    Pad Thai

Really a 4.5 star. The service is prompt and helpful. We loved the beef and broccoli flavor. The pad Thai had a lot of veggies. Only reason for the 1/2 star is that the summer roll is cut like you would sushi, which makes for a great presentation, but was difficult to eat. It was still delicious. We will stop in again. Also a great stop when charging at the EV station nearby.

The food was amazing. I got a bowl and it was huge. Either be hungry or take it home. Also I chose medium and might I say somewhere else it would be hot or very hot. Beware! Husband got pad cashew with Thai hot and it about burnt him up. He usually can never find Thai hot enough. Learning curve - still great food. Our waitress was very helpful and very nice. Very calm and low key place. Would love to visit again!

    My orange shrimp, very flavorful.

It was the monthly luncheon of the 60+ Travel Ladies Club and a Southsider was the organizer. The food and service was fantastic. Can food be too authentic? My orange shrimp was deliciously flavored. There are restaurants that minimize their flavors to appeal to an American palate. Thai Charm is authentic. Even mild was a bit spicy for my palate, however the food burst with flavors. Their food is served in generous portions. The restaurant accommodated the special dietary needs of one diner. The ambiance between the wait staff and our group, there were ten of us, was excellent. The owner came and chatted with us. One of our members had recently returned from touring Thailand and a great conversation ensued. We love supporting independent restaurants. With Thai Charm only being in business 16 months (as of July 2024); we all wished them the best of success.

This is not my first time having food from here, but it was my first time dining in. The inside is a cute restaurant that is larger than it appears from the outside! The booths were very cozy and the waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, some of the best Thai food I've had. I should have stayed in my lane with mild+ because I got the medium and it definitely was a buildable spice, but it was still really, really good. The crab Rangoon was good, a little sweet for my liking, but my friend said it was one of her favorites she ever had. Overall, would come back again, it's delicious :)

I enjoyed the spicy and tangy flavour of Tom Yum and fried rice. The best part about this place is the spice level, as someone who loves spicy food, I genuinely enjoyed having the option to go until it gets super spicy! I started with medium and I think I can go medium + and a step above.

This is one of our favorites to grab a weekday lunch while we're in the Southside Indy area. The service is prompt and friendly. They have many lunchtime specials for a very reasonable price. On this visit I enjoyed a tofu curry meal with a cup of lemongrass soup and a freshly made spring roll. I had enough curry to carryout for my dinner that evening.'There are so many choices to try. Tasty and plentiful with friendly service at a great price. What more do you need?

Five stars for excellent flavors, quality ingredients, and polite service. Four stars overall though, because of a few things: First, the inside of this place was so cold, we were freezing. I know it wasn't solely us either because our server was wearing a puffer jacket while serving tables. Second, we ordered lunch specials that came with soup and the soup was barely warm when it arrived at the table. Finally, be aware of the spice levels here. We ordered our food with a mild to medium spice level and what came out was so spicy, it was almost inedible. The excellent flavors were there but I had to eat a lot of rice in each bite just to tone down the spice level and it was still too hot.

Our favorite Thai spot used to be Thai Spice until we discovered this place a month ago. The food is absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The drunken noodles are a must have!! I highly recommend this restaurant and will continue ordering from here.

    Vegetable summer roll

This has quickly became my wife and I's favorite Thai place near our house. Everytime we have been, we have been seated quickly, and quickly attended to. The servers are always super friendly, and quick to get drinks out. On our most recent trip, we ordered the vegetable summer rolls to split, and the ginger stir fry with pork for the entree. The summer rolls are delicious. The lemon chili sauce and peanut sauce are packed for of flavor, and add a nice addition to the summer rolls. The ginger stir fry has a nice flavor profile. Fair warning, the medium heat I got packed a punch, and I normally do a decent job at handling some eat. Would definitely recommend for anyone in the area that wants fast and friendly service with great food.

My husband and I have eaten her several times, as we live near here and it is very good. We have always been greeted promptly. The owners are usually in here working and are very nice and attentive! We always start out with an appetizer of the Summer Rolls. These are served with a peanut sauce that is just delicious. I usually get the chicken Pad Thai. I know this isn't very adventurous, but I'm usually craving it so that what I get. It is always delicious and more than enough for two meals for me. I tried the heat level as Mild+ this time. I'd say this is perfect for someone who prefers mild food, but wants to have a slight heat. We will definitely be back!

Exceptional service, food, ambience, etc. We were seated right away and our waitress was very polite and attentive without being overbearing. Our food was brought out in about 10 minutes after ordering and was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be returning to try more items on the menu.

