The only reason this isn't getting one star is because our waitress (Kerstin/Kirsten i think) was so sweet and awesome. She got 20%. I have worked at the Texas roadhouse in irving for a year, and I've been eating at numerous Texas roadhouses for a really long time now. I've always enjoyed the food and had a good time there. Today, here in rockwall, I couldn't get out the door before running to the bathroom to vomit. Nothing was good from the start, even the margaritas that we got for $5 on happy hour. Like I said, I've worked at a Texas Roadhouse so I know what the staff and managers are supposed to do for each table. I was trying to wait for a manager to come to our table but by the time we paid out, I felt so horrible I had to leave. Several managers walked past our table without stopping to touch it. I'm so understanding when it comes to the restaurant industry, but this was so unacceptable. I don't think I've ever had food poisoning in my life before today. Very very poor experience. My boyfriend and I got our regular meals. I had the Herb crusted chicken, and he had a 10oz Ribeye. He ordered his steak medium rare, and honestly that steak was blue rare. I've never seen him not clean off his plate and he barely touched that steak. I didn't start feeling sick until I started eating that chicken. It never tasted undercooked, but it also could just had been bad. Really just a bad experience for both of us all the way around. We love Texas Roadhouse but unfortunately had a terrible experience at this location. We just had dinner and the bartenders did a below average job and tried to slip in additional drinks on our tab. Once we brought it to their attention they became defensive and became smart asses. Does anyone know how to cook a medium steak anymore? Oh well on to the next spot. read more

Never had a bad meal. Luke the manager is great and we always have good service. As to wearing the mask issue- it's not illegal. They have the right to refuse service. No shoes, no shirt. Tonight's visit to Texas Roadhouse was a big disappointment. The first two weeks of this new Rockwall location was great. We have been back three times and each time our steaks have not been cooked right or the rib eyes are so fatty you can't eat them. The service is always amazing that's why I'm giving it to Stars. Something must be done about the cooks in the kitchen and getting the steaks right otherwise this place will not do well. We love the one in Garland the steaks are always cooked great. A lot of playing around in the back was going on as I could see into the kitchen. The manager came by right after we were served our steaks, she returned the steaks and my husband's second steak was still way over cooked and very fatty so he left the restaurant without eating anything. I never like to complain or return food but this was just not good. read more

So we came here for my sons 10yr old birthday. It's a newly built restaurant in our area (6mos) so we knew we would have to wait a bit. We showed up right before 6pm and were told 1 and 1/2 wait time for a five top table. So we grabbed a seat at the bar and have been sitting here for over two hours. We have watched the entire bar recycle twice over and have watched parties larger than us be seated. We have checked on our table twice and we keep getting projections of 20 min, then 15 min, then "we are trying really hard." I'm not sure what that even means. It's going on 8 pm and I just feel like 2hrs is a little ridiculous for four adults and a child to be waiting. I mean...at this point I am soooo hoping the food is worth it. If my son hadn't asked for steak for his birthday dinner I'd have gone elsewhere. read more

Nothing is more synonymous with Steak than...Red Wine. How it is possible that a Steakhouse could ever be out of it is still hard for me to process. This review easily could have been the direction of a 4 based on service and moderately priced food at decent quality, but ordering steaks and not having wine with it just simply ruins the meal. 5/5/23 I spoke to Brianna at 4 pm at Rockwall Texas Roadhouse to be placed on wait list for a 60th birthday party of 13 arriving at 6 pm in which formal invitations had been sent out. Because of the extended wait time 4 people in our group decided to leave. Large and small groups that had been waiting with us were seated. Additional people in large groups that had not been waiting came in and were seated prior to our group. I complained to the Hostess twice and finally spoke with a manager named Dave and he had us seated within 15 minutes of that conversation but at that point no other parties were waiting to be seated. We were seated at 6:40 pm after waiting 40 minutes even though I called to be wait listed. No one ever indicated the party was too large to accommodate until I spoke with Dave, the manager on duty. That detail should have been mentioned when I called to be placed on the wait list. Roadhouse should not accept wait listers if they cannot accommodate or if their seating capacity has been met. read more

Wow! Where can I start first off food is amazing, however service is slow and sucks! Don't pick your steak, takes them forever. Waitress took a long time to come, she had a huge table to weight on next to me and my daughter. She did everything to weight on the bigger table and forgot all about us. We decided to try the Texas Roadhouse, but I was not impressed. Unfortunately it started with a mix up with our salads. How do you do that? Cactus blossom was very good but my steak was literally raw. I like it medium/rare but mine was very under cooked. Also, it didn't have any flavor and it was a filet. Baked potato was good . Green beans were very seasoned but Waaay too salty and seemed to have a lot of bacon grease? My daughter liked her mashed potatoes but her steak was also under cooked and no seasoning. There was A LOT of employees walking around and talking to everyone, maybe they need to be helping out in the kitchen ! Maybe I'll try a burger next time, not sure. read more

We visited this new place in Rockwall. We have been craving their rolls, which are incredible! There was a long wait to be seated so we sat at the bar. Mandy was our bartender and she was awesome! The manager even came over and greeted us and actually brought us more rolls! The rib eye came out quickly and was cooked exactly as we ordered it and the corn and mashed potatoes were also delicious. We have been to many Texas Roadhouse locations, but this one was by far the best in terms of service and quality of food. We LOVED the line dancing! I highly recommend this location!! We had a great experience. It as crowded to the gills but the wait was not very long. The serves were more than helpful. Out drinks never dried up. Our food came surprisingly fast. This location has been one of our favorites since it's opened. Tonight we went and had my parents come along. Normally, we have no problems. My fathers steak was over cooked, and they forgot his shrimp completely. He was not very happy, and expressed that to the server. However, the team and manager were very attentive, and made sure he was well taken care of by replacing his meal. They did it quickly and apologetically. Been to this location 3 times. Previous 2 times were good. This current trip was disappointing, wife's gravy for her chicken fried steak had a funny taste. I ordered the 24oz ribeye medium well, it came out looking good but it was on the medium rare side, had them throw it back on and it came back burnt on outside and well done, only thing that was great was the service. Our waiter was great. We will give it another chance before we put it on our do not eat list. Thank you wait staff. read more

Family Lunch on Saturday 4th. The server was great, however when the steaks came out they were not warm at all and the grilled onions and mushrooms were cold. A very nice floor manager came to the table and removed the steaks, took them back to the kitchen and re-grilled them. I wouldn't normally have a issues with this but now the steaks were overcooked to our liking. We will be back, just hope they improve the timing of the food being delivered to the table. read more

Nothing like going here after a great church service. Called ahead, and did not have to wait long to be seated. Our server was Michelle-The Bartender. Michelle has to be one of the best servers that my wife and I have had the pleasure to meet. Michelle was very attentive to our needs, and always made sure that everything was alright with us. One of the managers stopped by to ask us how we were doing. We spoke very highly of Michelle to her, which the manager was pleased to hear.
