Good spot for Vietnamese food in Woodland Hills, though I felt like the food ran on the sweeter side. The restaurant is located right next to Sprouts, so parking is easy to find. My friend and I came for dinner Wednesday night around 6 pm and it wasn't too crowded. There was a nonstop stream of customers coming in. By the time we left an hour later, most of the tables were full. They offer both Vietnamese food and boba. I was here for dinner but their drink menu looked good as well. Maybe next time! So much of the menu looked good, but as soon as I saw that they offer bo ne (steak + egg sizzling skillet), I was sold. It's one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, and not many restaurants in this area offer it. I got the B1 bo ne for $20.95, and my friend ordered their V7 grilled chicken with lemongrass over vermicelli for $17.25. The food came out pretty quickly. My bo ne looked amazing as it was sizzling a lot when it was served. The bread was warm and crunchy on the outside / soft on the inside, the egg was cooked over easy with a perfectly runny yolk, and they don't skimp on the meat. I really enjoyed everything about my dish except that I found it a bit sweet. My friend enjoyed his chicken vermicelli dish as well, though he was a bit disappointed the grilled chicken wasn't a whole piece of chicken but smaller pieces. After going to both locations of Saigon brothers this is definitely my pick of the two. While the food and execution is somewhat similar and standard. I feel like this plaza is more welcoming and safe for families. Many times at the other location there were solicitors and vibrant characters sometimes randomly coming into the establishment at times. There weren't too many people on a weekday afternoon, and food was fairly pricy - expect to spend ~$20 and some change for an entree after tax and tip. I ordered the V5. Chicken Sauteed w/ Lemongrass Vermicelli. I was surprised to see it steaming when it arrived, but I instantly felt sad once I bit into a dry piece of chicken. Thankfully (or not in terms of cost) there weren't too many pieces of chicken. The rest of the ingredients were okay and carried by the nuoc mam (fish sauce). The vermicelli was fairly stuck together and moist, not too crisp. Outside of the food, the staff were very friendly and responsive, and the ambiance was nice. In addition to food, they also have a variety of drinks, and my favorite part was the menu organization. I went for lunch on Tuesday. We got seated right away and I asked to sit on the couch seat and the sever said "this side is warmer" and sat us in different seat which is ok because it was a cold day. As I was deciding which pho to eat, she said "this one. If no spicy then this one is good." I'm sure it was coming from a good heart but I wish I could have take more time and read the menu. But whatever I ordered was good. (I think it is filet mignon non spicy pho). Pho is usually bland but this broth had pretty good flavor! My husband ordered pork belly banh mi and he loved it. They were very attentive and asked if we want our drink we couldn't finish to go and have us disposal cup which is super nice because not a lot of places so that. The beef banh mi was better than the chicken one because it was a little more moist. The carrots and radishes and veggies were plentiful which I appreciated. The jasmine green milk tea (default non-dairy creamer) with boba was a little on the sweet side, so I would order it with less sweetness next time if possible; however, the boba balls themselves tasted fresh and perfectly chewy. I loved how crunchy & deliciously fresh they were, I highly recommend ordering. The egg rolls were also just as good & had the perfect crunch without tasting overly fried. The banh mi was probably my favorite, I loved how the outside of the bread was crispy while the inside of the bread was super soft & fresh. My husband and I love coming here so much that we always bring our family and friends here whenever they're in town. Their avocado boba, egg rolls, and beef short rib pho is my favorite. I love their banh mi too, especially the pork one. They have indoor and outdoor seating available that's shaded and with a fan so we are able to bring our dog with us too. They kindly always offer him a bowl of water and ask us if they could pet him. They also offer high chairs as needed. Customer service is excellent whether you're dining in or taking out. We usually have 2 waitstaff constantly checking on us too. They are all so attentive and great. One of the waiters has incredible memory and was able to memorize the order for our table of 6 one time! We usually come here at least once a month or once every other month and with my husband being Vietnamese himself, this is his choice of local Vietnamese food. read more

The atmosphere, although busy, was still relaxing. I tried the pork chop fried egg rice, and it was pretty good! The pork chop had a nice grilled flavor, and the egg was cooked perfectly with a runny yolk that paired well with the rice. The pickled veggies on the side were a nice touch, adding a bit of tanginess to balance the dish. Simple, tasty, and satisfying--I'd definitely come back. read more

I went here for lunch yesterday. It was my first visit but my daughter raves about the Pho. My chicken was hard and had no flavor. I really didn't eat much of it. The Won Ton was soup was much better. I asked for a small bowl and they brought out a huge bowl. Lots of noodles, pork sizes were big as were the won ton's. I had enough to take home for another meal. For $30, I would have liked to be more satisfied but maybe I should have ordered something more ethnic.
