I decided to get a sirloin and cooked medium and it was perfect but I was so full from the pickles and salad I ended up having to take a lot of it home. The food is pretty good...if you can actually get a table. The problem with this restaurant is that they misquote the wait time. I don't eat here often, and before I even get to the table I always remember why that is. They might tell you that the wait time is 20-30 minutes and it ends up being an hour wait! So much time has passed that to leave would just be a hassle so you are stuck. I'm not sure if this is a tactic to get more people to stay, but I will never return. The outback on riverside is better food and they won't lie to you to keep you in the restaurant. Skip this place and go to outback instead! read more

We had a GREAT experience at the 71st St & 169 Texas Roadhouse in Tulsa last night, Saturday, April 4, 2020 during the "safer at home" lockdown due to the Coronavirus. My wife wanted to "go out" for dinner after cooking at home each night for the last 3 weeks, which, we both knew meant "carryout." We had a previous great experience at this same restaurant a couple of months ago. The food was good and the price was very reasonable then. For THIS most recent experience, I downloaded their app, ordered from it Saturday morning for a 5:45 PM pickup the same day and when I arrived to pick it up a few minutes BEFORE 5:45 PM (obviously they ONLY have pickup at this time due to SARSCoV2), they were very well organized. With about 15-20 cars already in the parking lot, a young man brought our order to the car, placed it in the back seat and I was out of there about 5:48 PM. Since I had paid online at the same time that I placed the order, there was absolutely no exchange of money or ANYTHING which is GREAT at this time with the SARSCoV2. When I arrived home, the order was 100% correct and the food was still warm and excellent, again, at a very reasonable fee. About the only thing that was a minor glitch was that I had tried to to order our dinner the Friday night before, for the Saturday night pickup, but their app would not let me advance to the next day...it would not let me get past Friday, April 3. That was not a big deal since I just waited until Saturday morning to order. Overall it was a great experience. read more

I got a cashback gift card to Roadhouse because of great reviews about decently priced food with great service. That was not what I got. My entire meal was rushed and my server only stopped by the table once for a re-fill. To start my salad came out before my appetizer of fried pickles. The salad was so dripping wet with dressing it was inedible, the croutons were soggy before even getting to the table. The fried pickles weren't bad but I barely got to eat them before my entree arrived. My first bit of loaded potatoes was so crunchy I thought the bacon bits were rocks. The flavor of the steak and its tenderness was a saving grace from the salad and potatoes. But with such poor-rushed service I just took my steak home. Not very happy. And I have the rest of my gift card to spend; wish I could spend it somewhere else. read more

I was in Tulsa visiting my brother and he insisted on taking me here when I told him I wanted a good steak. I should have known better as it didn't have good Yelp reviews. I wanted to go to Longhorn but my brother insisted Roadhouse was better. This was one of the WORST steaks I've ever had! First the fried onion appetizer we got was left in the fryer too long. I ordered a New York strip medium rare. What I got was a super dry overcooked piece of meat. I ordered it with fries and "fresh" vegetables. What I got was some out of the bag frozen carrots and broccoli. I was even more pissed as this was the only good meal I had time to enjoy while I was out there and it was terrible. Me and my fiancé often come to this steakhouse to celebrate the little things in life and most often we get great service and great food but tonight was a major let down. We are very disappointed in Texas Roadhouse tonight. We both order steaks, my fiancé's first and they got her steak completely wrong and our waitress wouldn't stop at our table long enough neither would any of the other staff members for us to ask for it to be fixed. Very poor service and very poor food service. Both of our steaks were not done correctly and of all things the buttered corn my fiancé ordered was terrible. We didn't even eat half of our food and took it home only to feed the dogs instead of wasting our money, that is pretty sad. Major let down Texas Roadhouse. Steak was cooked to order, however my friend and I were there later in the evening. A group of young people came in and we're sedated near us. First, I have never said "I want a steak, let's go to texas roadhouse". Second I'm traveling so I go where it is convenient and has beer. That said, texas roadhouse is great at what they do. It is the walmart of steakhouses. The food is quick, consistent and relatively cheap. Tonight the bartenders were very good at keeping me entertained and with a full beer. Food is well about average, and beer was cold and my mug didn't get empty. This review is good for pretty much any texas roadhouse you visit. When on the road, and one is close to the hotel, and I am not interested in traveling too far they are good for a quick dinner and a few drinks. read more

