I am a HUGE fan of this place! I've been here two times now and both experiences were amazing. You get greeted by friendly staff at the door and if you've never been there before they take the time to explain things to you. You get the best hot rolls served to you before anything. The wait staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. And I love that the manager comes around and makes sure your experience was pleasant. Now for the food..it's amazing! This place is so hit or miss. Do not order takeout from here, after reading previous mixed reviews I was hesitant to do it myself. I ordered a drink with my meal, the waitress kept telling me that I didn't order one. After going back to my car and pulling up the email with my receipt that showed the drink at the bottom, I walked back in to show her. She laughed and replied with "haha oh my bad, didn't see that." No crap you didn't see it, because you didn't process what I was telling you to begin with! Went here for a family dinner. A bit of wait to get a table but well worth the wait. For as busy as it was the service was awesome. The server was quick to our table and the drinks and appetizers arrived fast. Never had to wait for refills on our drinks, the server was always on top of it. Very disappointed in service.. called in for reservations was told 7 ppl reservation had to wait an hour to be seated. Understandable. But when got there after waiting in car for text was told to come to door quickly . When we got to door we were told had to split up group . Half our group were our kids. They sat one half of our family on one side of restaurant , and the other on total opposite of restaurant . What was the point of waiting an hour for reservation?? .. staff was not at all phased by their seating arrangement of our family.. i totally understand covid and restrictions but this restaurant could have handled our family definitely. Today was my sons 21st BD, he chose to eat here with the family. We were greeted kindly at the door, used online check in..was seated in 10 minutes! Off to a great start, right? Wrong! This is the ONLY thing that went right tonight! Our waitress Bri/Brea , was horrible! Ordered the onion ring thing for an appetizer WITH ranch, our appetizer was gone and we're STILL waiting on ranch AND drinks! After taking our orders (6 of us) we waited an adequate amount of time for our food, then it came out in 3 separate trips! My mashed and gravy was cold! My husbands steak fries were cold! Did I mention the 30 minute wait trying to get a few more rolls? Or never being offered another drink from the bar until we were almost ready to leave! Oh let's not leave out that we asked them to sing Happy Birthday as well and that never happened either! And last but not least, your bright neon light hanging over the bathrooms that says OUTHOUSE is so appropriate! No one should ever be seated near those restrooms again! The smell of pee coming from the bathrooms was horrible! The bathrooms themselves stunk of urine so bad I had to literally hold my shirt over my nose and walk out! Went here (Taylor MI location) to celebrate my birthday and I cannot give enough praise. Stephanie was an AMAZING server and the management was equally impressive. I feel like every staff member greeted us or checked on us repeatedly. I only saw one grumpy server and in fairness to her it was packed and I'm sure she was overwhelmed. We will certainly be back. All of the staff was full of smiles, and as busy as they were, I'm sure they were exhausted but they shined! Two words: fried pickles. AMAZING. Pickles have always been one of my favorite things to eat (and probably could have been considered their own food group in my diet when I was a kid, haha) so I always jump at the chance to try fried pickles wherever I can find them. Texas Roadhouse by far has THE BEST fried pickles in existence (or at least that I've tried)! The Rattlesnake Bites, Tater Skins, and Baby Blossom are also very good. As a vegetarian, there's actually not much on the menu that I can eat here, but the fantastic appetizers keep me coming back. The atmosphere here is also great, as well as the service. The place is always busy -- I wasn't aware that they opened so late (4 pm) and got there a bit early one time when my mom and I were planning to meet for an early dinner; to my surprise, the parking lot was already littered with cars, lined up and waiting for the doors to open! But despite the large crowds, I've never had a bad service experience here. The waiters are always friendly and helpful. This is one of the only chains that I consider a "favorite restaurant." My first time at this Texas Roadhouse. They have a special of 11 entrees for 9.99 until 6. I was wondering why it was so busy on a Monday afternoon. We were seated almost immediately. Our waitress was excellent. She brought our drinks and bread right away, The bread is delicious and warm. We both ordered our steaks rare and this is the first time we actually got the steaks the way we ordered. Bianca, the service manager came to out table and gave us a bag of peanuts with a coupon for a free appetizer for the next time we come in. It's funny, but I have lived within six miles of the Texas Roadhouse and have never been there until tonight. Texas Roadhouse is a chain restaurant, similar in ambiance and decor to a Logan's--yes, there are the same small buckets of peanuts on each table (and the floor is covered with the crushed shells. I still do not understand why the habit of tossing the empty shells on the floor only to be crushed underfoot adds to some level of realism or ambiance, but there it is.) It was Friday evening, around 7:30 when we arrived. As it was prime dinner time, I expected a wait. After walking in, we were greeted promptly and told the wait was currently 10-20 minutes. We stood in the lobby for 15 minutes (my husband is a bit of a stickler for time--if he is told a time frame estimate, he likes to keep tabs on its accuracy) and watched the lively activity going on in the grill area to pass the time. I was noting the general low-key Western-themed decor, designed without a doubt to be easy to clean. We were seated by one of the front staff and our waitress was at the table within one minute to inquire about drinks. She also noticed that we were seated almost directly under a speaker pumping VERY loud music and offered to turn it down so we wouldn't be blasted out of our seat (and it was so). The menu at Texas Roadhouse is another place it diverges from Logan's. It is large, uncomplicated and less expensive than Logan's. The offerings are basic, familiar, American and comfortable. Grilled hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs, chicken, some