    Australian Wagyo NY Strip Steak
    Bob C.

Start off with the service. Shayna was amazing! She not only helped me decide my steak choice, she brought out an uncooked Australian wagyo strip and an Australian wagyo ribeye uncooked, to show me how they differed. I chose the strip and it was as good as I've ever had. We went on a Tuesday and Shayna told us they offered the surf and turf special so my wife ordered the fillet and lobster tail. She loved it. Their side salad, baked potato, and the grilled asparagus are all larger portions than normal. Get the crab bisque too, best anywhere. We will be back!

    Oysters Rockefeller

Went for Father's Day, no reservation as it was last minute but they were able to seat us due to a cancellation. They were about to close so we had to order pretty quick. The drinks were ok, not the best strawberry lemon drop I've had but good enough to drink. We had buffalo shrimp as an appetizer which reminded me of hooters (very good). My friend had mushroom soup which was tasty. The oysters Rockefeller were ok, not the best I had but were good. My friend had lamb chops which they liked and I had the prime rib French dip which was just ok. The service was ok. I would give it another visit.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great warm ambience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the food is delicious from the sea scallops to the calamari which is divine and perfect and crisp and the crab bisque is perfect and creamy with lump of crabmeat on top .

My favorite neighboring steakhouse. I celebrated my boyfriend birthday which was his first time at this establishment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Of course the ambience is elegant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our calamari, firecracker shrimp and crab bisque were delicious and fresh. My boyfriend enjoyed his NY Strip Steak and I loved my steak Waygu burger. Of course, our server Tricia was the best and the manager is definitely boss lady. We shall return!

Old fashioned and Long Island ice tea

First time here to celebrate hubby's birthday. There is parking behind the building and they have valet service, which we opted not to do. Ambiance is wonderful and we were seated at one of their high tables. Jill was our server and she was just as wonderful! For drinks, my son and I ordered the old fashioned and hubby ordered a Long Island ice tea. We typically order calamari for an appetizer, but decided to try something different and went with the (east) raw oysters. Hubby didn't care for them but my son and I finished them off. For the main entrees, I ordered the sea scallops. My son ordered the 8 oz. filet mignon, medium rare with fries. Hubby ordered the same but he had his well done and with a baked potato. For dessert, I ordered the carrot cake, which is massive! Our son ordered the chocolate mousse torte and the birthday guy ordered the key lime pie. I enjoyed my entree. The risotto had lobster in it and I could taste it in every bite. Hubby enjoyed his meal and our son said that his filet mignon was good but not great. He felt it was not flavored enough and not tender enough. Overall, we enjoyed our drinks, food and desserts.

    Filet Mignon rare

Had a date night here and it didn't disappoint! The filet my husband had was cooked to its rare perfection. The Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops were so tasty too! Lemon drop martinis were delicious and the bourbon selection was vast with a healthy pour! Colossal shrimp cocktail with a spicy horseradish cocktail sauce was tasty too. Highly recommended!!

Went there last night for dinner with my wife. We had not been there in over five years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I could not get over how nice it was inside great atmosphere great ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartenders Kathy and Tori were outstanding very knowledgeable and very friendly. Started out with steak bites as an appetizer, they were delicious. My wife had lobster risotto with scallops. I'm not a scallop guy, but I tasted her lobster risotto and it was outstanding. I ordered the brick chicken and I can tell you it was the best brick chicken I have ever had in my life. Better than Armands in the south loop better than café bionda. It was crispy and the sauce was incredible. We had a few cocktails like I said the bartenders were fantastic. I would definitely go back there and I definitely recommend this place.

Be aware. Even if you have horrible service, you will be tipping 18-20%. Our waitress actually got less then I would normally give. But tips are not mandatory. You will also need to bring cash or you will receive 3.3% service charge. The standard rate that most companies get charged is 3%. This is the cost of doing business. Include it in your prices. This is so tacky. I won't be back. The food was decent, but nothing that I would write home about.

Thank you for the great experience and good food!! This was definitely perfect before our concert. We will be back again.

