We went twice on our visit to San Antonio. Our first trip was 12/21/2024 for dinner. We had four guests. The first seat was a booth that you literally sunk into so uncomfortable. We asked for a new table and were easily accommodated. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms. On this visit the food was good however my mother in law ordered her steak well done and came our medium. Our waiter didn't know how to take our gift card . The second visit was a much better experience. Firman was our waiter and is an exceptional server. He anticipated our needs without having to ask. Our food was cooked perfectly as well. Very professional and friendly. He knew how to use the gift card as well. Highly recommend him.

My sole purpose of visiting New Braunfels, TX was not to dine at LongHorn Steakhouse. Rather, I wanted to stop by Buc-ee's, the largest convenience store in the world, at least at the time I went. I noticed that LongHorn Steakhouse was in the vicinity, and I was hoping to work up an appetite to try a lunch special. I saw their lunch specials on their website; one of these lunch specials is a 10 oz salmon, which comes on top of a bed of rice. However, I couldn't remember if the lunch specials ended at 2 PM or 3 PM. While exploring New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside, the name of the shopping center encompassing LongHorn Steakhouse and many other businesses, I lost track of time as well as the location of the steakhouse, so I came between 2 and 3 PM, not knowing if the lunch specials were still available or not. When I arrived, I asked the hostess for a menu, and she handed one to me. One side said "Lunch", and I confirmed with the hostess it was still lunch hours. Next thing I noticed was the empty bar as well as the empty tables next to the bar. Was it closed or something? The hostess confirmed I could still sit at the bar, and that's what I did. Seraiah came out to greet me, but initially thought I was planning to order to go. Again, I almost thought the bar was closed, but when I said I was planning to dine at the bar, she said she would be happy to serve me. After starting me with a glass of iced water, she offered me some bread and butter, to which I couldn't say no. She presented the warm bread alongside a small cup of butter, all on top of a cutting board. Good presentation, and did I mention that the bread was pretty warm? Went well with the butter and kept me company while I waited for the 10 oz salmon. Seraiah mentioned that the salmon would come with one side, though she initially said two sides, but I think during lunch, it's only one side. I asked her to describe the crispy okra, which was the only regular side that was a LongHorn favorite. She simply said it was a vegetable, but emphasized that it's a favorite amongst LongHorn customers. There were Signature sides, but Seraiah mentioned it would be a $2.79 upcharge. I chose the crispy okra, curious as to how much I would like this vegetable side. I finished the bread in about 10 minutes. Another 10 or so minutes later, Seraiah handed me my plate of salmon with rice and crispy okra. The salmon was pretty tasty, but could have used a little more flavor. Nevertheless, I like how the salmon was cooked, and it went well with the rice, which was pretty much like the salmon in terms of flavor. However, I had quite a bit of leftover butter from the bread, so I smeared the leftover butter all over the salmon and rice to add a little flavor to them, which kind of worked. The crispy okra wasn't bad, but I wouldn't call it a favorite side of mine. The breading on the okra was pretty inconsistent from piece to piece. Like there was more breading on one than another, and on some, the breading would fall off rather easily. I also used some of the leftover butter on the okra, which didn't really do much good. Seraiah was a good server, even filling up my glass of water immediately after handing me my salmon plate, but it did take her a while for her to notice my asking for the check. Nevertheless, Seraiah should make your dining experience more pleasant than the average server. My rating here is more like a 7 out of 10, but I'm rounding up to 4 out of 5 because I made it a point to return to LongHorn albeit a different location and try one of their steaks before my flight back home to SoCal.

    Undercooked salmon.

I've gone to three other LongHorn Steakhouses so I'm a little disappointed having to give this location 3 stars. Usually everything is excellent. However the food, and service were just "okay" here. My salmon was undercooked and it took the server a long time to come back to my table.

    Strawberry lemonade...refreshing.

