Drunken noodles ordered with tofu and chicken, made spicy and shrimp spring rolls ordered with extra peanut sauce. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 45 minutes. I went in to get it and a worker greeted me shortly after walking in. It was packed! Full house! Clean and safe! Practiced too! Masks worn by workers. I went to the register and a told the worker and the order was ready and waiting. Paid for the order, thanked and wished a good day! The restaurant is large. Decor on thr walls. Open. Lots of seating. Lunchtime! I got everything ready. Everything split with leftovers! The shrimp spring roll was fresh and tasty! The peanut sauce was different than what I've had before, but really delicious! Same with the spring roll. It had a tasty, crunchy center! Yum! This place deserves all their 5 star ratings on their food alone. It's very very good. Thai food is one of my favorite go to types of food to eat. I love the noodles, the rice, the curry, the tender flavors. A good taste test for me is the curry. I am a fan of Thai curry. we often try their red and yellow curry and get high off the aroma on the car ride home lol. We order a side of vegetable medley with it and mix it all up with the rice and curry to make a healthy meal that lasts for lunch for two days in a row. We have tried their pad thai noodles, Mongolian beef, panang curry, and coconut soup. It's easy to over order and the food is more filling than you'll think. The downside of course is their hours and days. Whenever you want to eat Thai country you will think to yourself, are they open? And 80% of the time the answer is no. I recommend calling in your order ahead and with a 30 minute window before you want to pick up the food. They stop answering the phone when they have too many orders already placed and they get busy during the lunch time period. Even after not coming to this restaurant for years (moved away after college), it is still the best Thai food I have ever had. The panang special is still one of the best combos. The pad thai was flavorful and the noodles weren't overcooked or clumped together. The Panang had great flavor and was the perfect spice level. I'm glad they added Lao style to their papaya salads. I was so excited to try this place out because of all the great reviews but it was disappointingly average at best since 2 of the 3 dishes weren't up to par. It's a very American style thai restaurant. Got the seafood delight, papaya salad spicy Laos style, and lunch special (Basil chicken and phad Thai). I would come back and order the lunch special again. It tastes like how it should: savory and full of flavor. Chicken was a little hard however. Not tender. The papaya salad was not incorporated well together. The peanuts weren't even crushed. It takes time to mix the salad's flavor together with the juice but it wasn't. Club One has much better papaya salad. The seafood delight was disappointing as well. It's just a bunch of veggies and mostly canned seafood lightly tossed with what tastes like a thickened oyster sauce. Service was great. Got some takeout from here recently, and I have to say, overall I'm disappointed. Chow mein was very, very oily, and all of the noodles were broken up. No noodle was over two inches long. I did like the amount of veggies they put in it. Garlic chicken was fine. Pretty nondescript, chicken, onions, carrots in a slightly sweet, but not very garlicky sauce. The tom kha gai soup was uninspired. They packed a chile oil with it that was a nice accompaniment. Sweet and sour chicken was ok. Chunks of chicken were big, but it was not at all crispy. The kung pao chicken was the best thing I got. It had good, deep flavor but was so, so salty. The pad thai was pretty bad, maybe the worst I've had. It didn't really have any if the requisite flavors of pad thai. In fact, there was some odd chemical taste that made it quite inedible. And today is Saturday, I tried to call them again, and the young lady picked up the phone and put me on hold again! People just walk up to the empty table and they'll said ok without regards to those waiting in line. They dont tell you how long the wait is and ignore any customers who walks through the door. I typically end up ordering the Panang Lunch Special, which includes, panang curry, jasmine rice, and pad thai. The pad thai is not very flavorful, but the panang makes up for it, in my opinion. The panang curry has your choice of meat, peas, & red bell peppers, it's sweeter and a small spice, but not heavy. I'm sure they could make it spicier if you wanted! The interior reminds me of some of the restaurants in Chiang Rai Thailand which has a welcoming atmosphere despite Covid restrictions. I get it now. I REALLY get it.. There's a reason why Thai Country has been around for so long, why there's usually always a wait when you get inside. The menu is moderately long and the dishes are delicious. While service can be a little slow--they are very busy-- and a wrong order did come out, I can attest to how flavorful everything is. It also helps that they pile more than enough on a single plate to feed 2-3 people. I had a lot left over to take home. The yellow curry is not spicy but does have a slight kick to it for those who cannot eat spicy at all. It was the perfect texture to eat with my rice. The yum nua was delicious, but I was not a fan of the rice powder. The next time I order, I would definitely ask for it without the powder. I like my pad thai on drier end and just needed it to cool down to a bit before it was perfect. Parking is pretty bad here. Each time I found a spot, there was a sign that it was only for customers of a certain place. If you see one, grab it fast. I would definitely recommend Thai Country.
