The food at Kneaders is usually so good. The service was awful, understaffed and when I looked around the case windows were filthy, the restaurant windows were filthy. There was only 1 poor girl taking orders and also running the drive through. We watched a car sit in the drive through for almost 15 minutes. Our food sat prepared for a good 10 minutes until I finally went and asked for it and she wouldn't give it to us. Apparently she had to deliver it. She said to me that she was all alone. Not sure why she couldn't just had me our food. It was tasty but small. Not what I have gotten from Kneaders in the past. I don't think I'll go back and I'm not sure they will make it. It's been a minute since I have eaten at Kneaders. I was in a hurry and wanted something healthier that a fast food options. I decided to go with the Greek style omelet and I was pleasantly surprised. I don't recall the omelets I have had in the past to be this fluffy and large. Today was my first time coming to a Kneaders location. I came to quick grab some coffee and do some work on my computer. Plenty of tables to eat and work (in my case) at. The staff were really friendly. The line went quick. I bought a plain iced coffee that had free refills which was a bonus. The house blend coffee was smooth and not bitter. Really lovely coffee. I ordered the half classic turkey sandwhich. This was just mediocre. The sourdough bread was good but the turkey was SO salty and mushy. The turkey tasted like it came from a can. Would not order the sandwich again, but would definitely buy a loaf of bread. They have a lot of different pastries here if you're into that. My daughter just had a baby, and the one thing that sounded really good to her for breakfast was Kneaders French Toast. I went to go pick up breakfast for both her and her husband, and normally they do refillable breakfast as long as you are in the restaurant, but because they are still in the hospital, I couldn't come back to grab a refill, so Chara and Selma went above and beyond and prepared breakfast and a refill for each of them plus extra syrup! WOW! Hadn't been here in a couple of months and OMG, has this place changed. Ordered a large apple cranberry salad and it was easily half the size from the previous visit. Maybe even less than half. I thought it was me but my wife says "Is it me or is this like half the size of the last time". Nope. Not you. So. Kneaders greens (where?). Just lettuce and it was awful. Lots of brown edges and hard veins. Tons of red onion. All the peripherals were present, just no salad. Service was unfriendly and I was frowned at when I asked for butter for my bread. Used to be there was never enough dressing for the large salad, but there is now, as they've shrunk the salad size to meet the thimble of dressing. Clever. A client gave me a gift card to Kneaders for Christmas so we decided to get breakfast there on New Year's day. They were not to busy as we got there around 11am but the experience was not a good one. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, hot tea and hot coffee, also requested a side of fruit for each of us and a brownie. Total was almost $30 dollars. The tea was literally a cup of water and a tea bag that she plopped on the table and walked away before I could ask if they had any honey. They did not apparently offer honey ( at a breakfast restaurant) go figure. The breakfast croissants were sad flat little pancakes and the eggs and sausage were luke warm so I suspect that they had been sitting out for a while. They also only brought out 1 fruit cup and upon my asking she informed me that she only charged me for 1 - $5.00 for a cup with one cut up strawberry and a small pile of blueberries. When I said that was crazy she told me I was being rude. Which I feel like I probably was at that point but we were very disappointed by both the attitude of the staff and the quality of the meal. Oh and let's not forget the peppermint brownie that we paid almost $4 for that was maybe 1 1/2" x. 2". All in all it was an unpleasant experience and I am just glad most of it was covered by the gift card. read more

I've been to this location several times over the years and they are always nice but today they were exceptional! I went with my five year old and we entertained the workers as he tried to figure out which treat he wanted most. Eliza was the person who helped us today and she was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond for us. She overheard me telling my son we were going to split the smoothie, so she brought out an extra cup and two straws for us. She also came with napkins, extra plates and my sons chosen dessert, banana pudding (it was delicious by the way!). Date: April 6th, 2026 Time: 11:30am (For purpose of corporate to figure who the shift manager was) Went there today. I don't usually go to this one, but my friend and I were hungry and we were right by it. I ordered a tuna melt on sourdough. When they brought it to me there was no grilling of the bread other than the edge. The center of the bread was dry, but not colored like when grilled. I told the lady that delivered it to me that it wasn't grilled. Instead of saying sorry and offering to have a solution, she tried to tell me it was grilled. I pointed at the bread and said no it is not grilled. Honestly it didn't even look like sourdough bread. Anyways, she took it back for them to grill more. At one point she had delivered someone else's food to them, so I called for her. She came over and I explained that part of the problem was that there was no butter on it to grill it right. Very impatiently she said they are fixing it now (as she continued to walk by me). She brought it back a second time and it had a little grilling in the center of the bread, but there was no butter on it. I explained that to her and told her it was not right. She tried to explain it off that the bread sometimes makes it hard to have enough butter on there, and that it will vary each time. This is the only sandwich I order there. I know how they are suppose to be. Since she was not going to be very helpful I asked for a manager. She told me she was the shift manager. I asked her name and she told me she doesn't give out her name. I was confused that a manger doesn't give out her name. She told me for personal reasons she doesn't give it. BUT! AJ was all she would give. I asked for corporates number and she told me she did have that. She told me there was a GM on shift and that she might have it. I asked if she would get it. She came