We had such an amazing experience thanks to our waitress, Amayah! From the moment we were seated, she brought such a warm, positive energy to our table. She was incredibly attentive without being overbearing -- our drinks were always refilled, our food came out perfectly timed, and she checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was great. What really stood out was her genuine friendliness. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does. She made great menu recommendations and was super knowledgeable. Even during a busy rush, she stayed calm, professional, and made us feel like we were her top priority. Great place to eat lunch/dinner, but in person! We always have a great time and reserve ahead of time. We ordered take out and bought their dozen break but it was burnt or overcooked. Mother's Day dinner was a pure shit show with this place. We knew it'd be busy so we ordered "to go" from the app. First issue: the app does not take orders over $125. We're a big family so I ended up splitting it into 3 orders. Second issue: because I split the order, an item 3 members wanted kept going out of stock. The prime rib 16oz then the 14oz then the 12oz (only 2 of the 3 went thru on the order). Third issue: I went a few minutes just before the "scheduled" pickup time to pay the orders (app only took Apple Pay, giftcard, or pay at pickup). At this point I haven't gotten a call or text about my order. It's my turn up to the counter ("to go" pickup is outside) and ask about any possible available prime rib and she says they're out. I figure ok at least we got the 2 for the to-go order. I informed her that I have 3 to-go orders from the app. She goes to check on the orders and returns to inform me that they are COMPLETELY out of prime rib and had cancelled them from one of the orders. So basically 2 family members weren't getting dinner. ME being one of them. On mf MOTHER'S DAY! I kept my cool and proceeded to order dinner replacements. At this point we were 20min past the "scheduled" pickup time of 7:45pm and the orders still weren't ready. I asked the gal if I had ordered in the morning for pickup for dinner, would that have guaranteed the prime rib? She flat out said "Nope. We run out whenever we run out." Basically the app does not match up to their inventory and they don't hold anything for online/app orders. It's all first-come-first-served regardless of when you order. In other words the app is useless. Fourth issue: It seemed we had finally gotten the orders straight. All combined orders totaled over $300. I asked if I could get a discount since they cancelled part of my order without letting me know. They gave me my $12 appetizer free. I asked if I could get 10% off since the replacement dinners were more. About another $10 off. I thought whatever $22 off and still paid over $300 combined. Fifth issue: I asked how long for the order with the replacement steaks and she said should be quick about 20-30min. That seemed quick for how busy they were. So I waited. Not that I had a choice. 45 MINUTES LATER... Our food is finally ready and I'm still composed. I am at the counter and get the 3 huge bags. I start looking through them to try and make sure I have everything cause again it was multiple orders and I live 25-30min away. It was 9pm and so I'm trying to quickly go through the bags. Half the containers are soggy and cold. I think these might have been ready when I got there, but they're wanted me to wait until everything was ready. During the chaos the gal behind the counter asks me to move over cause they're backed up so she can help the next person. I tell her "I waited. They can wait." The lighting outside sucks. I can barely make out what's in each container. She again tells me to move to the side. I'm annoyed at this point and say "Ma'am I'll move when I'm ready." She calls over some shift mgr and tells her I won't move. That B of a mgr slams the window shut. At that point I was like F it. There's not enough room or light for me to check everything so I leave. Last issue: of course a bunch of sides are missing and some made incorrectly. By the time we tally up the damage the place was closed and no one is answering the phone. Cold, soggy food. Unhappy family. And a pissed off mom... on Mother's Day. I usually genuinely like Texas Roadhouse. Food is good. Service is ok, but yesterday they were crap through and through. Longtime Customer Extremely Disappointed - Food Safety Concerns I rarely write negative reviews, but after tonight's experience I feel compelled to warn others. I've been a loyal customer since 2013 and have always enjoyed the food and service here, which makes these recent visits even more disappointing. Tonight's Issues (New Year's Eve): Both steaks were severely undercooked despite ordering medium. Even after microwaving mine for 2.5 minutes, it was still excessively rare and inedible. My son's fried fish was raw in the center and had to be thrown away. Missing condiments: no ranch dressing, no sour cream for baked potato and salad Caesar salad container was nearly empty Pattern of Problems (Last 3 Visits): This is the third consecutive disappointing experience. Previous issues included: Received 10oz steak when I paid for 16oz Received 14oz steak when I paid for 20oz Consistently missing items from orders Food Safety Concern: Undercooked steak and raw fish are serious food safety issues. I'm genuinely concerned