very large offering plenty for another meal at home. This was our fourth visit to the restaurant . Next time we are traveling up here to Poughkeepsie for work from Boston area we will certainly return! Each visit gets better and better! Worth it? Mostly, yes! Food: 4/5 We tried a little bit of everything, the Seared chicken breast - Hands down my favorite dish of the night. Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and flavorful. Followed by the Bacon, egg, and homemade biscuit - A close second! The biscuit was dense and satisfying, and it had a really unique pesto-like sauce on top that made it memorable. Some other shout outs: 1) Orecchiette veggie pasta - Orecchiette is hard to find on menus, so I was delighted to see it here. It was a nice light option among our heavier dishes. 2) Jerk ribs - OK, so this is where my expectations and reality didn't fully align. They were well-cooked, but I'm a saucy girl, and these weren't as slathered or juicy as I'd hoped. That said, the rest of my table really enjoyed them. Also, that hibiscus lemonade? Chef's kiss. Refreshing and flavorful, and exactly the kind of detail that makes a place stand out to me. Service: 4/5 Now, here's where I was really surprised: one person was running the whole show. The head chef was managing the kitchen and the front of house--no servers, no extra help. Just him. For the amount of work that entails, he crushed it. Was it a bit slower than a staffed restaurant? Of course. But honestly, it gave the whole experience a humble, homegrown vibe that I appreciated. Also, it meant a lot to support a Black-owned restaurant and actually connect with the person behind the food. Final Thoughts: While we came for dinner, I could tell from the menu (and the vibe) that this place is really known for brunch. I'm genuinely curious to come back during brunch hours to see how the energy--and menu--might shift. Either way, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a spot with heart, flavor, and soul.

I absolutely love Mexican food and, being…read morenew to the area, was excited to see this business with an immaculate reputation on Yelp. I did come at an in-between time (around 3pm), so it's possible that this was a one-off, but it was so meh that I'm not sure I'll be back to give it another shot (if I do, I'll come right at lunch or dinner time). The good: the mole was fantastic! Even with a mediocre meal, this stood out as amazing. The portions were generous. I thought at one point the woman asked if I wanted chicken or beef enchiladas, and having never had beef enchiladas I said "beef please." It turns out, I received chicken enchiladas with a portion of skirt steak on top (see photo). Again, very generous. The decor was lively. The misses: The beans were quite bland, to the point where I was surprised...it's such a foundational element of Mexican cuisine, but they needed more spices / a touch more salt. Also, my wife ordered the veggie wrap and it was bland. It contained lots of different vegetables, but somehow they weren't seasoned. I know vegetarian burritos aren't all the craze, but when I took a bite of it, I agreed...it was just vegetables, no seasoning at all. Nice to have it on the menu for folks like my wife, but why not season them first? Maybe it was an oversight. The horchata was different from what I've had in the past...not bad, but not something I would recommend either. It was watery, lacked any cinnamon flavor, and had ground almond on top, which was interesting (maybe this is regional?). Without the dynamite mole and the generous portions, this would be a 2 star review, but I can't, in good conscience, give less than 3 stars with mole like that. But the beans...womp womp.
