Thai Chada amazes every time I go there. Always high quality, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Conveniently located in a small strip mall, my significant other stopped by for a quick dinner. The staff are always friendly and I'm pretty sure they're starting to recognize us. We ordered the drunken noodles, fried wontons, and a papaya salad. However, we've had many other dishes such as the pad Thai, red curry, fried rice, squash curry, and tempura vegetables. All have been great! Last night the drunken noodles with beef were cooked perfectly and bursted with flavor. The fried wontons were fried to perfection and had a generous amount of sauce. Love this restaurant but I don't go anywhere near as often as I would like. This is a family owned business and the wife is amazing! The husband is the problem. He's always front and center when you go in, and always has a scowl on his face. He makes absolutely no effort at positively interacting with their customers and you simply don't get a welcoming feel. I honestly wish I could tell the wife to have him in the background somewhere, where her business won't be negatively impacted by him and his always seemingly bad attitude. There are a ton of Thai restaurants in our area, but this one is our favorite, but the only way I even consider them is if I can arrange for someone else to pick up our food. read more

Arrived around 6:45 and the restaurant was empty. We thought they may only do takeout but the door was open and we walked in. At hostess appeared and we sat at a booth across from the bar. We started with drinks and ordered a scorpion bowl and Mai Tai cocktails. The bartender prepared the drinks per order, they were a bit strong and tasty. For an appetizer we ordered the Thai Chada Platter for two which was enough for 4 people. It included 2 crab ragoons, 2 golden cups, 2 egg rolls, 2 Panko shrimp, 2 wonton shrimp, chicken and beef satay. For dinner we had Massaman Curry, Mixed Squash Curry and Chicken Pad Thai spicy level 4. All were served hot and delicious. We'll definitely be back read more