Food was awesome, heat levels are high Thai hot is HOT! I got the padde cashew with rice very good. Wife got one if the soups with noodles medium heat and it was plenty hot for her. Service was superb, hostess was our server and we didnt wish for anything but chopsticks, which we asked for. We try to keep things authentic. Ambiance is very pleasant. Decorated nicely but not over the top. Definitely one of the great locals!!

It had been before the pandemic since my last time in Indianapolis and much has changed on the city's dining and drinking landscape. Following a recommendation from a bartender at Sundry & Vice, I made my way to BODHI. I didn't have reservations, which I'd strongly recommend, since the place was packed on Wednesday night before 6PM. Fortunately, I was able to snag a seat at the bar, which was ideal since I was dining solo. Upon scanning the hip, high-energy, yet petite dining room, I had a sense of deja vu about it before realizing that I had been in this space before back when it was Black Market. I started off with a cocktail from Bodhi's intriguing and expansive drink list, a 7 Realms of Happiness, made with Old Hamer Bourbon, Faccia Brutto Centerbe, Cappelletti amaro, saffron honey, and lemon. My thought was that it's their twist on a classic Whiskey Smash. It was bittersweet, yet balanced, and simply a delight. As for the food, BODHI's menu is concise hitting the most of the Thai food usual suspects. I had the Papaya Salad and the Shrimp Green Curry. The papaya salad came out first. I was pleasantly surprised by its plating, looking much more like an elaborate entree with its cashews, watermelon radish, and chicharrones than the humble side salad atop a leaf of lettuce or cabbage that I've usually received at virtually every Thai restaurant I've ever been. It was just a pretty plate as it tasted even better than it looked. It was fresh and flavorful as those flavors popped from the perfect balance of salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and funky. It was the best rendition of a papaya salad that I've tasted. My bowl of curry was no less successful in balancing those diverse Thai flavor profiles. Unlike some/many other curries I've had where it seems like a bowl full of sauce with bits and pieces of protein or vegetables, Bodhi's rendition achieved the perfect "solids to sauce" ratio. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the curry itself was bold and bright on my tongue. It was a delicious spoonful. I loved it! For "dessert", I had a second cocktail, the Garnet, a booze-forward whisky drink made with Mars Iwai Tradition, Pinhook Rye, Akashi Ume Plum whisky, Veda Mushroom Liqueur, Balsamic Vermouth, celery & orange bitters, and topped with a Moon Smoke Bubble. It was very unique, tasty and satisfying, if not a bit difficult to describe. I would maybe compare it to an Asian-influenced Vieux Carre and I thought it was excellent. Service from Carli, the bartender, was stellar throughout my night as she was friendly, helpful and exceedingly outstanding in making my drinks. A definite rock star! BODHI was outstanding. I'm not sure how to best describe the place. Was it as an amazing Thai restaurant that also does incredible cocktails or an amazing cocktail bar that also does killer Thai food? Regardless, I could not have enjoyed my experience more. If/when I'm back in Indy, BODHI is at the top of my list for a visit!

The pad Thai here at Chiang Mai Thai Noodle was excellent. Perhaps some of the best pad Thai I've eaten in Indy. It wasn't too sweet, which was nice. We came here for the Devour Indy menu which was a great bargain. First off though I ordered hot Jasmine tea. It was served in the cutest fancy teapot with matching cup and saucer. For the appetizer you could choose up to 3 different items, in effect make your own little sampler. I chose the Thai dumpling, crab rangoon and spring roll. This came with both gyoza sauce and sweet and sour sauce. Let me rave about the crab rangoon. It was stuffed to the max with a nice savory filling. The wrapper was one of the most delicate things and the sweet and sour sauce was also spot on. The spring roll was delicious, the dumpling not my favorite, but stuffed with a lot of meat and one of my guests praised it extensively. Then we got to choose a soup and I chose gaeng jued, which is about as difficult to pronounce as it is to eat. Those noodles get quite slippery in the broth and hard to catch. But the effort is well worth it. This soup is absolutely delicious. Then on to the main course... never mind I am already getting full. Chicken Padd Thai for me any day. Medium spice, it was not as spicy as I would like it, so you don't have to be carefully with your spice level. The Padd Thai was delicious and a huge serving. I took most of it home since we still got to enjoy a dessert. Fried bananas please. This came with 4 large pieces, so basically a whole banana if you put it end to end. It had some coconut rolled up in the wrapper also and then a drizzle of honey. Very good. Glad I saved some room for it. I will be back for sure. This place is worth it, even at full price.