about potential foodborne illness from the bites I took before realizing how undercooked the meat was. Bottom Line: After giving multiple chances and making several complaints, I've lost confidence in the quality and consistency of takeout orders. The only items that were acceptable tonight were the dinner rolls. It seems like dine-in customers receive better attention than pickup orders. I'm disappointed to say I won't be returning. I rarely write reviews, but what I recently learned about how a family with autistic children was treated at this location was disturbing enough that people should know. A close friend of mine has twin non-verbal autistic children. After a small family getaway they stopped here for dinner. Anyone familiar with autism understands that crowded environments and long waits can easily overwhelm kids who experience the world differently. The waiting area was packed, and one of the children became overstimulated and began having a meltdown. Instead of showing patience or compassion, the manager, Patrick Fink, reportedly demanded that the family leave because the child was "bothering other customers." A family caring for two non-verbal autistic children tried to have dinner, and when one child became overwhelmed in a crowded waiting area, the response from management was essentially "leave." Families raising special-needs children already face enormous challenges just trying to participate in everyday life. Restaurants that serve the public should understand that not every child processes noise, crowds, or waiting the same way. A little empathy costs nothing. What makes this situation even more troubling is that when the family later contacted corporate to express their concerns, the situation reportedly escalated into a legal dispute. From what I understand, this has created the possibility of serious consequences for the father. He's the sole provider for a household that includes two non-verbal autistic children and a stay-at-home mother. The potential fallout of something that began with a child having a meltdown in a crowded waiting area could be devastating for that family. Businesses show their true character in how they treat people when situations are inconvenient. Compassion should not be optional, especially toward families already carrying an incredibly heavy load. There are plenty of restaurants where families with special-needs children are treated with patience and dignity. Based on what I've learned about this incident, this location does not appear to be one of them. read more

Very bust night. I reserved a table ahead via their online system and when I arrived the paid they could not find my rereservation even I showed them the text. They still honored it but had to wait 10 to 20 minutes. The onion appetizer could be fresher. The steak was good, as usual. Grilled shrimps weerr tasty. My wife and I have loved coming to Texas Roadhouse since it's opened in Tracy, forget the 'crappy parking situation' and 'No reservations' so you won't have to stand around and wait for a table. But the last 3 visits our steaks weren't cooked correctly (that never happened for 12 years), order/food came out wrong, even their usually great service has changed (noticed major people turnover)....but the WORST BY FAR is seeing DOGS in the Restaurant laying there with the phony Service Sweater's on, while people are eating! So today, LAST STRAW FOR US, we get seated, and the table next to us there is a little 'lap-dog' sitting in the seat next to a lady...ON THE SEAT WHERE PEOPLE DINE. We had dinner this afternoon and the place was wildly busy for 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon. That being said the service was very good. Our Server came by numerous times to check on us. My husband had a New York steak that was cooked medium instead of medium rare. He did not opt for another steak that was offered. They did take his meal off the tab. I had a rack of ribs that I throughly enjoyed. I took home two thirds because no possible way I could finish. There were approximately eight tables that were completely empty. I waited almost 10 minutes before someone even came up to my table and asked me for something to drink. 97° outside day to thirst, I asked for water and then the server was standing there, trying to sign into their order taking device and couldn't login. I told them about extremely thirsty. I was and he continued to login at this point I got up and asked to speak with the manager. This one person said she was a manager. She offered to asked me reload me to another table. Is it absolutely not I asked for the district manager's contact information, and she said she would go get the business card. Then another so-called manager came up to me and apologized and commented. She knew how long I was sitting there because she observed me looking frustrated and told me that there was not the owner's business information available I asked for the district manager not the owner's name. OK, I know I'm old. I say this because the last time I went to Texas Roadhouse in Tracy, CA, was 2015, and I had the most wonderful experience. The potato skins were real potato skins, cooked with sizzling bacon, topped with sour cream, melted cheese, and green onions. The steak was long, fibrous strands of meat, seared to perfection and seasoned well that would melt in your mouth like hot ice cream on an Indiana Summer, and a dessert-sized