I go here just for Papaya salad but some of their thai dish is pretty decent. Aside from the decent food, their staff is friendly too.

Everything was really good. I loved the food and the waitress was really nice and provided good service. I had the Tom Kha Seafood Soup, Pad Thai, and Papaya Salad. I originally ordered a curry that was a overcooked. She took it back and apologized and offered me something else from the menu. I ordered two orders of garlic short rib to go and she took one off the tab since I didn't like the Panang Curry. Amazing beef sate and BBQ chicken dinner with original Thai BBQ sweet homemade BBQ sauce, just like found at the LA locations. Love it.

My friend and I were planning to get dessert in Union City but decided that we should get food first, so we came to this place! The place was very clean and spacious. She got the pad Thai which looked very pretty and she said it was delicious. I got the "Tom Kar Kai" which was delicious but I wish I had gotten the pad Thai because the Tom Kar Kai was easily enough for an entire family...it was huge!! We both really adored our server who was so friendly and kind to us! Every time she came over, our hearts would melt because of her smile. We look forward to coming back in the future! read more

It is always exciting to find a restaurant with delicious food and excellent service! It was a welcome surprise to walk into a dining room that was nicely decorated and clean! We love our Thai food and hoped Thai BBQ would satisfy our palates. They did not fail to impress! The Pad Thai was delicious; the Chicken Sate was thick and juicy; and the BBQ Chicken had me licking my fingers! We took 2 orders of Pineapple Fried Rice to go for dinner! This place is open late on Sunday's!! Customer service was good. Very attentive for only having one waitress. She was really great and suggestive for entrees. The prices are very reasonable. I got the Thai spring rolls which were OK, and Thai Boat Noodle (not authentic w/ the blood in the soup. I think they don't wanna scare their customers lol) it was just okay, good flavor is the broth and they give you LOTS of meat. My friend got the Pad See Ew with chicken, she said it was okay as well. 5 stars is not enough for this wonderful place!! Their house special beef satay and bbq chicken are delicious!! No other thai place can replicate these. Dishes even come with a yummy shrimp fried rice . The portions are large and prices are very fair. Decor is nice, so good for families or date nights. They also have the most authentic tasting papaya salad ever. I just wish they had bigger portion for the papaya. I have also been to their San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Southern California locations. I really wish I could give this place a 4 or 5 since I really liked it when it first only. SInce then however, I have felt that the food quality has gone down. S1 used to come with more shrimps, however that was scaled down. Pai Thai is normal, nothing of great taste for me to really want to come back. I was excited to discover that they opened another Thai Original BBQ near my house. I've been going to the one in South SF in the past. I ordered my usual which were crispy duck dinner & Pad Thai. To my disappoint, the crispy duck is a lot smaller than the one they serve @ SSF. Granted it's about $1 cheaper, I'd rather get 30% more meat. I guess I will have to make my drive to SF if I crave for crispy duck. read more

We were actually looking for a franchise of Thai BBQ here in the bay for months since after our auntie treated us out in Los Angeles. We were so happy when this place opened up since we didnt feel like driving all the way to frisco. I highly recommend their BBQ ribs and chicken, and of course the pineapple fried rice, stick with that and you come out of there a fan... i have actually tried some of the other dish there like the kabobs, they taste aight but its not for everyone. 4 stars only? well you do have to wear your jacket inside the restaurant during the winter coz they only have 1 portable heater in this place...lol if you are cold blooded i suggest take out is the way to go read more
