Great find! Delicious Thai vegan. Small quaint place with plenty of seating space. Got the Thai iced tea with coconut milk. Basically like a wonderful dessert :) The coconut soup was so good, buffalo cauliflower wings on point and the pad see U with "chicken" had me wanting to comeback to try other dishes. Highly recommend! Great service and staff. Food came out quickly which was great as we were on time crunch.

Buffalo cauliflower appetizer. No notes. Crisp. Flavorful. Cooked to perfection. 11/10. Pad see u with soy chicken was so tasty. Massaman curry was sooooo rich in flavor. Everything was hot and the portions were big enough for some leftovers but not an excessive amount of food. So great value. The service was wonderful. We went like an hour before closing on a Monday night so it was not remotely busy but it is a smaller space so it feels a little cozy.

I found this place last night right after Xmas. Love this place and I've been a Vegan for a while and it's hard to find a complete vegan restaurant. I ordered their red curry and quinoa/ brown rice! I love eggplants so I wanted to order more of eggplant dishes as well as quinoas. People are very friendly (yes! Vegan people!!) It's a cozy place at the corner of a plaza in Sherman oaks. I'll be back and try other dishes! :) Thank you for being kind and providing non animal products! Great karma and energy exist at this place, for sure :)

Return to veStation and this elevated destination. This Thai organic fusion spot that strives to make delicious fresh healthy eats has definitely elevated itself with time. Even my last takeout + delivery experience last year had me wiggling to get back inside for the full Ve experience. Even more intimate and inviting than my last dine in. I invited my friend Jeff to have a meal here with me after his long day at work. We caught up over quinoa sticks (spring roll still), Massaman Curry and refreshments. The service went above and beyond incredible. Everyone from the kitchen crew to the servers to the manager were all so friendly. Everything was a smooth journey of dinning in, even the ambiance which was soft dark yet warm and inviting. As a vegan vegetarian eatery with many gluten free options it speaks volumes to how they capture so many great flavors to even win over my friend Jeff who is very much an omnivore to my herbivore. He's already been back since we ate here once without me. Hats off the the chef and all the Station crew. If you find yourself near Van Nuys & Ventura Boulevards near this tucked away gem - neighbor to Ubatuba - Sherman Oaks, El Torito, U.S. Bank and other spacious plaza favs, consider taking a turn into this shared parking lot spot and enjoy a meal and more. While VeStation is known for it's impressive coconut based curries, they also offer yummy starters, sides, soups, salads, sweet treats, noodle dishes, grain/rice dishes, and a la carte plates. For beverages you can take your pick of Thai iced tea, iced matcha tea (yes), hot teas, lemonade, kombucha, juice (such as pomegranate), oat milk, almond milk, diet coke, still water, mineral water, and coconut. As well as one of two choice mocktails (being an alcohol free restaurant). Their restroom facilities are gender neutral, and extremely clean + well maintained. Good for lunch, dinner, dates (with friends and/or that special someone), family friendly and open to all. Aside from a full dinning experience, take out or delivery... Ve also has catering for your event, special occasion or party needs. I'm definitely hoping to show them some more love, revisit all the dishes I've tried over the years while trying new ones along the way.

Went here for a lunch meeting on a weekday 2 weeks ago and I am pleasantly surprised. I'm meeting with someone who is Vegan so this was a good place for her. I eat a lot of Thai food and while this restaurant is vegan - the Thai flavors are there and I especially loved the Quinoa sticks - these are like egg rolls! So good and the wrapper is crunchy and the dipping sauce is the right amount of sweet and sour. I ordered Drunken noodles and I didn't miss the meat at all - I got it with soy pepper steak but yes it's not real meat but I didn't miss it. Buffalo wings were also very close to the real thing. The place was clean and I would say spacious- they weren't full but even if it were I don't think it'll feel crowded. Raveewan was our sever and she was attentive and explained some of the menu items accurately. If you're vegan and want thai food definitely go to this place. Even if you're not I think you'll appreciate the flavors, pricing I think is the same as your regular Thai place normally Vegan can be more expensive but I think price point this is about the same.

More like 2 1/2 Stars. 2 out of the 4 of our dishes were good, one was mediocre (the soft tofu in the attached Pad See Ew dish, was chewy), and the 4th dish was returned, because the tofu was dry. In addition, each dish came out separately, about 5 minutes apart; the Server/Host was too busy; we had to ask for additional waters; ask to place our orders after feeling rushed when we first got there; ask for extra napkins,; and the Birthday Cake I brought, in a bag, was just handed to us in the bag I brought it in, at the end of our lunch - I had to add the candles that I brought, ask for a lighter (which ran out of lighter fluid) to light the candles, and ask for a knife to cut the cake. Won't be going back anytime soon.

Came here for a vegan dinner and while we did enjoy it, i did not feel like it delivered the flavor profile I expect from a Thai restaurant. Service here is excellent. The staff was very kind and attentive. The interior was clean and sleek. I was really hoping this place would be my new Thai spot but the food was not very flavorful. Everything was well made with quality ingredients but nothing had any spice and I had to add soy sauce to the noodles so that I could enjoy it. This is a great place for a light and healthy high Thai meal with fresh ingredients and is best suited for those who prefer less spice and vegan food. The soy chicken and cauliflower wings were very good!