I really could not believe the service I received at the Texas Roadhouse. I absolutely love Texas Roadhouse and have been going there for years. A friend and I went a little before Christmas. It was pretty crowded so we decided to sit at the bar top. We were greeted by two ladies that seemed to be very busy and "irritated" that we were sitting at the bar. They did not talk to us like the talked to the male customers and gave us way less service. I felt like I was at Twin Peaks or Hooters the way they were treating us vs the males that were sitting at the bar.I was so angry I didn't ask for anything additional I just wanted to leave. The best rolls in Tulsa. I eat the 16 oz sirloin, it's awesome. I recommend getting it medium rare. Add an order of mushrooms to cover it and you will have it again. I've had the ribeye and porterhouse but I always go back to the sirloin, it's thick and well aged. My wife likes the prime rib and salad. It's loud, busy and crowded, The peanuts are everywhere. read more

Good food, good atmosphere! This is one of my family's favorite places to eat! Wait staff is very good and has always taking good care of us. This is no a place to go for a quiet, semi romantic evening. They are alway packed (45 minute wait is very common) and it also very loud with people talking and laughing. Awesome to go with friends and family and small parties. The best value on the menu is the sirloin kabobs with rice, portion is huge and steak is great! I recommend this for a fun evening! read more

I really like the food here! I don't think we have ever had a bad experience here! I do advise this: forget the pager and ask to sit at the bar! Every time we have done this we have had a table in under 15 minutes! My steak is always the way I like it. The bread is is always hot and tasty. The food never takes long to come out either. You can't really fault this place can you? Oh and prices are decent too, my steak is $15 or less! We often have a few drinks and steaks and get out of here for around $50. This was worst dining experience of my life!! I had asked to go here for my birthday, so my family drove an hour and 15 minutes to take me. After we had been on the road for a while. I decided that I would call ahead to make our wait time shorter once we actually arrived. When I went to check in they couldn't find our call in confirmation. They told me I must have called the hillside location and tried to send us over there. As I am not familiar with that location I asked to be put on the list at the location I was already at. They put me on the list and handed me a pager. I went outside so that I could call the call ahead line back and cancel my name on the list. But when I went to do so I found out that I hadn't called hillside after all, that I had in fact called the location I was at. For some reason they put the manager on the phone instead of sending her out to talk to me. She said she wouldn't investigate what had happened at that time but she would flag my name and my call ahead time would be honored. I thanked her and waited. An hour and 10 minutes later we were still waiting. At that point I took my pager and went to the check-in to see how much longer our wait would be as they obviously didn't honor my call ahead time. The attendant couldn't find my name or my pager number at all. Apparently when the manager "marked" my name, she had in fact deleted it! At that point the three attendants got in a huddle and kept looking back at me as the spoke. A few minutes later the main attendant came to me and asked me to wait there. She said there had been a mixup and they were clearing a table for me right then. I should have left right then and I wish I would have. But I let them seat us. We put our order in and thought everything was fine. However, when our salads came my son found a french fry in his salad. How did they miss that when they were mixing in Caesar dressing? We pushed our salads away. Then our steaks arrived.... the two "well done" steaks were very pink and my husbands "medium- well" steak was rare. We would have sent them back but we were worried what they would do to it and just wanted to leave. Also my oldest son never received his side item but who is surprised now? We communicated with our waitress about these issues the entire time but the manager never would come speak with us. She just sent messages back with the waitress. Then to top it all off, one of my kids have been sick this morning from it. I am never eating her again. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always great and the service is excellent. We had Brittany this evening and she is an awesome waitress. The manager came around and checked on us and apologized for how long our food took even though we didn't think it took that long. My only complaint is the wait. You have to get here at the right time or you'll have a two hour wait but that's because the food and service is so much better compared to other restaurants. read more

We called ahead for a big party, then when 11/14 people were there, they refused to seat us because the entire party wasn't there. Then, when all 14 people were there (right on time), they made us wait for 45 minutes, saying "5 more minutes" the whole time. We finally left. They kept seating other people and not saving tables for our big party. They gave us coupons when we left but that doesn't make up for an hour of nonsense. read more

Went to obtain the usual Veterans Day dinner and was pleasantly surprised to see that they offered nine selections from their regular menu, and as a result lines were formed inside and out waiting to get in. After a very short wait I was seated at the bar. The service there was faster and more attentive than in the dining area. My choice of meal was promptly served hot, complete, and ready to eat within seven minutes. I will return for future meals based on service I received.
