I had the BBQ Chinese Ribs the worst I have ever eaten! The meat was so tough that you couldn't even chew it. It was the worst ribs I have ever in my entire life had I would never recommend having their Chinese spareribs. She cooked them for five minutes they weren't slow cooked for hours to be tender, the place had no air conditioning and it had terrible ventilation that my eyes were burning to me. It was a disaster. We wanted a dine in restaurant which I suppose it was but I did not feel welcome to sit. I ordered the egg drop soup & sweet and sour chicken. The soup looked strange because it was orange. I'm used to my egg drop soup being clear. It tasted ok but there was some gelatinous stuff in it that I wasn't sure of so I stopped eating it. The sweet & sour chicken is deep fried with a sauce. The chicken itself tasted great but the sauce was an unusually sweet and dark magenta color with no sourness. My friend ordered a shrimp dish with vegetables & her dish tasted fine. I ended up dipping my chicken in her sauce because it tasted better! HECK YEAH! This is my new go-to for Chinese. Their eggrolls are perfect- crispy and not soggy. Their duck is (wait DID YOU SAY THEY HAVE DUCK YES I DID SHAWDY!) absolutely delicious. The Kung Pao chicken was nice and crisp and though it wasn't spicy I can forgive them because it was tasty. Their crab rangoons are folded like triangle instead of purses, and for some reason I just really respect that. The Singapore Mei Fun is packed with meats and deliciousness. Extra vegetables I guess means (see photo and find almost ANY vegetable) almost none and HOT SPICY (their option, hottest option) means zero flavor. Honestly I have been here a few times and would possibly go back on account of the food it isn't the best but it isn't the worst it is pretty good and a pretty good value but they tend to be very rude the only time they are slightly nice to you is at the end when you hand them a tip for carry out then they change their tune but I have been practically yelled at several times by the ladies at the front counter just not worth being treated like crap to go and put up with their attitude. Hot Wok is our go-to for Chinese food. The coconut butter chicken and vegetable fried rice are bomb. Also love their crab cheese puffs and kung pow chicken. The food arrives quickly and hot and fresh. (Admittedly, we do live just around the corner from them.) The only thing I've had that wasn't good was egg drop soup. This was probably the worst Chinese Food I've had in Arizona. The brown rice was almost paste and the Sesame Tofu had no flavor at all. We asked for extra veggies in our Sesame Tofu and paid an extra $4.00 for about a 1/4 cup if veggies. I called to ask why we got so little veggies when we paid extra for more and the women just argued with me. I finally gave up but will never eat there again. We've been going here for several years, and the food is consistently fresh and delicious. While the counter help may be a bit brusque when busy, we haven't experienced actual rudeness as some reviewers have mentioned; they don't chit chat but are friendly. We've asked for modifications on occasion and are accommodated. They go to great lengths to get the freshest produce available, and during any shortages they make up for it with other quality ingredients after checking with us first. Only once in five years has our order missed an item, which is a pretty good track record, especially during the dinner rush. I'm almost sorry we discovered the fried bread, because it's addicting! Called restaurant to talk to a manger, but he is "on vacation" so we spoke with a rep named "Maggie" who told us that chinese food doesnt last longer than a day and its our fault for not finishing food by Sat afternoon. I stated that this food should last longer than a day if it's made fresh. Maggie denied by statements by stating that the soup wouldnt last. I ate no soup, but that didnt stop her from denying that food was fresh and but still doesnt last more than a day. I told Maggie I didnt want a refund, a credit, or a redo. We've ordered from this place many times, but the last time was the first time we got delivery. Sunday evening , right at dinner time, and we got our food incredibly quick. The wonton soup is amazing...probably one of the best I've had. It's fairly reasonable too. The sweet and sour chicken is my girl's favorite and the general tso's is also one of our favorites.
