I ordered a cheeseburger my husband ordered wings he said they were really good. There was music playing which I loved the service was fast. I ordered a classic margarita which was amazing. I would come back

Disappointing kitchen closed at 10:25 but weiner mobile sighting was epic!!!

So, came to watch the end of the Thursday night game and grab a drink. Unfortunately, they were out of simple syrup, so no Old Fashioned. Which is fine, just got some Garrison Brothers, neat. But, disappointing that at 10:25, the kitchen was closed even though they are open till midnight. Will skip next time I am in the Galleria. Only saving grace, the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile parked at the Embassy Suites! How fun is that!!!!

Went to Texas tap house recently for some food and drinks with a friend. We were just visiting the area and wanted a chill place to watch the game. Based on the pictures online, Texas tap house seemed like it would be a great spot. It was pretty big with lots of table and bar seating, large screen and multiple tvs to watch the game. All was true however, once we got there it was pretty empty and we were surprised. But nonetheless figured we'd give it a shot. The waiter, was very nice but informed us they did not receive their latest food delivery so they had a scarce menu. With that being said we did not receive a menu at all, instead he listed the items we could choose from. Went with tacos, however, before we could ask what the specifics of the orders would come with he was gone. I got the veggie tacos which were okay, no real flavor except that comes from the Sautéed veggies. My friend got the chicken tacos and mentioned the meat was a bit tough. Maybe the food is better on days where they have all the ingredients they need. The service was not great, not attentive at all, once we were served our food, we didn't see the waiter back at table again, for a very long time instead the staff seemed to be hanging out with friends or familiar customers most of the night. But one good thing about this place was they had a great selection of local beers on tap and drinks available to choose from. The waiter was great and helpful with helping us figure out which local beer would best suit our taste.

Farm House Burger with a Long Island Ice Tea

The farm house burger with a fried egg (hard) was one of the best I have had in a long time. Long island ice tea did the job. (Iykyk) It's a sports bar feel.

Visited this establishment tonight. The only thing they had for food were wings. Nothing else material the place was dead.

Vic was friendly, beer was cold, and wings were dynamite. Promote that guy and give him some help when it gets busy.

Terrible service and the music was too loud. I felt was in a club instead of a bar and grill.

As you walk in, you'll be greeted by the 70's/80's/90's bar music of rock/disco and chessboard floor pattern. Then you get your drink order from one of the many pleasant bartenders (or Louie) and sit either inside or outside and think to yourself you're the luckiest person in the world. So they specialize in three things: cocktails/liquors, cigars, and patio seating. When you combine all three of those, it's the perfect bar. Cocktails such as ol fashions and cape cods are plentiful here. I also appreciate they do a new york sour here which is an underrated cocktail. Cigars are sold here too and they have cutters and plenty of torch lighters to spark them up. Outside on their patio deck has plenty of seating with some of those heaters in case you houstonians can't handle the cold. Only gripe is I wish they had a larger wine selection as they only have bordeuax or a red blend. Not sure if they serve white wines either. But there's wine bars for that. You're here for the hard stuff or a quick beer, maybe a cigar, and definitely a peace of mind. That's what keeps me coming back!

There's no bad seat in the house. If you're coming here for any kind of championship sports event, come early and get your seat cause it gets packed. You also avoid waiting in line for ID check. We got there 2-3 hours early, ordered drinks and ordered food from the food trucks. The taco truck's street tacos were so good, but it was a 40-45 minute wait that day...and it was SO HOT out. You get a buzzer, so there's no point in waiting by the truck. Might be quicker on other regular days, though. The burger food truck was quicker, but I wasn't in the mood for it. There's a variety of seating for whatever you prefer - picnic table, iron table, bar table, and cushioned patio lounge chairs. The servers checked in often and brought the drinks out. There's a free water station with cups. Restrooms are down one end. Ironically, on the game day, the women's restroom line moved quicker than the men's! Lol. Great place to hang out and catch a game!

Well, it turns out, there was a World Cup soccer match going on. The place nearly cleared out after the game was over. Anyhow, when the place was packed it was very loud. But once it cleared out, not bad. Upon arrival I learned the hard way that it's open seating. I stood at the entrance for about 5 minutes and then was told to find whatever open seat I could find. We mainly went for drinks but decided "what the heck" and ordered food. The buffalo wings were good but not great. Same with the Marinara pizza. I was impressed with the size and the crust was pretty good. I suggest adding jalapeños to it. We also ordered a sushi roll (who knew you could order that and they just get it from Sushi on Post Oak next door). That roll was pretty good but also very pricey. Overall, pretty good experience and I'll be back. Parking lot is also large with plenty of spaces which I appreciate.

Happy hour runs 11 to 6, which is a nice window if you're planning ahead. Didn't get a chance to try the food this time, so can't speak to that, but I'd recommend this spot at least for drinks and good company. They've got darts too if you want something to do between matches. Will be back to actually try the menu.

To start out, the concept feels like a blend of accents from other popular bars in the area - the hammock chairs from Axelrad, the Adirondack chairs from Truck Yard, and the string light back patio from 8th Wonder. This blend makes it hard to give the bar a true identity. While they do have a large selection of beers on tap, their cocktail menu leaves me feeling lost. I appreciate the attempt to create unique flavor combinations but the options are just...confusing. For example, mezcal with citrus and prickly pear, or a highball with black currant, tequila and apricot. I'm holding on for dear life with all of these ingredients! Going along for the adventure, I tried their pickle cocktail that was on the menu and it was honestly, terrible. While they do have a happy hour that goes until 8pm, the service this last visit just wasn't the best. The server who helped me told me it was his second day and was clearly struggling to keep up with the cocktail combinations, referencing his phone many times while preparing the drink. I ended up not liking this drink and brought it back to the bar with just one sip gone and rather than offering to make me another drink, they kept it on my bill. Ok, whatever. That being said, just before this happened, the couple in front of me went to pay for their bill, prepared drinks in hand, at 8:02pm and the bartender refused to honor the happy hour prices, just two minutes past the official end time. With these two instances, it seems like the priority is maximizing every dollar of profit rather than investing in the customer experience. Given the number of other original concepts in the area, I would pass.
