I'm a huge LongHorn Steakhouse fan, and this location is no exception. It's consistently good each time we've stopped, and their Texas Tonion and Flo's Filet are my go-to. Our server, I believe her name was Kaitlin, was so nice and took great care of us. Even though they were clearly very busy, they managed to get us in in about 15 minutes and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My husband got a coupon on his phone to get a buy one/get one meal at any Longhorn Steak house. We went to this restaruant in Newburgh on 3/4/2026 and before we sat down we asked if they honored this coupon. Nobody was sure and called the Managerover. Manager came up with some lame excuse that they don't honor any coupons that comes across the internet. Meanwhile two years ago my husband got coupon on his phone for a free appretizer and they honored it who is lying. Me and my Husband walked out disgusied and went to the Kitchen in Resort World Hudson Valley and got a 1o dollar coupon off for food and had a great meal. The ranch style decor is nostalgic and gives it a nice family feel. Our waitress Julieann was really attentive and kind and honestly had an urgent ease to her. I felt really taken care of by her and she even gave us bread Togo. To drink my friend got the margarita and I got the jack and coke both pretty decent and under $6. On to the main even the food. I started with the lobster and shrimp soup, honestly it was a surprise how delicious and hardy but not overly heavy it was. For dinner we both got a Caesar salad with our steaks. I had gotten the T bone with the loaded baked potato and it was supposed to be Parmesan crusted but I guess they forgot , my steak was good but it was cumin forward which was strange because I was expecting a caramelized Parmesan flavor still good and honestly I hate cumin but it was alright this time and my partner got the longhorn porterhouse, but it looked honestly identical to the T-bone and we were both convinced it was the same cut. First visit ever to a LongHorn Steakhouse and I was most pleasantly satisfied. Most pleasantly. Warm toned shades of browns booths and steer themed decor greeted us. The vibe akin to Applebees/Outback Steakhouse. The menu isn't extensive but this ain't a diner. The range of food is enough for pescatarians and vegetarians to enjoy. Our salads, shrimp and lobster bisque, rib eye steak, baked potato, asparagus, mushrooms, raspberry lemonade and the house bread was fantastic. Everything was delicious. Nothing over/under cooked/salted/seasoned. I wanted to save room for dessert but was stuffed. My husband and I stopped this evening for dinner. Steak was on my mind. I ordered New York strip. The flavor was amazing and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had shrimp and chicken. Went to a Longhorn's in Tennessee because I was there for work and was hungry. Solid experience. Came home and tried the one in Newburgh now that Schlessinger's closed and it was kinda meh. Reasonable prices, large dessert portions Not cool: entree comes with only 1 accompaniment. Should be a starch and a veg but you only get 1. I had the bash and the portion was very small. Went here for our ten year anniversary since we celebrated our 1 year anniversary at outback and wanted to upgrade. Was pretty disappointed. They have the same stuff as outback but the items cost a lot more. Because of this i expected the food to taste better but honestly, the food at outback tastes a lot better. For appetizers we got the spicy chicken bites and the white cheddar stuffed mushrooms. Both appetizers were really good but i loved the chicken bites and the sauce they came with for dipping. For dinner i got the loaded potato soup and the new york strip with a side of the steakhouse mac and cheese. At outback i get the victorias filet with the same sides. The steaks were similar prices but the outback one tastes much better. Outbacks steaks come with 2 sides while at longhorn you only get one so i paid extra for a second. The potato soup and mac also were lacking in flavor in comparison. In the future id rather just go to outback for a better tasting meal for cheaper. read more

