After a busy day, we were hungry but didn't feel like leaving the hotel. So we found Thai 2 Go on yelp, and ordered for a delivery. The guy who took the call (probably the owner?) was a little hard of hearing and i had to repeat everything a couple times, including the hotel address (eventhough the hotel is almost around the corner from them!) But no matter, he got the order right (a bit to my surprise!) Took about 50 mins to deliver which is what he said, so good estimate. Everything was packaged well, even the noodle soup and the friend rice was piled into the box tight. Good portions even for delivery. We ordered the crispy shrimp appetizer, the southern thai salad, curry fried rice and thom ka noodle soup with soy duck. Had the thom ka dozens of times (one of my favorite soups) but never as a noodle soup. It was very good and the flat rice noodle went well with the flavors. Curry fried rice was also very good and unique, and had lots of nice-sized shrimp. The crispy shrimp was also still crispy even delivered, probably cos they made small holes in the box -- good attention to important delivery details! Salad was enormous and we couldn't finish it eventhough it was good. $36 for the entire meal + tip, and we left a lot that we couldn't finish, eventhough we were so hungry before. Everything was very good, delivery on time, had all the required utensils (extra even) and napkins for eating in a hotel room. We wished we had ordered this the night before too, just so we couldn't tried other stuff. Will definite revisit on our next trip! read more

The dressing is tangy, the mint, cilantro, tomatoes, lemongrass and onions were fresh and the portion was just right. I'll definitely be dining here again while I'm in Dallas for work. read more

I live right across from this place so I order food for take out all the time. It's a good place to eat for a quick and easy lunch or dinner. The food is tasty, but not anything spectacular if you are a big fan of Thai cuisine. The decor inside is not impressive and somewhat too dark, especially in the evening. If you are looking for top-notch Thai food, I would recommend going elsewhere. It would be fair to say that I really only go to Thai 2 Go because it is a nearby Thai craving satisfaction and won't kill my wallet. Something I have noticed is that the dine-in and take out portions are wildly different. I have dined in twice and both times the portions have been more than enough. However, ordering take out when I'm craving some Pad Thai always ends up being not enough food. What a disappointment when you see your take out order is half the size of your portion last time you dined in. And no, it doesn't cost less. read more

UPDATED: This review is an update on their delivery service. I am still a HUGE fan of their food and would almost give them four stars because it's that good, but their delivery is not to be desired. I work about five minutes away and the order was placed an hour before we needed it. We were told 45 minutes (including delivery) and over an hour later our lunch is still not here. Their staff is helpful in telling us that it was out for delivery; however, not so helpful in getting our food on time (or close to it). It's great to have delivery when you can't escape the office, and this place is still a favorite - just not one I'll order from when I need it quickly. read more

I enjoy the food from there but I do miss the light skin lady that used to work the register she'd always take my order over the phone and provide great service but this new lady they have working as cashier is lazy. She takes forever to pick up the phone and at times pretends to not hear you over the phone and hangs up. I don't think she's trying to work they should definitely get rid of her she's costing them business specially take out orders. Extremely disappointed. Pay over $20 through door dash to get pad kee mow. Ordered hours in advance for noodles with no sauce at all just chili flakes. I have ordered from them before to go and had a good experience but I won't be ordering from them again. The delivery fee through door dash is not the problem. This place is just ok! I go there for lunch because it is close to work and food is fresh. Yesterday took some colleagues along and they were all disapppointed with the food. The basil fried rice did not have enough vegetables or meat. The curry dishes had watery gravies with vegetables but little meat. I got noodles in coconut soup. The flavor was okay but the soup was very watered down. I choked on large slivers of lemon grass which were hard to see with the huge amount of bean sprouts they added to the soup. In fact, the amount of bean sprouts made me wonder if I had ordered bean sprouts in coconut milk! They should remove the lemon grass pieces before serving. Once the falvor is imparted, its job is done I guess! Also it was hard to find, fish out and eat the very wide, flat noodles they used in the soup. Parking can be a problem at lunch time. read more

