Two years have passed ... and this place is still my 'go to' place for Thai in the East Valley. Nothing new food wise, taste is still on point with no change in portion size IMO. The star drops comes from the inconsistent front of house. Last week during a monsoon "nobody in the place" I was told it would be half hour wait ... really ... food arrived in 5 minutes! It took longer to explain we were eating in-house 'sharing the food' and need extra plates and serving spoons. Same silly sort of banter happens when you phone in. The staff at Thai Chili 2 Go was very friendly as I had never been in and they answered my questions. The food was pretty tasty, I had a the pad se ew, and the chicken in it was well cooked, the spice was spot on, and the noodles were great. I think they had a bit too much sauce in the dish making it a little soggy when I got home but overall for the price and close proximity to home I was very satisfied. I attempted to order through the Thaichili2go app directly and was not notified until after processing my card that I couldn't pick up my food until the next day. I called the store to figure out if I could cancel my order or receive a refund and was told they couldn't do anything until the next day. On top of that my refund wouldn't process until a week later. The DoorDash app would at least block you from ordering if they no longer accepted orders. I feel like I was given the bait and switch. Girlfriend and I came in, there was only another person and us in the restaurant. It took 10+ minutes to get our food and when my girlfriend asked for chili sauce she was told she could not bring it to the front because they only use it in the kitchen. Most Thai places are known for having different types of chili sauces. If there's nothing else open and I'm really hungry then I'll come back other than that we will not be back. read more

We love this place and so do our kids! Love that you can adjust the spiciness and they offer gluten free options. That's a just for us, and we love Thai food! Food is always ready fast, is fresh and full of flavor. We usually stick to the curries, but have also tried the fried rice. All are GREAT. Like the name of the restaurant says, "to go" is the focus. They offer seating but it feels like a lightly decorated school cafeteria during world diversity week. The food was good and for the price, you could go to a more traditional "sit-down" restaurant. If I wanted Thai food fast - I would recommend this establishment. We have frequented the Thai Chili location on Baseline over the years, but this place is even closer to our house. We've even gotten Thai Chili 2 go through Postmates when we've felt super lazy. The food seems to be all the same as the main location which is good. There's a few dishes I don't care for like the pad see ew, but the pad thai and curries are all knockouts. Been going here since they opened. Lately the meals have been disappointing as they seem to constantly be rotating through cooks. Got the Tofu Fried Rice a few days ago and it was dry. We really enjoy enjoy the food here. It's cooked fresh, flavorful, and can be made to whatever heat you prefer. I was thrilled to be able to get brown rice too. On top of all that...their iced teas are great! The coconut pineapple is to die for! The only negative is that sometimes the heat isn't what we ordered (medium was super SPICY last trip) and sometimes their veggies are cut too big. Hi. I came in and ordered the Tom Yum Gai soup because that's what I wanted. I did not get this soup. I got the Tom Kha one. I know that I specifically ordered the Tom Yum because that is what I wanted. I am now home and because I am 9 months pregnant, I am going to eat the Tom Kha one. I'm not really sure what this location's problem is. 3 of the last 4 times I've been here, the food takes an exceptionally long time to prepare. Why does it take 45+ minutes to make a red curry chicken? Either this place is chronically understaffed, has terrible management, or both. No other restaurant in the entire business park, including sit-down restaurants take this long to make food. I do enjoy the Thai Chili location on Baseline so when I heard of the opening of this "2 go" location, I was pretty excited to have a Thai option closer to home. Ok, so it's not the best Pad Thai I've had, but I wasn't exactly expecting that walking into a fast food version of a Thai restaurant. Pei Wei's Pad Thai is much better. Still, I like the concept, and I thought the interior was pretty neatly designed, Asian culture (images) meets modern American fast casual, with just the right amount of lighting. The wait time was a little longer than expected (about 30 minutes), but the manager (maybe owner?) working near the front counter was very friendly/talkative and seemed to take great pride in his business. The free Thai tea was a nice gesture as well. I may return to give a few more of the menu items a try. read more