From the dark wood features to old school menu items, the environment strongly suggests an unassuming hideaway for the wealthy. Whether you want a family meal or a bustling environment all depends on if you sit at the bar or dining room. I have had plenty of red table cloth meals here in the dining room and service is always impeccable and professional. If you want a more casual boisterous vibe, opt for the open seating at the bar. There you'll find Jimmy and his barback friends - it is guaranteed they will take superb care of you and your company. I really can't say enough great things about the food here. You will not be disappointed in anything you order. Seems a bit unbelievable, but the seafood here is some of the best in the country - I've traveled coast to coast and it still didn't hit as hard as the crisp shrimp cocktail from Gibbons. Whether you go all out and order a steak or keep it simple with appetizers, your palette will thank you!

The fillet bites made you want to order more. The chicken was so tender and juicy. Seasoning on all the dishes were 5 star. I had a melt in your mouth fillet that was as big as a baseball and cut like butter. I shared the spinach gratin because it was off the charts. I am a fan favorite of the lobster roll because it is fresh and you get big chunks of lobster. We wanted something other than just burgers again, so I proposed seafood. There didn't seem to be a lot of options in this area, but Dancing Marlin seemed to fit the bill and was pretty close. Before going, we looked at the menu, and there really wasn't anything my little one was going to want on the kids menu - there was no seafood for the kids, not even a basic fish and chips. He saw the lobster rolls appetizer though, and that sold him, so we got in the car and headed down. When we went to order, the waiter told us the only thing they were out of was the lobster rolls, but when we asked about the lobster gnocchi that my other son was about to order, they said they could do that, so I asked to speak with the manager. She explained that they only liked to use big whole pieces of lobster for the lobster rolls, and that is what they were out of, but had the smaller pieces they normally used in the gnocchi dish. I asked if she could do the lobster rolls with the smaller pieces, and she confirmed with the chef so we were back in business. The food was all excellent. I had the seared ahi and it was delicious, but was just a small portion for my liking. The scallops my wife had were delicious, but for $38 it was only 4 scallops. Maybe kids who live around here don't want fish when their parents do, but you should at least have a kids portion of fish and chips, or some fried shrimp on the menu for them. I'm not going to order a $27 fish and chips portion for a little kid, but he also didn't come to just eat chicken nuggets or buttered noodles.

I know it'll be there by my next visit, which will be soon. A seller for me is homemade pasta with an option for gluten free. If it was organic it's a hard 5. No judgement though. Frankie's is the spot where you park up by 3:45/3:50 and wait for the doors to open as their hours are short, hot and sweet. This is a tucked away spot packing tons of flavor on the small menu(major hit). Locals pack this spot asap at the bar so be there by 3:45. Haha. The restaurant has nice decor and attentive friendly service. As the server comes to the table with heavy greetings, they run down the special menu. Drinks are always good, nothing intricate but enough to elevate the experience and hit hard. The appetizers are good. I enjoyed the calamari and shrimp as well as the octopus. But now to the star of the show is their pastas. FRIENDLY REMINDER, all are homemade. The Pappardelle w/ Wide Ribbon Pasta, Black Truffle Cream Sauce and Mushrooms is amazing.. I added the gluten free meatballs and yummy. A savory bite. The rigatoni vodka sauce(added sausage) was a hit. Another star of the table was the Linguine w/ Shrimp,Broccoli, Evoo and Garlic. A fully loaded plate. The Gnocchi w/ Ricotta Cheese Filling, vodka sauce.. added meatballs was another hit. The star of the show was our pizza which resembles a meat lovers with pepperoni, Sopressata and Giardiniera (which is more like a relish and I love). I've had other dishes but after multiple countless visits this is what I love at this time. The pizza is cooked in a high heat oven which gives the perfect char, let it settle for a couple minutes as it sits on the table. Overall, when in this part of Illinois hands down the place to be. Hours are only 4-9pm and that says a lot. My only insight would be ask for the bread to be served warm. I'm sure a fresh loaf in the pizza oven for a couple of minutes will go a long way. ENJOY!
