I hardly ever write reviews, but we are more than frustrated. We have given this restaurant chain multiple chances and at multiple locations. When the food is cooked to our order, it is great. However, that has happened only a couple of times. We repeatedly get food that is either overcooked or looks and tastes absolutely unappetizing. Today was the last time we will be ordering from this restaurant. We ordered a steak medium rare, and it came well done. The side of mac and cheese came with cheese on the top noodles only and no cheese on the bottom noodles. Yes, we could stir it all around and mix it up, but after doing this for multiple times, we have just had enough. Today was a to go order but we still have these same problems when we dine in. The legendary Texas Roadhouse customer service failed tonight at this location and I am beyond disappointed. Ordered take out and 30 minutes past my pick up time and after several calls, got my food but was treated with attitude by the manager. The only redeeming grace is that their guest relations took my complaint serious and submitted a refund. That said, this location has lost my business thanks to the unbelievable actions/treatment of one manager. Still great food though and would visit other locations! read more

Texas Roadhouse- West Bountiful I don't post reviews but this one needs to get mentioned. My family and I decided to go to Texas Roadhouse after an event in Farmington. As we headed south on I-15 I checked the wait at west bountiful. It said 0-10 minutes. I checked in on the waitlist regardless and got the acknowledgment text. As we pulled into the parking lot and were there, I text "here" to the messaging system, and didn't get an acknowledgment back. We walked inside and told the hostess that we were there and she checked us in. After we were "checked in" we waited 16 minutes before being called over to the line queue. We waited in the line queue for just over 10 minutes. As we waited in the queue my daughter got an upset stomach and so she went to the restroom, the rest of the party was seated. Our waiter came over and acknowledged us and I told him our drinks and appetizer. That came out quick. My daughter came out of the restroom and told us that she wasn't feeling well so we decided to order our food to go. It took our waiter 11 minutes to come back over and take our order, I told him my daughter wasn't feeling well and we needed a quick to go order. When he took our order I started off with my wife's salad and gave very specific instructions that it HAD to be gluten free with no croutons. Then I ordered both my daughter's food, and then my food - loaded mashed potatoes as 1 of the sides. We ordered our food at 9:06pm after getting on the wait list at 8:18pm. I sat at the table and paid for our meal, and even left a generous 15% tip for my waiter and the inconvenience of our party. We waited for our meal until 9:45!!!! It took 40 minutes to get a to go order, when they knew I had a sick child in the car waiting. My waiter came over and said "sorry they messed up your fillet and had to recook it, it'll be right out." Once it finally came out, I headed out in a hurry and didn't take the time to inspect all the food, which yes I know is my mistake, but after my waiter saying they had corrected the mistakes already and being there for 1-1/2 hours I was frustrated and in a hurry to leave. When we got back to our hotel in Draper and opened our meals, my wife's salad had croutons all over mixed in it. So she couldn't eat any of it. My "loaded mashed potatoes" that were an extra charge were only mashed potatoes. For my "to go order" being $85, taking 1-1/2 hours and completely wrong to where my wife couldn't even eat hers, I would think we deserve some sort of compensation for the mistakes and there should be some sort of repercussions for the individual responsible. I get it that mistakes happen, but for it not even being busy (0-10min wait time) , and I gave specific instructions about allergies, this is unacceptable. read more

