I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 8 years. 5 1/2 was for twin peaks. We were never allowed to turn down a food request until close. At the Stassney location the Manager David has never allowed me to be turned down. And the bar tenders Trey and Jameson always make sure I have fresh hot bread and well made food. It is so disappointing this location not only gave me me bread too hard for my 3yr old to eat but also said at 10:54pm they could not give me a different one. I am aware not all of the locations have amazing managers like David and bar tenders like Trey and Jameson. Southwest Parkway seems to be the only safe location to eat at. Service was mediocre. Five employees at the hostess stand, and five employees waiting tables. I ordered chicken fried steak. The fried coating was not sticking to the steak. I also order fried okra. The okra was fried, but was in whole pieces. Again, the coating was falling off the okra. The restaurant had a musty smell, like carpet that was shampooed but not allowed to dry. The New Braunfels location is the perfect place to go to argue how you like your food. We asked for our steak to be extra well done and even burned. The waitress said, I don't know about burned but we can do extra well done. It came medium rare with blood running across the plate. We sent it back. No big deal it happens. Comes back out with a manager??? saying he didn't want to overcook it that we didn't want it burnt. My husband said we actually did. Parts of it were well done enough to eat on the ends. We gave up and came home and ate left over breakfast tacos. We went twice on our visit to San Antonio. Our first trip was 12/21/2024 for dinner. We had four guests. The first seat was a booth that you literally sunk into so uncomfortable. We asked for a new table and were easily accommodated. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms. On this visit the food was good however my mother in law ordered her steak well done and came our medium. Our waiter didn't know how to take our gift card . The second visit was a much better experience. Firman was our waiter and is an exceptional server. He anticipated our needs without having to ask. Our food was cooked perfectly as well. I used to love Longhorn Steakhouse, and it used to be a treat. The last three times we have gone, we have disappointed. The very very best ribeye i had from them was in Boulder Colorado, but the steaks i have had since we moved here were not good. For some reason, every time i have gone the steaks are massively over seasoned, to the point that parts of the steak were inedible. Service is great, but the bathrooms are not, they need a thorough clean, which to me means they dont care. I cant imagine how filthy the kitchen must be, if they know we can see the gross bathrooms and are not motivated to clean them. I do not want to give them another chance. My sole purpose of visiting New Braunfels, TX was not to dine at LongHorn Steakhouse. Rather, I wanted to stop by Buc-ee's, the largest convenience store in the world, at least at the time I went. I noticed that LongHorn Steakhouse was in the vicinity, and I was hoping to work up an appetite to try a lunch special. I saw their lunch specials on their website; one of these lunch specials is a 10 oz salmon, which comes on top of a bed of rice. However, I couldn't remember if the lunch specials ended at 2 PM or 3 PM. While exploring New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside, the name of the shopping center encompassing LongHorn Steakhouse and many other businesses, I lost track of time as well as the location of the steakhouse, so I came between 2 and 3 PM, not knowing if the lunch specials were still available or not. When I arrived, I asked the hostess for a menu, and she handed one to me. One side said "Lunch", and I confirmed with the hostess it was still lunch hours. Next thing I noticed was the empty bar as well as the empty tables next to the bar. Was it closed or something? The hostess confirmed I could still sit at the bar, and that's what I did. Seraiah came out to greet me, but initially thought I was planning to order to go. Again, I almost thought the bar was closed, but when I said I was planning to dine at the bar, she said she would be happy to serve me. After starting me with a glass of iced water, she offered me some bread and butter, to which I couldn't say no. She presented the warm bread alongside a small cup of butter, all on top of a cutting board. Good presentation, and did I mention that the bread was pretty warm? Went well with the butter and kept me company while I waited for the 10 oz salmon. Seraiah mentioned that the salmon would come with one side, though she initially said two sides, but I think during lunch, it's only one side. I asked her to describe the crispy okra, which was the only regular side that was a LongHorn favorite. She simply said it was a vegetable, but emphasized that it's a favorite amongst LongHorn customers. There were Signature sides, but Seraiah mentioned it would be a $2.79 upcharge. I chose the crispy okra, curious as to how much I would like this vegetable side. I finished the bread in about 10 minutes. Another 10 or so