This was one of the most impersonal and uncomfortable dining experiences we have ever had. We understood that ordering and payment were handled through a touchless system by scanning a code. However, "touchless" should not mean receiving absolutely no service or basic human interaction. Our food was brought out and placed on the table, but the server did not ask whether we needed anything else. We had no silverware to eat with, and our soft drinks never arrived. We had to repeatedly get up and ask for basic items that should have been provided with our meal. Later, we had to approach the bar again just to request to-go boxes. The food was served hot, which we appreciated, but the taste was mediocre at best. What made the experience especially frustrating was the lack of care, attention, and hospitality. We believed the bill had been paid because the ordering system indicated that the transaction was complete. Later that evening, we received a call saying the bill had not been fully paid and that only one cent had been authorized. We spoke with Ashanti that evening and assured her that we would return the following day to pay the complete balance of $48.11--which we did. We paid the bill in cash to avoid experiencing any additional problems with their tap/touchless payment system. Had any employee taken a moment to interact with us, check on our table, or confirm payment before we left, this issue could have easily been resolved at the restaurant. We were not attempting to avoid paying our bill. In fact, we returned the very next day and made sure it was paid in full. The entire experience made us feel ignored, uncomfortable, and completely unappreciated as paying customers. We were also the only people we could perceive as persons of color in the dining area, which honestly left us wondering whether race played a role in the noticeably dismissive treatment we received. I cannot say with certainty that it did, but the experience was troubling enough to raise that concern. We work hard for our money and expect to be treated with the same basic courtesy and appreciation as every other customer. We will not return to this location, and we cannot recommend it to anyone who expects attentive service, hospitality, or even basic acknowledgement. I won't be returning, I did return to pay check. I won't be returning and will share my experience with any one who ask! When I have cash to the cashier (male) he gave my receipt to Mgr (male) also, then the manager gave to me...I look shook my head and smiled and politely accepted my receipt and left after mgr gave $15off and free mini golf coupon. I won't get it and I don't get it!!!! Bye

Driving into their large parking lot, and seeing it completely full, let us know that it was going to be packed. Walking inside, we saw it was packed, but they got us seated rather quickly. After getting to our seats, the waitress arrived with menus very quickly and asked if she could start us off with coffee. We took her up on the coffee, and before she came back, we decided what we wanted. We all ordered something completely different, and mine was one of their famous waffles. I also got a side of bacon. The food came pretty quickly considering how packed they were. All orders were just as ordered. My waffle came with syrup and butter on the side so that I could use as much/little as I wanted. Everything was very good, and our waitress never let our coffee mugs get even half empty. She was really good at her job and was also a very good conversationalist. Will I return? Definitely!

There's a great variety of beers and cocktails, and the food is solid. All 9 of us enjoyed our selections so much that I completely forgot to take pictures! The jalapeño gravy is a yearly must for me and never disappoints. Another bonus is the live music outside, usually playing while you wait for your table. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the service, which has been reliably subpar over the years. No one seems particularly happy to be working, and there's definitely no sense of urgency. Still, the food, drinks, atmosphere, and tradition keep bringing us back!

The area is quite spacious - with 3 main areas for dining, and its own parking lot which is fantastic. Even though I was tempted for a good time going in the evening --- or even the weekend --- I had a bunch of errands today and chose rather to go for breakfast when the amount of people is few and the environment is just overall more relaxed. I'm glad I did. For my meal I ordered just one thing the Bauern Schnitzel. This dish is described as a "breakfast specialty featuring a hand-breaded pork schnitzel topped with two eggs and hollandaise sauce. This German-Texan fusion dish is served daily during morning hours and comes with a biscuit alongside your choice of home fries, hash browns, grits, or black beans." Within minutes of my order being placed, my food came out in about 5 minutes -- not too shabby! As you can see from the photo, it looked very appealing. How was the taste? Simply filling and comforting. It was rich, stick to your bones grub that you want every so often. Hash browns were crisp, and the schnitzel was fried perfectly and topped with my over easy eggs. Everything simply worked in unison for a flavorful combination. The biscuit was also something to mention. It was homemade, fluffy, and not dry whatsoever! If I weren't such an introvert, I'd love to visit in the evenings --- as fun as this experience was this morning. The space is beautiful and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