I enjoyed my meal here but had to knock a star because while everything here is good, every dish needed more flavor. We started with the buffalo cauliflower and it was very told. I think this was my favorite dish. Would definitely recommend. We then got the coconut soup, which was good but average. We then got the red curry, which had a good base but needed more spice and flavor. We also got the drunken noodles which was good but not great.

Sweet, sour, salty, & a little bit spicy, this all vegan authentic Thai restaurant is a must try! They used unique ingredients like lotus flower roots, chewy black rice & creamy made from scratch peanut sauce. Everything was super fresh and made to order. The vegan soy chicken I got with my royal pad Thai was so moist, & a little bit crispy on the edges. It was so flavorful it didn't make me miss the meat at all. Everything was super filling, the portions were perfect. Even after we got full we still wanted to continue eating more & more because of how well seasoned & enjoyable the food was. The restaurant itself is a bit tiny, you are very close to the other tables & there is also no alcohol served here. The service was okay, our host seemed a bit hurried, but she was very polite. The fresh rice wrap rolls that we got were filled with tofu, soba noodles & some crispy fried eggroll wrappers inside for crunch. I can't emphasize that enough, it was just the right amount of sauce & the curry itself was so creamy & not at all overly spicy the way some Thai places make their food, where it's so hot that your tongue goes numb. We left feeling so satisfied, & we vowed to return again.~~~~

"Such a beautiful place! I come here often because it's close to home and perfect for any occasion. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming every time. I usually go for curry and zaru soba salad. Yummy ...!

The coconut soup was amazing! But!! It contained cabbage and corn, which was I believe really offensive for the that kind of dish. I'd rather had soup without corn and cabbage, it's a Thai food and should be more contain original ingredients. Drunken noodles with chicken supposed to be spicy, they were not at all, I asked for something hot or spicy, they brought me a sauce, it wasn't spicy and was just sweet. I should have just asked for chilly flakes. Chicken in drunken noodles was weird, like it was cooked and stored for a very long time and now it was reheated. All the noodles ingredients were just thrown in a big plate, it didn't felt that they were connected, if I can say so. Like everything was as a separate side. Only couple water was amazing - but corn and cabbage in soup didn't do a great job. Service was fast and food came out fast too

No shrimp or fish pastes. Thank you.

I always thought the restaurant was vegan, but now I see it described as "vegan-friendly." What on the menu is not 100% vegan?

The entire menu is vegan. I'm pretty sure the reason it says "vegan friendly" is technically it is... but also because of question prompts by Yelp when writing reviews and checking in... such as "is this restaurant have take out, is this place good…

Shrimp Spring Rolls consisted of a large handful of lettuce, an erstwhile shred of carrot or two, and perhaps one solitary shrimp, sliced into pieces and buried deep within the greens -- all wrapped in the usual rice paper and served with peanut sauce that was serviceable but far from anything truly tasty. The rolls themselves were pretty much flavorless and unpleasant. Dumplings (offered on a BOGO deal) were clearly of the packaged variety, served 1/2 steamed, the others fried. Again, very little flavor; served with a thicker, sweeter teriyaki style sauce rather than the vinegary dumpling sauce one expects. Chicken Pad Thai was the worst of the lot. Just dry chicken and the rice noodles, bland and pretty terrible. None of the other usual ingredients, and zero flavor. I don't know if the holiday weekend led to the D-Team working the kitchen, or if this is actually the best they can do. Whichever the case, we have no plans to give this another try.

The portions are family/shareable sizes unless you're absolutely hangry/determined enough to take it on solo. Overall it's one of the better Thai restaurants we've been to in the Valley. It's nice and cool inside for those hot summer days, it's a great place to catch games on their giant TV, and it's a solid choice for families on a budget. If you're in the area, give them a shot!

I love the crispy edges of kai jiew, really can't get enough of it. This place has two kinds though: thai omelette (which looks like a common omelette but with ground meat inside and a brown sauce), and scrambled eggs (which looks like the 'thai omelette' that i've known from other thai places). Kai jiew / kai jeaw / khai jiao / kai jiaw (scrambled eggs) -- if you like those fluffy, crispy fried eggs that are mostly called thai omelette at other places, this is the one you want. They're not as crispy, but still fluffy and full of flavor. They're a bit pricey though, which i find a little weird since this is normally one of the cheapest dishes at most thai places. Thai omelette -- this egg dish is one i've only seen at this place. It's more like egg foo young than the thai omelette that i know. Still flavorful though. Crab fried rice -- one of the best! It might not be as full of crab aroma, but this is the only place where i found a balance in fried rice as both an entree and a side dish. Usually fried rice is either flavorful enough to be an entree, or slightly bland and best as a side. But Khun Dang's is the perfect middle ground: flavorful enough as an entree, but not so strong that it overpowers your main dish if you decide to eat it as a side. Chicken fried wonton -- nicely crispy, such a joy to bite into! Thai ice tea -- not bad, pretty okay. Not too sweet, and not the "packaged mix" kind. Thai ice coffee -- strong, reminds me of vietnamese coffee (in all the good ways). Service was warm and friendly. Got my order in half an hour, which is pretty good considering they were packed for sunday lunch. The place is nice for hanging out and chatting when it's not packed, but even when it is, the tables aren't arranged too tightly. The price point is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and portions reflect it.