Food was great. Yes me and my fiancé were called last even though we made a reservation really early before we came. Waitress sent anyone to our table but herself and we ordered a lot a lot for just two people. My fiancé always tips no matter what and we tip good for what we make. If you are colored just don't go here you will get looks and it's just not worth the disgrace and disrespect from ignorant people I will not recommend this to our brown or black brothers and sisters. Disappointed in my experience at TRH tonight. My steak came out and it was well done when I asked for medium rare. Our server was nice and took it back but barely apologized and I waited for my steak for 15 minutes after they took it back. Everyone else in the party was done eating. i'm not one to rate anyone about anything, but my experience here at Texas Roadhouse was horrible. I went in at 4:30pm, early, and at 5:45pm was still waiting for my food. No one asked me how I was doing, no one paid attention, I asked for my food to go. I got a to go container with 3 ugly pieces of shrimp, an overdone steak, and french fries that I had to cook more to make edible. Today we decided to give it another chance and the hostess was awful (Can't remember her name but it started with an M). The wait was long, I ended up waiting for about the hour and a half when I decided to go back in and check out how much longer it would be and she said rudely, another 15 mins. Another sweet girl said I can sit you now. I only gave the 4 stars today because our server "Carla" was the best server we had ever had at this location and the food was good today. Ventured into Texas Roadhouse since it's one of only a handful of restaurants near our house open on Sundays. We got seated quickly and the server was great on the beginning. Absolutely loved the bread that was served with the cinnamon butter. Sooooo good. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and I appreciated how filling it was and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked! Such a big salad I took home half! Fiancé ordered 11oz sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes and salad. He loved the potatoes and the steak was cooked well just not anything special. Not expecting high end type steaks so it was decent for location and price. I ordered the Kenny's Cooler but it tasted like it was all sweet and sour mix. I could barely drink it. I had two sips and pushed it aside. I was a little bothered that the server never came back to check or notice that I want drinking it. I would have ordered a different drink but by the time he came back I was almost done with my meal. Food was good, service ok just not anything fantastic to write home about. This location has the best service and the food is consistently good and they have not raised their prices like most other restaurants have had to do. I can get a healthy meal with great service warm bread with honey butter for less than the cost of some fast food places around. They don't take reservations but have call ahead seating and if you have the app it takes seconds to get added to the wait list. I rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes. As an added bonus you can get a beer or glass of wine at a very reasonable price which can be difficult in this town. Always a winner. Especially when your hungry. Great family atmosphere, lots of dinning and friendly staff. Be sure to arrive early. When your table is ready they great you with hot home made buns and honey. They are to die for. I've never had a bad steak or salad and the have Childrens menu's too. We have been a little desperate due to the Plandemic. We order for pickup and then stand in line to pick up our order. You order blind for pick up and you never know what you're getting. Inconsistency seems to be a serious problem. Thick and juicy or thin and dry. I really wish they would improve their take out policies and make an extra point in making the orders the way they would for themselves or lovers. read more

That's exactly what the new party got within one minute of walking in and asking for the wait time. Multiple parties left because you did this. You looked right in my eye wondering if I noticed what you did. Oh I noticed. Food is good, competitive pricing, fresh made rolls are amazing. Servers are good, but management seem very quiet and really involved.

I ordered to go, a total of five meals, and we requested an extra order of rolls. We only received four rolls to split between our five meals. In addition the sirloin we ordered cooked medium was well done to the point of being dry, and the filet we ordered well done was cooked medium rare, and was bloody. To top it all off, we ordered three fully loaded potato sides, and received enough toppings only for two. The waitress was more worried about a fundraiser group and their service rather than bothering to pay attention to even what we were ordering. I had mentioned that we were celebrating 3/5 of our parties birthdays and it was completely disregarded. We were running late when we came to eat dinner. They seated us on time and got our appetizers and drinks out exceptionally fast. The down side was that they burned our cheese fries. The bacon was blackened and the cheese was to solid to break apart the way melted cheese should. I ordered the prime rib with sautéed mushrooms and onions. My onions were not cooked enough and my mushrooms were burned. The fries were perfect. The kids meals were hamburgers and chicken fingers and they were perfect. My wife loved her chicken. As always my favorite was the deep fried onion. I might have maybe eaten 2/3 of the onion myself. All of this happened so quickly that we made it to our next appointment with twenty minutes to spare. Which is less than an hour to wait for a table to happily leaving. Sure not all of the food was perfect but they did a great job overall and our server was amazing. I keep going to all these restaurants lately that are just falling apart. This place is not that way. They are staffed and their employees seem to want to be there. We went to the bountiful location 3 times last year and either had bad food or service. We then tried their takeout and they forgot items on our order (my bad that we didn't check our order before heading home). Today we decided to give them one more try. The food was good but the service was terrible. For example after a 50 minute wait on a Tuesday night we got seated. Then it took 20 minutes to get are salads which were sat on the table but not served by any meaning of the word. We then received our food about 5 minutes later so while we finished our salads our food got cold. I could go on but I think you get the idea. We won't be back to the bountiful store again read more

So my last Texas Roadhouse was a disaster. This is refreshing to know that this one in West Bountiful is 180°the other way. Bar service is very good here with the servers introducing themselves. Beer is cold, wine is alright so there is a good mix Food : Steaks were cooked to my liking, loaded baked potato was awesome. Rubbed with kosher salt on the outside before cooked. ..Who does that? And she was unapologetic. 2. The 50 year old waiter didn't know what vodka was when we ordered a vodka soda. We literally had to explain what it was. REALLY?! 3.