minutes later, Seraiah handed me my plate of salmon with rice and crispy okra. The salmon was pretty tasty, but could have used a little more flavor. Nevertheless, I like how the salmon was cooked, and it went well with the rice, which was pretty much like the salmon in terms of flavor. However, I had quite a bit of leftover butter from the bread, so I smeared the leftover butter all over the salmon and rice to add a little flavor to them, which kind of worked. The crispy okra wasn't bad, but I wouldn't call it a favorite side of mine. The breading on the okra was pretty inconsistent from piece to piece. Like there was more breading on one than another, and on some, the breading would fall off rather easily. I also used some of the leftover butter on the okra, which didn't really do much good. Seraiah was a good server, even filling up my glass of water immediately after handing me my salmon plate, but it did take her a while for her to notice my asking for the check. Nevertheless, Seraiah should make your dining experience more pleasant than the average server. My rating here is more like a 7 out of 10, but I'm rounding up to 4 out of 5 because I made it a point to return to LongHorn albeit a different location and try one of their steaks before my flight back home to SoCal. read more

Bathrooms were in dire need of a serious cleaning, yuck! Ordered a medium well filet and got a medium rare, huge difference. Meal included a salad which came to the table after the entree and side were served. We set with our bread only for a long time before anything else was served and the Texas tea was very late to the table. Waiter stated they all of a sudden got busy and then was observed going to the kitchen to check on the Texas tea after being asked twice where it was. Husband's medium rare was right however tough to cut. We will take our business to Texas Roadhouse and spend our $100.00 plus there gladly. Not sure why this place doesn't have higher ratings. The hostess was meh, however our server Maribel was amazing. She made us feel welcomed, grabbed our drinks went over the menu our gave us recommendations. We started with the garlic mushrooms (they were so good) we shared a meal which by the way was huge. I do not get the negative reviews about Longhorn. Our experience was the exact opposite. Great food, friendly and attentive staff even on a busy night. I have to give Paisley, our server a special mention. She is a breath of fresh air. Helpful, friendly, attentive, funny. We had the white cheddar stuffed mushrooms for our appetizer. A ribeye sandwich with fries and cowboy pork chops with a salad and loaded sweet potato for our entrees. Everything was pretty good. I was however surprised by the pork chops.I didn't expect much but it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The loaded sweet potato was yummy as well. Oh, and their complimentary bread was pretty good as well. I was given a free dessert for my birthday too. We will be back. read more

The smell was like old vomit. Nasty and off-putting. The salad was...meh. The sides: asparagus was obviously old and prepared by someone who hated asparagus; baked potato was overdone and dry, dry, dry; the rice pilaf had an off flavor...I think it was from a box. The main event: we both had filets that were cooked to the right level, however, they were tough! Really had to make use of the steak knife. Instead of a simple salt and pepper seasoning, they had some sort of house seasoning that the cook used to excess. Overly salty and you could not taste the meat. How does a restaurant mess up an entire order? The sangria tasted questionable, as if something was wrong or off about it. The replacement drink a strawberry' margarita with a sugared rim came to the table with an over salted rim. The excessive salt ruined the flavor of the beverage. Our appetizer never arrived. My husband's food arrived cold to the table. My steak was requested med well. It arrived cooked medium. I requested , again, that it be cooked medium well. It returned to our table pretty much burnt. The only reason this is one star is the bread was good. The management attempted to resolve the issue...but each attempt to fix an issue resulted in the outcome being equally undesirable as the initial issue. The ambiance seemed nice. First of all, the hostesses were spectacular! I graduated and I had a whole party of 15 rowdy family and they did their very best to accommodate as best as possible! I don't remember the waiter's name, unfortunately, but had curly hair and was absolutely awesome! He didn't mess up our order at all, was very sweet, and did his best to get us our orders on time. We have not eaten at this location before and wanted to check it out on a Saturday night. We had about a 30 minute wait which wasn't that bad. They have a texting system which we are fond of. That way we are not having to listen for our name being yelled out. The restaurant was clean and we had a table where we could see the Longhorn game which was nice. Our waiter was nice and she took good care of us. I order the potato soup which was thick and hearty. Not too crazy about the bread but it was ok. I ordered a 9ounce fillet with a side of Mac.