seafood selections, a nice variety of salads, burgers and a kids menu. You can bring your large group here and order from a lovely selection of appetizers to share. If you are particularly hungry, they have Texas Size Combos with two meat selections. There is a full bar with the normally expected choices available. I ordered the Road Kill--a thick, 10-ounce patty of fresh ground chuck, grilled to your preference, covered with sauteed onions, mushrooms and Jack cheese. I ordered it without onions. It came with two sides; I chose the award-winning chili and a house salad. The other side of the table also ordered the Road Kill, but with a Caesar salad and chili. When we were seated, we were presented with four rolls and cinnamon butter. We didn't partake because we both eat no bread. But I have to say that they smelled and looked heavenly. Our salads arrived promptly. They were freshly-made and good sized. As we were finishing them, our entrees arrived. I took a minute to appreciate the presentation and was well-pleased with what I saw. A cup of chili sat alongside a very tasty-looking grilled patty. The first bite confirmed for me that we would have to become more frequent patrons of the Texas Roadhouse. The meat was cooked exactly as I had ordered it, it was served piping hot and exquisitely tender to the fork. The other side of the table reported a similar experience. Our waitress came by several times to refill iced tea and ask after our satisfaction, of which there was plenty. A manager strolled past and also asked after us, and we reported being very happy with our experience. Now, the price. Each Road Kill was $9.99. And I ended up having to take half of the patty home for later, as did the other side of the table. Now, that is a pretty good value in my book. Overall, I feel that large groups will do well here, as well as families. If you are looking for a fun and lively place to spend an hour or two before heading on to the main event for the evening, you will do well at Texas Roadhouse. The service is more than just adequate, and the food is tasty, well-prepared. The meal is paced just right. Neither of us felt rushed or ignored. We will definitely be back. If this review was based on food and food alone it would be a 5 star review. When trying to walk in the greeters that normally open the door we're just chit chatting and we had to wait to open the doors for them to notice people there. I have no problem opening the door myself just wasn't able to without interupting them. We were seated and left with bread (no silverware) 15 minutes later they took our drink order and we ordered an appetizer and asked for silverware. Drinks came out with no straws. She brought no silverware either. Came back with our appetizer and no straw or silverware. We ask again and finally get it. Took the food order. Food was out quick and was fantastic. Cooks were on point. Server came about 5 minutes into meal to see if we wanted to go boxes. We tell her no we aren't done yet. She then disappeared for a good 30-40 minutes before bringing us our Bill. We pay with card they then bring the receipt and hand it to my wife even though card is in my name and I handed them the card and Bill. This was not the service one should expect on a slower night. Hope they get it together. UPDATE. manger contacted me promptly. Once fully resolved, I Will update review. Prompt response from the management goes a long way. This place is amazing. No doubt my go to default restaurant. The food is very tasty, I've had ribs, portabello chicken, sirloin, filet, and lots of other items as well. Sometimes I get a steak that's a little to fatty but if I mention it they replace it. The sweet potato is to die for as well as the rolls and cinnamon butter. The waitstaff is always friendly and fast. Everytime I go there a manager comes tithe table to check if everything is ok. I decided to go to Texas Road House after school, because it's one of my favs. So I ordered a steak medium rare and I was brought a steak medium well, but all my sides were correct. I let my waitress know about the mistake and she took my steak and left me my sides. The manager came up to me and told me that my food will be coming out soon and she is sorry for the mistake. I apologize to her and the waiters Because as a waitress myself, I hate complaining about food. They brought me my steak and all fresh sides, the situation has handled so nicely. This is a really good place that has been worth it both times we've gone. We just went again for the second time today and it was an amazing experience. Everything went great the whole way through. Had a gift certificate so.....I was pleasantly surprised, the service was very good, quick and good. I have tried other franchise places and I am happy to say this location is very different. I have gone to this restaurant several times. The service is always fast and friendly. The steaks are not terrible, not great. The thing that drives me nuts about this place is their salt addiction. From past experience , I order the steak with no salt. That helps a lot. But, everything else is smothered in salt. I usually have mashed potatoes but they are inedible due to salt. They destroy the corn with salt. I guess if you are going to have only a steak and a soft drink it might be alright but I like something as a side dish. I wish there was someplace around where you could get a reasonably priced steak and not be forced to eat two months worth of salt. I have tried Logans but they are almost as bad and have lesser quality cuts of meat. Unfortunately, I will not be back. read more

They have the best food around...I love there fried pickles, BBQ chicken and there garden salad are the best. Than they also serve biscuits that you just can't stop eating ...so by the time you leave you feel way heavier than before you got there. They move quick with getting people seated. The only thing I can saw that I don't like is they don't have more of a waiting area . I think it should be bigger, instead of people having to stand out side especially on a cold day . read more

My boyfriend and I have been to this restaurant several times. We have never had to wait for a table, even when it seems packed. No long wait for our orders. My boyfriend sticks to his favorites such as the prime rib (highly recommended), grilled chicken salad and onion blossom. I, on the other hand have tried just about everything on the menu and it has all be very tasty. Only gripe is that the prime rib is only available after 1:30pm. On one occasion, they didn't have it ready. Hence, my 4 vs 5 star rating. Overall however, you won't be disappointed. read more
