This is a chain restaurant from Florida and it was my first time trying! We were really hungry after shopping at the San Marcos premium outlets and someone suggested here because they had lunch specials. I got the outback burger. Though it was a decent size, I only ate half because it was pretty salty. Combined with the sourness of pickles, and sweetness of ketchup, it was just an unappetizing mix (and I usually do eat burgers with ketchup and pickles). The steak with mashed potatoes is so small. It should not be a dish for adults. Maybe it would have been better to price it higher for a bigger portion. Pasta is ok. Oily.

We never leave room for dessert but looks yummy lol

We were in the area doing some shopping and wanted some steak and lobster. Service was quick to take our order and we were seated right away as well. The place wasn't packed which was nice. Our grand-baby was with us but he was knocked out lol after a long day at school. Even though he was sleeping on my lap the server made sure to ask if we are ordering anything for him and we did so he can eat later. We got steak, lobster tail, baked potato, rice and mashed potatoes. Both our orders tasted great and freshly made and cooked to perfection. We had no issues, enjoyed our meal and staff was friendly. I recommend this location especially if you're shopping at the outlets

Annnnd we're back! Came in for lunch and dinner while in town and as always our servers were top notch and our food came quickly and deliciously. Also thank you for gifting me one of your cute little Koala's. They usually come with some specialty beverages, but they are not something I would usually like to drink. Too sweet for me. So thanks for the sweet gesture. It's so precious I love it

Love me some Coconut Shrimp so that started off the meal. Cooked perfectly and very tasty. Sirloin and Bloomin Chicken - Sirloin cooked medium was on point. A little heavy on seasoning but a good steak. The chicken was cooked in breading from the Bloomin Onion so it was an awesome meal all the way around. Topped off with the Blackberry Sangria and you have another meal done did!

After shopping at the outlet stores, we wanted to get dinner and saw this spot right in the middle of the center! The drinks were solid! The complimentary bread is super soft and fluffy too. Ordered the grilled chicken plate with a side vegetables and rice. The chicken was cooked well and had the perfect amount of seasoning! Our waiter was really nice, and the tables, floors, and bathrooms were very clean. A great casual place to eat American food after a long day of shopping

I got three: the jalapeño and cheese, the spinach and cheese, and the mushroom and cheese. The pupusas -- masa flour tortillas with filling -- were so large that the three made up my lunch and dinner. The pupusas themselves came incredibly hot right out of the kitchen, and were amazingly tasty, with gooey melted cheese blending with the fillings. But then, there was also the sauce. There's both red and green, and both have a very nice burn, which is more intense than one might be used to from, say, a Tex-Mex restaurant. It likewise comes with a lovely curtido (shredded cabbage, jalapeño, and onion), and when put on the pupusa with the sauce, the effect is *sublime.* My spouse shared her fried plantains with crema, which were likewise delicious. Topped everything of with a Jarritos lime soda that was a great accompaniment to a perfect meal. This is quite good, and I'd highly recommend it if you like any sort of Latin American cuisine.

I had a tamal salvadoreña, which reminded me of a Sunday roast dinner with pork instead of beef and wrapped in steamed masa instead of rolls on the table. So tender, delectable. I ordered more but this dish alone can get you through the day, my goodness. My plantain plate was educational comfort food. The plantains were sweet, beans were salty, and the crema just the right hint of sour. Again, this plate alone would make a great meal. Mr R tried three vegetarian pupusas, all of which include cheese--spinach, mushroom, and jalapeño. There was also squash and squash blossom available (I think, menu says loroco) which I REALLY want to try. That lovely curtido/slaw on the side was much appreciated. This was one of those times where I felt I had to remind him more than once to chew, he was shoveling it down so fast in glee. In case you crave some heat, they included a few red and green salsas lovingly packaged in their own bags which I seldom see. Both the red and green were pretty warm, we agreed on that. Start cautiously and increase if needed. Also grabbed a lime jarritos (we're adjusting to Mr R's diagnosis forbidding high fructose corn syrup and fruit juice, so are extra grateful for the choice) which was the exact right flavor to have alongside this table. Definitely want to come try more of this menu.

Something needs to be done in response to his cruelty. But, what? For over a year he has been finding reasons to scold us over my Service Dogs -- my EXTRAORDINARILY WELL TRAINED SERVICE DOGS.  We should have never returned after his first fit of abuse over my very calm, very quiet Service Dogs. But, it's the only steak house in our area. First, it was because I gave them a piece of a tomato off of my salad, with my fingers. They had no interaction with anything on the table. I gave them a tiny bite of the tomato from the salad that I purchased. This is FDA Compliant. My Disabilities don't require large Service Dogs. So, I use a pair of pomeranians. Because they're so small, I keep them in a dog stroller that also serves as a walker with wheels for me. That way, they are confined and not touching a dirty floor that may be unsanitary. If you were to ever hear them bark, know that they are calling for help, for me.  I love them with all of my heart, and they love me. So, yes, they are my fur babies, but they do have jobs to do. Out in the public, they see that people are near and watching me. They are so smart. Sometimes, we even communicate with with hand signs. Unless I'm in a surgical setting, I'm never apart from my Service Dogs. They are so accustomed to waiting in doctor's offices, they curl up and take naps. They even accompany me into the Emergency Rooms. When I'm hospitalized, they spend every day sitting and watching over me. It may sound harsh, but they only leave their stroller to go potty outside and take a walk around the hospital gardens. Pomeranians are lap dogs, so they love their stroller. Away from home, they prefer it. People passing by think that it's hilarious how they sit up and casually take in the sights. They honestly look like they're shopping in the stores. They assess and adapt to the etiquette needs in various settings. Going into a restaurant is an almost daily event for them and the only part that gets them excited is the end of the meal. As I eat, I cut off tiny pieces of meat and set them aside. I, also, save a small tomato from my salad for them. I cut it into tiny bites, also. Then, I hand feed them their little bite size treats. Their saliva never has any interaction with any of the restaurant's plates or flatware. Most of the times that we go to a restaurant, it's after a day of doctor visits. As puppies do, they get thirsty. So, we carry a handy little collapsible water bowl. When we order our teas, we order a Disposable To-Go Cup of water that we pour into their travel dish. Until now, I've never had a restaurant refuse to give me a disposable cup of water... NEVER. As a matter of fact, most restaurant's staff absolutely love my puppies. Embarrassed and mad, I actually walked out of the only steak house around me. I really looked forward to eating there. But, now, I can never return. I guess that I won't be ordering deliveries from there either. I'm stunned to have been treated like I was. As I said, NATHAN WAKE, the GENERAL MANAGER of THE SALTGRASS RESTAURANT in San Marcos, Texas refused to give my puppies a DISPOSABLE TO-GO CUP OF WATER TO POUR INTO THEIR OWN TRAVEL PUPPY BOWL (that we carry with us). Something needs to be done in response to his cruelty. But, what? Unfortunately, the service was the biggest disappointment. Our waiter never really welcomed us or made us feel appreciated as guests, especially for such an important occasion with a party of 13. As the graduate and guest of honor, I felt completely ignored the entire night, which especially upset my mother. He mainly interacted with only one family member the entire evening and came across as cold and uninterested. I understand he may have had a broken wrist or was having a difficult day, but it still felt disrespectful and lacking basic hospitality. I might consider returning someday to try the regular menu instead of the preset graduation menu, but I definitely would not want the same waiter again.