I work for a large company in the area. This is our go-to Thai place. I ordered a green papaya salad. On the website this is the description: Traditional Thai salad of shredded green papaya, carrots, chilli, crushed peppers, tomatoes, string beans freshly cooked shrimp and lightly roasted peanuts - $6.95 I got the salad. There was no shrimp at all. I called the restaurant just to let them know I was missing my shrimp. The very rude guy that answered said "The website is needing updated for over three years. I've never experienced bad Thai food. My boyfriend is never one to complain about anything but even he wasn't happy. I ordered Tom Kha and he ordered Pad Thai. The Tom Kha tasted like chicken broth and coconut milk. No spices. Barely any chicken. For $9 it was not worth it. The pad Thai had no seasoning in it. It was bland with just noodles. No peanuts. No chicken. I had to add seasonings at home and it still wasn't good. The papaya salad was okay. I definitely won't be going back. Supposedly they open at 11 a.m. but when I went there at 11:06 a.m., they had the OPEN sign on but the door was locked and it was dark inside. At 11:22 a.m. it was still closed. When it comes to the food, Thai2Go always made me feel like I got my money's worth, even if it was a bit costly sometimes. As of lately, the food is still fantastic, but the front staff are painful to talk to. I know everyone is having a hard time right now, and working is not the most fun thing in the world, but damn, I've never met a more unfriendly front staff. Every time I've inquired about items on the menu, i've been met with very irritated responses... Feels like excess interaction or speaking is unwelcome, and they just want customers out of their hair. Over the phone is pretty bizarre as well, I feel like I'm a burden when i'm met with a, "What else do you want", or, "Maybe just cancel your order". Really ugly attitudes at the front, its a shame it had to be a place where I truly love the food. I'm in the restaurant industry as well, and I would never treat customers like this. Thai 2 Go is a go-to lunch spot for me. I've tried everything at this point, but my favorites are the peanut curry, the noodle curry, and the pad Thai (in that order). The peanut sauce is amazing! Try the salad wraps which come with a side of peanut sauce. The (small) dining room can get full at times, so I usually call in my order so that it's ready when I get there. I prefer tofu for my protein, which is a available for most dishes. One minor caution is that a lot of the dishes are heavy with green bell peppers--not my favorite (I prefer red, orange, or yellow). I don't understand the 3.5 rating for Thai 2 Go. Now having said that- I have always customized my order here and I think that's the way you have to go. If you order straight up you may be unimpressed. To me, they have one of the most perfect stir fried noodle dishes around. Here's the complicated order which to me is magic: basil chili noodles. MINCED chicken. Pad Thai noodles instead of the wide (flat) noodles. No onions. Scallions are ok. This is a souped up pad kee mow which is delicious. The thinner noodles are al dente and more flavorful than the wide noodles and the minced chicken gives more surface area than the regular chicken for picking up flavor from the sauxe. It has veggies, delicious flavor. It's just perfect. I'm going a little more vegetarian at times so I'm getting tofu now which isn't as good as the minced chicken but this is still an amazing dish. Their corn patties are nice as well. I've eaten here so many times since they opened and it never gets old and their gigantic lunch crowds are a sign that this clean delicious food is well received. read more

My review is only based on their teas. I went in the restaurant and came out with my drink within 2 minutes max. Even during their highest peak of business, my order came quickly. I ordered the Thai Milk Tea with boba. Trust me when I say their boba was so good!! Awesome consistency. Super chewy and delightful! Also, they only have ONE size, a large size I believe. It's only $2.50 without boba, but an extra $0.50 with boba. Totally worth it, to be honest. I came in thinking my boba would be hard, since they open at 11am and I entered about 45 minutes later. Some places either don't have boba ready to serve close to their opening time, or their boba is cooked badly. But Thai2Go was amazing. The lady who took my order didn't look the nicest, but she did the job. I'm definitely coming back here again for their boba tea. Wow this place is great. Fast service and great food. I'm happy this place upgraded their to-go boxes from styrofoam to the black plastic containers. Most restaurants are starting to carry these. I always order the chicken fried rice with fried egg. Now here is the reason this place gets a 5 STAR. I have had eggs in different ways: boiled, scrambled, poached, sunny-side up, over easy, fried, etc. but never have I had a deep fried over easy egg. My boyfriend bit into a huge piece of plastic while taking a bite of his spring roll. We were absolutely disgusted. I called the restaurant and their remediation was to give us 15% off of our next order. After discussing further, they agreed to refund the approximate $5 for the spring rolls.