I find myself in the area occasionally and thought this would be a nice place to dine with my significant other. Unfortunately I was mistaken. Let's discuss the pros and cons: Pros: -close and easy to find from the Thruway and route 84 -has a Starbucks next to it for coffee and a five guys in the strip mall if you want to have a reasonably priced meal consisting of meat -we both ordered the sirloin and it was cooked as we requested (rare) -wait on a Friday night was about 10-15 minutes, not too awful considering the dearth of chains or "steakhouses" in the immediate vicinity -you do get plenty of food between the salad, sides and entree -unlike other reviewers, I felt the parking was fine for a Friday night Cons: -sloppy, rushed service. server was nice but overlooked things like asking if ketchup was wanted for fries. We were also expected to know our order within 3 minutes of sitting down. More importantly, our waters were never once refilled and no refills on bread were offered. -very loud and unnecessarily packed in seating arrangements. We were sat on a corner and I felt like I had to be on guard at all times due to the amount of cross traffic. It was like eating in the middle of grand central. -the prices are ridiculous for most items, definitely not a "value for the money" eatery. -the men's bathrooms were FILTHY. seriously, I've used facilities off the Thruway, the dirty south and even the NJ Turnpike that were cleaner (see photos). -on a warm muggy night, it was cooler outside than in here. I don't think they have a functional cooling system. All in all, the place has 3 star potential if they can offer cleaner, more comfortable facilities and a better value for the money. "Bitten twice, shame on me..." Been to this location a few rimes. Each time the experience gets worse. I have no idea who they are hiring... but it's causing them this one bad review. Last time I dined inside they forgot my table. Our food was given to another table who ordered the exact same order but came in after us. We ended up leaving, and they took our appetizer off the bill at least. But really low quality service. And tonight I ordered to go. Sides and condiments missing, I didn't even bother going back because I was in a hurry to be somewhere important. Plus the food I did receive was soggy. Poor service, poor packaging, & poor quality. When we arrived we was greeted by our host Amy V. , who was exceptionally friendly and personable, she was very attentive and got all of our orders out quickly and correctly. To start I ordered a drink called tito's texas tea, unfortunately it was more sweet than strong (didnt finish it) I ordered the the filet med-well with the couliflower Au- groton and mash. The steak was super tender and cooked at the right temperature. The sides were flavorful and the mash i could tell wasn't cooked out the box, I picked on the broccoli my husband ordered and it was so good it complimented the sides (you would think broccoli is just broccoli but it was cooked and seasoned right) My husband ordered the New York strip which was also tasteful and his fries although a little salty was also good. I went back and forth on 3 or 4 stars for a while. The service was fantastic tonight (which is not consistent and is hit or miss). The reason I settled on 3 is because my steak was jacked. I mean, I like my steaks more rare than medium but I asked for medium rare because I dont like RARE. This steak was almost like it had been seared.....only. it was purple inside. Then top it off it just seemed like it lacked any real taste. I had to add salt and pepper to it and I'm not a big salter. I'm not expecting Ruth's Chris or anything but they do have steakhouse in the name. Their ceasar side salad and their fried pickles were amazing tho! Yum! I mean, the fried pickles are REALLY good. Must try. My guess is that they just missed it tonight on the steak so I hate that. I showed up on a busy Saturday night, and decided to sit at the bar. I asked the bartender about the menu and landed on the rib eye with the $10 lobster tail. I also upgraded my side to asparagus. I was quickly served a beer and was very satisfied with the ambiance and noise levels. It is what you would expect on a Saturday night. My simple house salad came out quick in a chilled dish and was what I was expecting. I looked for wilted lettuce based on a previous review and could not find any. My steak and lobster showed up and they looked fantastic. The first bite was rich and flavorful with a perfect amount of seasoning/salt. For a ribeye there was not a lot of fat. The lobster tail was really nice but there was not enough of it. For $10 I should have known. I was still super happy with it and metered it out on my surf and turf safari. The presentation was great-see pics. The asparagus was seasoned and grilled just right. I really liked the steak and lobster, I thought it was a decent value, the steak was very large. I would have gone 5 star if the steak was amazing and I was wowed by something, I thought the experience was great if I could have 4.5 stars I would have. read more