I will start off saying the food was amazing. We had the fried wontons, which was an appetizer, and good size. Unfortunately we ordered the crab Rangoon's as a first choice but they were out of them. I also felt the alcohol drinks were expensive and small, so I had a beer for my second round. We then had the chicken pad Thai and chicken cashew nut dinner. Both of these again were really tasty and authentic in nature. There is not much I door seating, but it is cozy. Our waitress was really sweet and did everything she could to make us happy, but they were very understaffed and it took forever for our food to come out. My co-worker and I were discussing Thai food, and she recommended Thai Chada. Five stars from me. The best Thai food I've had in a long time, and possibly the best Thai food in the area. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean, well-decorated, and inviting. If you like your food spicy, like I do, then this is the place for you. My spouse and I went for our anniversary on a recent weekend. We ordered drunken noodles with chicken and Pad Mee with beef. The drunken noodles was flavorful and rich, with a hint of spice. The Pad Mee had a dark sauce that was delicious. Next time I'll have to try their Pad Thai. All the staff at the Thai Chada was extremely friendly. As we finished eating, the owner came over, introduced herself, and chatted with us for a few minutes. She told us the restaurant was close to celebrating its first year in business. My co-worker suggested I try the papaya salad since I liked spicy food, but warned me it was "an acquired taste." The staff suggested I start with spice level one. I almost asked for level two, but decided to follow their recommendation. For me to describe food as "spicy." it needs to cause pain, hiccups, a runny nose, or any combination of those three. Anything less I describe as "tangy." One bite of papaya salad (at spice level one) hit all my three criteria. A couple of the staff asked if I was okay, and I assured them I enjoyed the challenge of eating spicy food. One of the staff said, "Your co-worker told you to try that? She must not like you." My co-worker and I had a laugh the next time we saw each other. She also suggested some other items to try for the next time, Thai sausages and sticky rice. My co-worker also said that the way she eats papaya salad was as a garnish or an addition to add heat to another dish. This strategy would work well for my spouse and I, because my spouse does not like the same level of spice as I. I will definitely be visiting Thai Chada again soon. The tables were covered with white tablecloths and topped with glass. It's a small place with 9 tables but it also has bar seating. Pop music played over the speakers, but that might change at night. The lunch prices only go up one or two dollars on the night menu. The Beef Pad Mee was good, but it seemed to have a burnt aftertaste. Food is good, as long as it's not made so hot that you can't eat it. I usually choose a moderate spice level for Thai but at Thai Chada, I choose no spicy and it's still TOO spicy! I've been told by staff that the chef just does what he wants. It also fluctuates so you never know what you're going to get. Too bad though. Well, I gave a rating of five stars on my first visit here, a few months ago. On my second visit, this still holds true. This Thai/Laotian restaurant, owned by a lovely couple (I did not get their names... my bad), is clean, spacious, and inviting. There is a nice bar, and maybe 12 to 15 tables (best guess, I did not count). I am vegan, and the chef told me everything is made to order, except the soup broth, so I can order anything else. I am also a bit of a pepper head. I have tried to find Thai restaurants that will deliver a true "Thai Hot" experience, when that is what I ask for... I got what I wanted, without even knowing it. LOL! During my first visit to any Thai restaurant, I like to order green papaya salad and Pad Thai. Their green papaya salad is listed in the menu as a '3.' I thought that sounds like a good place to start. First bite, wowza! That is Thai hot AND flavorful. I loved every bite. At the end of the meal, I asked one of the owners what their spicy scale is, and he told me 1 to 5. I remember saying, incredulously, "That was a 3?!" I am pretty sure I told him they had just become my favorite. I look forward to gradually ramping up the spice level. I was told they have even served a 6 before. Apparently, the Laotian food is the spicier influence. I had never had Laotian food before. Well, the Pad Thai, no egg, was exactly the kind of flavor profile, and texture, I expect from a good Pad Thai. I have had a well balanced red curry with lots of vegetables, tofu, and they added pineapple for me. My mom had the pineapple with tofu dish under the 'Meat and Vegetables' section. We shared the spicy vegetarian rice noodles. There are more things we tried, but I cannot remember them, because my first visit was a while ago. Flavor, texture, ambiance, friendly faces; music level was good too, noticeable, but not intrusive. Chada Thai will be our quarterly treat. We look forward to our birthday meal in March! read more

Ignoring the customer is a common occurrence, you can be sure you will wait as efficiency is out of the equation . You can be ready to order while they prance back and forth cleaning tables in an empty restaurant, not even looking or asking if you are ready to order, The customer is low priority. Does anyone ask if you are ready to order? No. The manager says if you don't have a menu closed, they won't take your order. Maybe a person has a question about an order? Do you close the menu so you can ask about the menu?. This restaurant has no clue about service. It's always "do I want to take this poor service" at the expense of a decent soup? The food is amazing and the drinks as well. My wife and I have dined in a couple times as well as takeout. I'd have to say the sauces make this place probably the best food within a 45 minute radius of where we live. This includes the Lad Na which is wide noodles in a delicious sauce, as well as the ginger fish fillet as seen in the attachment. The presentation you can see could go on a canvas on the wall. The peanut curry sauce with the tofu rama is really, really good. Pad thai here is excellent as well. There is a creative selection of mixed drinks which we've tried a few and will try them all as we continue to visit, including a couple with ghost tequila, as well as elderflower liquer, and a really nice moscow mule. Too bad Thai Chada is buried in the Stop & Shop mall. They have friendly servers, a very competent bartender (Henry), and imaginative cocktails. That's before you eat...they also have respect for spice, and don't try to Americanize their dishes. Love the spicy chicken, complex sauce, nice veggies. The spring rolls are fresh they come with a tangy dipping sauce containing minced peanuts. Yum. Crispy noodles deliver lots of flavor and texture. Next time, she ordered a 3 and it was spicier than the 4 and she had trouble eating it! The third time, she got a 2, and she said she barely felt anything. It may depend on the chef working that day.
