We love steak and we love Texas! I'm struggling with what went wrong tonight at Texas Roadhouse. We've been to many other locations and usually have enjoyed ourselves but not tonight. :( I live in Rockwall and when this place opened up- there was a lot of great feedback. YES! Finally! We called ahead (love this feature) and were told an hour - we arrived 30 minutes in and then still had to wait 45 minutes. :( It's ok- they're busy so I put that behind us and ordered some yummy food. The salads came but still no drinks... so we flagged our wait person down. Someone picked up our salads and our wait person came by & actually wanted to know if we wanted drinks to go- we hadn't even been served dinner. Every single person was in a great mood and nice; certainly 5 stars for that! In the end their friendliness just did not help us enjoy our time at Texas Roadhouse. read more

First I was told that the food would be ready at 7:45. It was not. Wait a whole hour. Got the food it was cold and the forgot my Mac n cheese. I've been to this location twice now, the food is really good, always cooked to what we like. Hubby had a 16oz ribeye medium rare ( cooked perfectly) I had steak kabobs (medium) also perfect. Green beans were awesome veggies same, salads same. Food was just great but the star is food plus service, our waitress Jennah ( had to look at receipt to spell right) was so attentive and worth every penny she makes plus probably 1000 more. I never felt like she was hovering, but always there when needed. Texas Road House if you keep up with the top notch service and great food than we'll happily drive to Rockwall to have great meals with you!! read more

This is literally the worst location of this restaurant. I ordered a dozen rolls and a kids steak meal to go and the person who took my order said 15-20 min. It was a whole 40 min waiting for a to go kids meal bruh. The kid at the front for to go orders was so smug and mannerless, everyone was standing around collecting dust, looking confused as ever. Kid at the front wouldn't let me finish talking cut me off mid sentence. His name was Hasal or something. When I finally got the meal I looked through the bag to make sure everything was there. They missed A1 sauce so I had to ask for some, as that kid was handing me the sauce is was OOZING out the sides dripping and he was wiping it with his fingers covered in it as he was giving it to me! Like ew ! Hospitality, cleanliness where ?? So I was like are you fr giving me that while it's dripping ?? So he goes off and fetches another but the MANAGER brought me out another one. When I got home it wasn't even A1 sauce ! It was their house sauce and it tasted very questionable...asked for a medium well steak too they gave me a charred flab of meat. AND THEY FORGOT MY WATER LIKE LMFAO. That's just such a chaotic work routine idk how they stay afloat tbh, it's probs the rolls but like. Perhaps it's growing pains but this roadhouse is chaos. Came with nine guests. Service is slow, sloppy and disorganized. Waitress seems poorly trained, doesn't know the options. Third time getting food from there and I have to say I'm very happy I was able to find a spot at the bar to have dinner that was nice especially when they were super packed the bartenders and service staff were awesome! I have not had a bad experience yet and I can't wait for my husband to get home so I can take him there we have been going to road houses all over the country we choose this particular chain because it's the most consistent we have found and 9 out of 10 times we have an excellent meal and great service. I want to give kudos to all of you at the Rockwall location, I think you're handling things quite well. This place is a whole lot of fun, good country music and dancing waiters. Plus, the food is really good and not outlandishly expensive for a good steak dinner.The baked potatoes are so good, with course salt on the skin before baking. Highly recommended. read more

Picking a place to celebrate our anniversary, we chose Texas Roadhouse because my husband wanted steak and I salmon. It was before 4:30 Friday when we arrived hoping to beat the Friday night rush. To our shock, the parking lot was very full! The hostess said this was normal most nights! Regardless, we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was attentive and efficient. The onion blossom was delicious. The bread was perfect. The meal came in a timely manner and every bite delicious from the salmon, to the sweet potato and the well-seasoned green beans. The owner I noticed was visiting every table to insure customer satisfaction. We will be back. There were many other intriguing items I would like to try. read more