large and in charge. I shared, begrudgingly, with my wife and kids. Texas Roadhouse gave us a place to eat, inexpensively, surrounded by people who worked hard for their money and spent it wisely, dining out amongst the peanut shells that covered the floor Another reason I know I'm old is that the Texas Roadhouse I knew before COVID no longer exists in Tracy. I'm not knocking the restaurant's current state, but it's not what I remember it being. My wife and I went to this location before a concert. The staff was great, although very young, and the restaurant was packed with families who seemed to have a good time. No matter how they were seated. When we were sitting down, I noticed Texas Roadhouse was adorned with trinkets, as if it were a going-out-of-business Applebee's, with splashes of uncoordinated advertising everywhere. It seems that more money was spent getting me to consume more overpriced drinks than was invested in the original concept of providing good food. So let us begin with the food: the potato skins were just potato skins, with tiny potato, cheese, sour cream, chives, or bacon bits, and they were not seasoned and arrived at the table lukewarm. The skins were neither crisp. The cheese wasn't melted, and it looked like someone had misplaced bacon bits on it. There was a tiny potato in the potato skins; it seemed they had scooped it out to add to the instant potatoes they served with my steak. The next thing we had was the Caesar salad, with a homemade dressing that lacked flavor and pepper. The shavings of cheese look like thin strands of mozzarella, white mozzarella, not aged Parmesan, which has a deeper yellow color because it's not aged at all. I never had a salad, but this was very bland When my steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli arrive, let me say this. There was some water-oil mixture sitting at the bottom of the small bowl of broccoli, which was so salty. I think it elevated my blood pressure. The potatoes, as I stated earlier, look like a combination of 10% real potato and 90% instant mashed potatoes. The steak, however, was cooked well, but I tasted no seasoning, no salt, no pepper on the outside, and it didn't really have a nice sear. The scariest thing of them all was my sweet potato. This sweet potato was one of the smallest I have ever seen, and it came with a side of oil-based gelatin caramel that moved like a little blob in a glass. It was horrifying to consume; even the iced tea I drank had very little tea or sweetness. The brownie I had for dessert was a nice serving size, but it was more cake-like than a rich, fudgy brownie you'd find in Texas. The cake was so dry that the melting ice cream on top did not add moisture to this brownie. This meal was truly disappointing, but as I said before, I'm old, and I expect much from life as I had it when I expected much from this restaurant, and I know times have changed since the days when Mr. Kent Taylor started it. I guess just since Dave Thomas sold his interest in Texas Roadhouse, things have changed because the company is now so publicly owned, and as a famous economist always told me, it's the three-legged stool: you cannot have quality, speed, and cost balance when people are about profit. I thank Texas Roadhouse for many good years of service and its commitment to veterans everywhere. But as we get older, everything changes. read more

First off the food was excellent. Perfectly cooked Filets. Service was good until we complained about a child screaming bloody murder. Asked us if we wanted to talk to the manager. Came to this restaurant on a late Saturday afternoon. We waited about 10 minutes to get seated, and our server was very attentive. He took our order right away and checked in on us multiple times to make sure everything was okay. If you've been here before than you know the cinnamon butter bread rolls are the star of the show. I'm headed to the Bay Area thru Tracy with my work crew for an assignment and I thought I'd treat them to a steakhouse dinner at Texas Roadhouse. I've had good dinners in the past at other locations and there's not a Cattlemen's around, so this will do. I called in in advance to "get in line" for a table. That way, there's not much waiting at the door. We get a table for 5 with a quite bubbly server. Those soft puffy buttery breads are out at the table right away. Waters are served first. Looking over the menu, I decide on the Rib Eye Steak. I told them to order whatever they wanted, this is on the company! Most ordered steaks and one person ordered the full rack of ribs. The other girl ordered the half rack of ribs. We all got Caesar salads with our meals. One of the filet Mignon had onions all smothered over it. Everyone liked their meals and my steak was cooked as ordered, so I'm happy with that. Service was super friendly as usual here at Texas Roadhouse. The noise level wasn't too loud as it can be at these places sometimes. All n all a good time was had by all. read more

We come to Texas Roadhouse pretty often. Last stop we made in there was last Friday night the 31st. Val was our server and gave us exceptional service, she was on top of everything. She made sure we weren't missing anything, got our order correct, checked in on us, & we had a perfect meal that night. I like how you can pick out your steak from the meat display in the front area where you wait to be seated. They have plenty of cuts to choose from, & the steaks are always cooked right to how you've ordered them. You gotta be careful with the bread not filling you up, and appetizers too. You can also sub one of your sides for a salad too. We're usally too full for dessert by the time you've tackled your meal. Texas Roadhouse is consistent though with their food quality and service, but the service by Val this night was A+ for sure. read more

