Extremely good Thai food here. It's always good. I particularly enjoy the curry dishes.

By far the best Thai food around. Everything is so flavorful, and the portions are huge. Be cautious because their 1 spice (mild) is spicy, not for a sensitive palate! Prices are a bit high, but definitely get enough food for at least two meals. The location is small, carry out only, and you do have to call ahead- expect to wait anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours once you order but it's worth it. read more

The Very Delectable Mrs Funk and I have been from Tucson to Tucumcari, Tehachapi to Tonahpa. We've eaten every kinda food that's ever been made but we love the Thai food cause it's what we crave... and if you give us weed, whites and wine and you show us a sign... We'll be Willin'...?!? Wait, wait, wait.. that's a Little Feat song. Getting my passions crossed here.. If you give us noodles, veggies and Thai basil we'll be fine... just go easy on "The spice level!" Great cute little place in the plaza off walker & 83. Last time I went swamped and had a long wait for food which the husband told all of us. One kitchen one chef pumping out the orders. Lots of to-go biz. So my brother went back & no problem that time. So we both popped in for dinner & seated right away food out quick. Cool husband & wife team. Great Thai I did the masaman curry, medium spice & savory like a bisque would be. Orange color, delicious. Chicken in there with some onion & potato. Rice on the side. I use chopsticks even tho Thais don't. $27. Bro got the green curry it's great. I really like Thai food, in particular all the curries. Thai Chili's Pad Thai and Massaman curry were both fresh tasting and delicious. The portions are also huge! We got mild spice which was just right on the Pad Thai but too little on the curry. Thai Chili is my favorite Thai restaurant in Cleveland. The Tom yum soup is the best. The owners are super nice and friendly. I usually come in for the lunch special which is a great deal. You get a spring roll and cup of Tom yum soup for starters before the meal. I'd like to come back and try the dinner menu, it looks good. read more

This has quickly become a weekly order. The friendly family owned restaurant is a diamond within Avon lake. The husband is very politely and helpful when taking orders. Answers any and all questions and gives recommendations. The wife, also the cook, is absolutely amazing in the kitchen. It's important to support local. It's important to be flexible in these challenging times. I've been a patron of Thai Chili for several years. I was TERRIBLY disappointed in my last visit. It was gross! I understand they are out of several things but just don't offer the dish. PHAD Thai is more than fish sauce and soy sauce. The PHAD Thai was DISGUSTING! My husband had the Garlic Dish and it was good (thus 2 Stars) and the Thom Ka was super sweet without much lime flavor but the vegetables were fresh. It was frustrating- I so wanted to love my meal. Went by on a Wed. evening right when they reopened at 4:30 pm. Note: They have the hours of 11 - 1:45 and then 4:30 - 6:45 - yes, this is odd but as you read on you will be able to understand why. Ordered Golden Bags (appetizer $6.75), small Tom Kha soup $7.25, Thai Cashew with Chix. $12, Pad Thai with Chix. $12 and Jungle Curry Vegi with Chix. $13 - total bill $51. Our favorite Thai place up to this point was Cravings in Rocky River but we feel they push the envelope way too much on price - did a comparative look at the menus and Cravings would have costed $65 for the above. But, you ask quality though, don't you? Brace yourselves ... it's exceptional. For the past few years we have hit all the Thai places in the area and we can safely this this probably gets the nod as the best - right up there with Cravings in Rocky River. The flavors throughout all the dishes was super!. Here is the kicker for me - I asked for Thai Hot - and guess what - it was Thai Hot! Imagine that! I have asked, begged, got down on my hands and knees, pleaded, shed tears, and rarely do I get anything that I would consider spicy from the others. Not here ... no begging necessary ... they delivered! Now the drawback ... and there has to be a drawback ... they tout themselves as a "small, one chef, one wok kitchen". So that means not a lot can come out of that kitchen. And that means orders will get backed up. To give you an idea, I overheard them taking phone orders at 4:35 pm and they were providing a pick-up time of 5:15 - and that was on a Wednesday! I can only imagine how it is on a Friday or Saturday. That probably explains their hours - if the the wait for food is an hour and a half and you place your order at 6:30 - you are looking at getting it around 8 pm. Realistically they could not take an order at 9:00 pm and have to still be open until almost 11 pm and they have not started to clean up yet. Also, it seems like their operation is just husband and wife, so there are no extra hands. But in the end, plan accordingly, and you will experience some fantastic Thai food! read more

Been an occasional customer of Thai chili for several years, and is hands down the best Thai food I've had in the area. Admittedly it can be hard to reach them but at the same time know it's because SO many other people realize how good the food is and are calling to get an order in as well. Terrific service and flavorful food. Takeout only. Husband and I enjoy the mild sauce. Lunch portions have been trimmed down. We enjoy the Thai Basil and Ginger dishes the most. I love this little carry-out place. You can eat there if you want, but it's very small. It's meant to be mostly carry-out. The hours are really bizarre, but it's perfectly timed for lunch and dinner. I always get their drunken noodle or pad se ew dish with mild spice. The rice noodles are cooked perfectly, the veggies have a crunch, and I love the sauce. I wouldn't recommend going over medium because Thai spicy is a level higher than American spicy (in my option). Anything above medium is too spicy for me. My sister gets the tofu Thai basil dish which is delicious also. The staff is very friendly and my order has always been ready by the time they give me to pick it up. I was incredibly excited to eat at Thai Chili, I've been wanting to try it out because of the great ratings. When I entered the restaurant for dinner there was no one else in the dining area. I asked the man behind the counter if I could sit and he said yes but that the wait would be over an hour long. He said that they had to fulfill their carry out orders first. Their main excuse is that there is only one cook. Great, so get another cook. I see them turning away person after person because the wait is too long/not enough space. I continue to really enjoy the various dishes. I get the 1.5 stars of spicy level which is just spicy enough for me. I personally like to get take out but there is a small sit down area for those who want to dine in with around 5-6 tables. I really liked the Panang curry, the Red Curry, the Drunken noodle and the crispy vegetable rolls so far. The Pad Tai was okay but not my go to dish. I like to try a new dish each time as I like variety. Their times that they open are a little to be desired but I think it's because it's just the husband (takes orders and serves) and wife(cook) who work their so its limited. The taste is very authentic and thus is a true cook to order "mom and pop" restaurant. I am close to giving it 5 stars but times they are open dropped it to 4 as there have been a number of times I tried to order after getting home from work and they were already closed. read more

Wow, wow, wow! I this is a must try mom and pop type of restaurant. It is carry out only currently so make sure to call a little bit ahead as they get busy around dinner time. Been back here multiple times and have always been blown away by the food. Some of my favorites include the drunken noodles, any of the curry dishes, pad Thai, and the Tom Yum soup. I have searched Thai restaurants for the best Pad Se Ew with tofu in the area. That is how I judge. Well, ladies and gents, this is it. It can, at times, be a wait. Don't be a butthead and come give them a bad review. They are a small operation that cooks to order. This is why it is fresh. This is why it is good. That's not rocket science. If you want crappy, Asian fast food...go to Panda Express...then be depressed because you made a horrible decision. Expect to wait or be surprised when you don't.