Simply amazing. Very busy on Saturday afternoon but used the Waitlist option on the TxR app and got seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Had the Texas Blossom, Caesar salad, 10oz Ft Worth Ribeye that just melt in your mouth, loaded baked potato. And don't forget the rolls. Everything was awesome - food, staff, killer margaritas. We dine at Texas Roadhouse in Rockwall often, sometimes once or twice a week. We love the food. We always order our favorite meal. The best thing we love about this Roadhouse is our server, Stephanie. She is always courteous and attentive. She knows our orders and my husband's special diet. Our party of 7 was seated in one of the elongated booths, with a chair on the end, but it worked out ok. We had a blooming onion within 10 minutes of ordering and our drinks shortly after. The waitress was great, the food was great, but our steaks we ordered were on the more rare side; we ordered medium and the came out medium-rare. It wasn't a problem, they were great! Overall, it was a great experience. We will definitely go back, but probably on a less busy night or time. It was very crowded at the front near the check-in counter, and the people at the first few tables were literally eating with people standing right next to their table. I've worked here for a long time as a server (almost 5 years) and one thing I can say about us is we try our best with what we are given! Sometimes you people come in looking for miracles and we are just human! Maybe instead of being so crucial take responsibility for your experience! Sometimes you people are rude and treat us beneath you. How would some of you feel? And then half the time you get great service and dont tip! We live off our tips! 20% isn't hard especially in Rockwall yet you guys have tight pockets and wanna complain! We sometimes have to pay for you to eat with us because you dont tip! You want the best service ever then you start the trend by tipping better and treating your server and restaurant staff with respect!!! Fyi for you that yell at our hostess THEY ARE CHILDREN. This place really sucks, over priced gmo food, the chicken breast was a formed cutlet, yuck !!! The place has a great vibe but it was very frustrating just to get seated. We had a group of 8 so the online system said we had to call. I tried calling an hour and a half early to get on the waitlist. It took 30 minutes just to get someone on the phone. They said to arrive at 7pm but we arrived at 630 thinking it would be better to arrive early. We stood in the cold for an hour and a half watching people in large groups go in before us that arrived after us. The server did not return for refills on drinks, gave our party of 8 one basket of bread and 1 butter, and then our steaks arrived overcooked. We had to ask the bussers to get our server a few times. Used to be a wonderful family place to go. We go there now for the rolls only. Rolls were undercooked. The bread didn't even rise. Ordered appetizer that looked like it was just thrown together. Hated the chicken tenders, they were soggy. How do you mess up chicken tenders? Got salad to make up for the lack of chicken tenders. Salad was old, brown lettuce that was covered in extra dressing to hide it. Shrimp came out undercooked and cold. Server was nice, but seemed annoyed when we asked for our sides (she forgot them twice). Very little value for a $96 dinner. Totally disappointed. Left hungry. read more

Four stars for service. They don't take reservations, but do accept "call ahead". They quoted 45 minutes on a Friday night, and they were spot on. Waiter was attentive, but couldn't grasp the fact that I wanted my baked potato dry. He kept asking if I wanted cheese. Three times. Food was good, not great. Filet was actually quite good, but side options were boring. My martini was well made, and drink prices are reasonable. Here's the down side. What's with the complimentary unshelled peanuts you can grab at the front door and eat? Then you shell them and drop your shells on the floor! Gross! This isn't a ballgame. It cheapens the place tremendously, and it's disgusting. I can also do without the staff arbitrarily line dancing in the aisles. Its distracting. And annoying. read more

Went to eat yesterday. Was super disappointed. We had a party of 8. It was almost 100 degrees outside. There was no waiting area except outside and it was full. Was told it was about a 20 minute wait. Had to STAND and wait inside. Then when the time was up they said they had a table. We walked across the floor and they were trying to put all 8 of us in a BOOTH. We have several large people in our party and there was no way we were going to fit in that booth. We told them that so they ended up putting us in a large table with high chairs and with my bad hip, I have difficulty getting into high chairs but this was all they had. The food was very good. We ordered 3 drinks from the bar and 2 were wrong. We sent one back and while waiting we watched the bartender serve others coming up to the bar before correcting the drink we ordered. There was only one bartender when it appeared they needed more. They are not able to accommodate large parties and don't seem to be overly concerned with the comfort of their elderly patrons. read more

I usually love this place, but I am very dissatisfied with my most recent visit. They took a while to bring our drinks and food and the place wasn't even busy (which they usually are). Then when we finally got our food, they completely over cooked my rare steak (no big deal, we all make mistakes), but then they didn't even give a discount. I had to wait 10-15 minutes while watching everyone else eat so by the time I got my food, they were done. I am very big customer service and I think they should have made things right with a discount or taking my meal off. read more