Even though I am a TXRH shareholder, so I am being kind, but sorry, gotta give you a three. Why? One reason: SALT! OMG, I haven't tasted this much salt since I went to Ocean Beach and got caught in an undertow. The service was great. The prices, okay. The portions, again, great. And my rib eye ... SALTY. I could tell that behind that SALT was a good, tasty, steak, trying to break free, but holy sh*t I have never tasted so much SALT. My wife's grilled shrimp--same thing. I had an amazing experience here with my server. He has short hair. He was a very polite and even offered to wipe my face for me with my napkin when my hands were full. I never could've imagined kindness like this still existed but it does! As far as Texas Roadhouses go, this Tracy location was great. Packed crowds, good service, and good food. The bread with cinnamon butter was my favorite- we asked for two extra baskets to take home. The Caesar salad was great and I would ask for the chicken tenders on top next time. The baked potato was another favorite- skin was salted really well and loaded with toppings...ask for extra butter! Rattlesnake bites weren't my favorite but my boyfriend's family loved them (preferred the ranch over the Cajun dip), along with the chili cheese fries. Now for the main event...the ft. worth ribeye. It was cooked perfectly medium-rare but wasn't as seasoned as I expected. The Texas Roadhouse branded steak sauce was delicious but I remembered TR's steaks to be better salted so that was disappointing to me. We also got a brownie for dessert that was very dry. My favorite things about Texas Roadhouse is there bread + cinnamon butter and their to-go pick up window. Because it's so popular, the parking lot is usually full, and wait time can be so long. I recommend just ordering online and bringing it home. The only thing I would add is a covered area near the pick-up window to protect from the sun and rain. Been awhile since I've gone to a TRH and was in the area. Came for lunch last Saturday. 1st of all peanuts now come in a bag!? Got seated right away off to a good start. No bread..uh oh. Server came for our drinks right away but still no bread. Our drinks were brought out by a runner...still no bread. Waitress came back to take our order and we had to ask for bread. Bread finally arrived and it was barely warm. Ordered some apps and they were almost inedible. Potato skins so dry and yet greasy. Boneless buffalo chicken with no buffalo on them and super dried out. Deep fried pickle coins the only saving grace on the plate. My friend ordered a salad and I ordered the smothered chicken with a baked potato and a salad. I never got my salad. Our meals came out and my friends salad looked good my smothered chicken did not. The gravy was so oily it was separating on the plate. I took a bite of the mushrooms and they were so salty there was no way I could eat them. Our waitress was AWESOME. When I told her the apps were not good and the main was oily and salty and that I didn't get my salad. She asked if I wanted it remade. I didn't, I had lost my appetite at that point so I just asked for the salad. Bummer since I was looking forward to the smothered chicken. The manager did take the app and chicken off the bill but never came by. It will probably be awhile before I venture out to any THR in the future. We went on a Saturday afternoon after watching our Granddaughter play Baseball. It was 2:00 and we were surprised at how busy it was. We didn't care! we still went! My husband had Chicken and I had the Ribs. We both couldn't eat everything And so we brought it home and had it for a wonderful dinner. They loaded us up with extra buns for home!! We spent $60 and it was well worth it. Two meals for sixty dollars is pretty darn good ! Wonderful service didn't have to wait too long.. We will definitely go back again and again.And again. 2/28/24- I haven't been here in about two years and decided to drive down from the neighboring city of Stockton. We have some steakhouses but they are on the upper scale and we have one on the lower scale. Texas Roadhouse sits somewhere in between!!!! Anyway, the place was crowded as usual and I was a lone dinner. I was shown to my table and was given a menu and some fresh out of the oven rolls and that delicious cinnamon butter!!! I ordered a hurricane, and a steak & barbecue chicken combo meal. My two sides were the house salad with avocado and bacon bites and a loaded yam. While waiting for my dinner I sipped on my refreshing Hurricane with the added topper. I felt that added punch too, but thank God I was going to get some delicious hot food in my system as this was my first and only meal. Treating myself because I had to have a much needed procedure done and it was a success!!!! My meal came to be just what I thought it to be $49+!!! That was great!!! I drove home feeling blessed!!! There were at least three birthdays celebrated while I was eating. I had to ask for a to-go box. I knew that was going to be lunch the next day. read more