back and told me that the GM doesn't have it. The GM never came and spoke to me to see what was going on. This shift manager took it back on more time to have them put butter on it. When she brought it back she impatiently handed it to me and walked off. I did say thank you, but she did not acknowledge that. The sandwich was still not right. Very minimal butter I finally did have another worker pass me and I told her what had happened. She was so kind and truly I wish I had her from the beginning of this whole ordeal. I asked for the GM's name and she told me Chara. This girl did not have a number for corporate. Her name was Kaylyn and she was so kind and helpful. She is what customer service looks like. Not the GM or shift manager. I did find a number for corporate and will be calling them. This is unacceptable to be treated like this. I will also never go to that one again. Honestly Kaylyn should be promoted to a shift manager. Her customer skills are wonderful. I watched as she went throughout the dining room to take food to people. She was happy and listened to any need. Give the girl a raise. read more

OMG!! Yummy. My boyfriend has an appointment at the cancer center near here so we had some time to kill. He was hungry so we stopped for a late lunch and he was told to eat something small we came in and ordered broccoli cheese soup it came with bread. The broccoli cheese soup is made fresh and had nice size pieces of broccoli that was cooked through all the way it was very delicious. The sourdough bread was nice and airy it was so good that I ate my boyfriend's bread as well this is perfect for cancer patients to eat I'm glad that it's near MD Anderson. So the wife and I were in the mood for a soup bowl but we were going to make it at home. All we needed was the bread bowls. After calling the McDowell store (the one we've gone to before) and asking if they had any, they apologized and said no. I called this location (Baseline and Higley), the girl who answered the phone said they had some. I asked her told hold me two. When we got there, it was between 5 and 6 pm. I went to the counter and told the girl they were holding two bowls for me. She asked what soup I wanted. I said that we were just needing the bowls. She rolled her eyes and asked if that was all. The wife wanted to get some cookies and we've never ordered them so didn't know who to order them, she asked if we can buy one or is there a bundle. The girl rudely said they have a buy 5 get 1 free. The wife asked if the brownie was part of it and the girl said yes. So she ordered 1 German chocolate brownie and 1 each of the cookies. When the wife asked what we had the girl said three brownie and 5 cookies. We said it only was 1 brownie and the girl sighed and changed the order. Even though this was not our mistake, the wife apologized and the girl said "no problem" like it was our mistake. I felt as we were being judged the whole time by the rude girl behind the counter Now, I am Danish and I make my own breads and bakery goods, I don't need to come in to this place. I came here for dinner with my daughter and my friend. The experience was not the best compared to the other two times I've been here. We waited in line for about 10min with only one person in front of us. The staff seemed to be short but trying to make it work. We ordered and the lady was very nice and answered my questions knowledgeably. However, from there it went down hill. I went to get my drink and the drink station was not stocked properly. It didn't affect me much as I didn't need a straw but still doesn't look good when you consider others. We then waited 25 min for our food to even come out. We only ordered sandwiches so it seemed a little excessive. My daughter was very hungry so we asked if we could at least get the kids meal and they just gave us the chips and cookie and said the sandwich would be 10min longer. When her food did finally come out they gave a second cookie and a bag of chips by mistake but let us keep it. The food itself wasn't that great. The salad on the side was limp and browning (you may be able to tell from the picture). My daughters kid ham and cheese was drenched in Mayo. It got everywhere and when she would bite her sandwich her face was just covered in it. We went back in line to get desserts to go. I made it first in line but still waited about 15min to be helped while all the to go orders were filled. At this time the soda machine was also being cleaned or fixed so customers had to go to the counter to get soda from the drive thru machine. The wait time was also longer as staff was just stopping to talk together every so often. Other things I noticed was that there was a very dirty mop bucket sitting in customer view that just looks unappealing. It was just sitting there pretty much my whole visit. The only reason I gave a couple stars was because the desserts were still decent compared to the service and food. Not too sure if I would return as this is my first time out of three having issues here. It may have just been a bad staff night. I ordered the tuna melt and my mother had the corn chowder. The bread on the sandwich was delicious and was a perfect combination with the tuna. The corn chowder has a slight amount of spiceness which was perfect for my mom as she doesn't like too much spice. We were looking to buy pumpkin bread and they were out but before we left they had baked more and the cashier made sure we were aware so we could take some home with us! My first time ever eating at Kneaders. Ordered the Chicken Pesto and instead of the traditional way it's made. I decided to have it on Focaccia bread and I was glad I did. The case for all the pies was out of order and probably a good thing for me. I didn't need to add any sweets to what I already had. The Sandwich was perfect and the chicken was cooked to perfection, moist and delicious. Should have taken a pic, but as usual I was beyond too hungry. This is a place to go when you aren't on a lunch break from work, but for a leisurely dinner after work or on the weekends. I was hoping to grab a quick smoothie to drink with my medication, and I knew I loved the Pink Piña Colada so I did a takeout order that gave an estimated wait of 20 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes past my order time and there was no sign of my drink nor was anybody seemingly willing to help. Due to the number of customers, it looks as though the restaurant is severely understaffed. Many tables were uncleaned and the service wasn't the kindest.
