    Thai Chili Wings

Thai Cuisine II will always be my go-to for a quick fix! My go-to's: The spring rolls are always a hit, with shrimp and chicken inside, and the peanut sauce on the side! The Thai Chili Wings always cooked to a nice crisp with sweet and tangy flavors! Thai Tea is always refreshing with its perfect creamy and sweet essence.

Not necessarily my first choice for Thai options but will come if my family or friends want to dine here. The service here can get extremely slow especially during busy times. The pho broth is nice and light. I usually like to order the Thai papaya salad from here too but it can get a little salty at times. Overall the food presentation is decent but tastes pretty average. If you're into drinking and go during a time when Lucky Lotus (bar next door) is open, you can also order a cocktail directly from your table.

Staffs are super friendly and talkative. The server will ask questions just to make sure it is what you really want which is good thing. Som tum Thai style, duck noodles, seafood pho, and pineapple salmon were what we ordered. I liked pineapple salmon even though it was not a chunk pineapple. It was small tiny diced pineapple sauce on top of salmon with steam vegetables such as carrot asparagus broccoli and string beans. Health dish to me. Sum Tom was good tending toward salty side. The duck noodles and seafood noodles were okay nothing special about them. I would assume their rice plates would be a hit as well as appetizer, salad, or any finger food. Ohhh of course he went for Thai tea and Thai coffee. Thai coffee was not as strong as I liked it to be. Sorry no pics for the drink we were way too thirsty. Skip the Q part cau the A will be yes I would visit them again for the rice plates

    Dead roach in the pho

My soup came with a dead roach floating right in the middle of the bowl. Do not recommend.

There's plenty of parking. We were welcomed kindly by the employees working. It was a little chilly but I'm sure that was welcomed as Merced is quite literally a human oven. Kang keaw (2/5): flavor was pretty good...at first. It had this really weird after taste that didn't make this dish enjoyable. The texture of the various vegetables were too hard. Rad na (4/5): good flavor. The texture of the noodles were chewy. Bad experience: While I was eating, a moth (or some bug) flew from somewhere and landed in my food! Shocked I didn't know what to do and killed it on my plate. Overall, I've had better Thai food places than Thai Cuisine II. I will not be coming back here. Food was meh and if you were to order from here I recommend take out.

$4+ extra for tiny peanut sauce

Food was okay but definitely not worth the price, there are better options in the area. Ordered $50+ in food and requested peanut sauce instead of the sauce they offer with the spring rolls and was told it'd be extra but wasn't expecting $4+ for a measly cup of peanut sauce. Seriously? Will not be back, absolutely ridiculous.

I have ate a lot of pad Thai dishes from various Thai restaurants and Thai Cuisine II is by far one of my favorites, exceeding with their pad Thai dish! The noodles are always perfect--never soggy and never dry. They're full of flavor and juicy when slurping, leaving a delicious residue on your lips. The portion can feed two, but I would recommend taking one to-go for later. Looking forward to come back soon.

The look outside looks regular but remember the old saying, "never judge a book by its cover." The inside is super clean, organized, nicely decorated (I wanted to steal some of the wall art) but jail time is worth it. Anyways let's fast forward and get to the whole shebang. 1. Parking is shared with other businesses but there are plenty. 2. Restaurant is plain outside but the inside . Everything is up to date from the tables, chairs, ceilings, walls, etc. 3. The ladies bathroom smells like roses. I'm not kidding. They only have single bathroom which is the downsize. 3. Staff was awesome, in uniforms, and smells good too 4. Plenty of options even for a GF like me. Portions are huge and prices are good. 5,6,7,8,9,10........ They have a fan . Will be returning when I'm in the area Go and give the restaurant some love and support your local business, especially California

I selected #3 Satay Chicken, #61 Gai Himaparn, #10 Crispy Wings, and #33 Grapao Fried Rice. YUM YUMMY YUM!

Managers are unprofessional and have no respect for past or present staff. Food is decent but there's better Thai restaurants.

Both the coffee and the banana complement one another! Will definitely be coming in to try other drink combinations in the future. I also tried the combo pad thai and it was good! One thing I did notice is that the pad thai here has a generous portion of protein. I don't think I had a single bite that didn't have a piece of protein in it! Unfortunately I forgot to snap a picture of my pad thai.

We got steamed rice to pair. Next I tried the vegan pad kee mow and especially after the previous dish, the spice level on this really hit! I would say it's definitely on the spicier of spicy side. My partner eventually got hit halfway through the dish where the spice really started accumulating. Both were very delicious though! We came in on 4th of July for lunch and it was very busy. There was just one server so there was a bit of a longer wait for us to order after we were seated, but I could see how busy she was, seating people, checking out their bills, answering the phone, serving dishes, and handling takeout orders. Eventually towards the second half of our meal, a second server arrived. Empty tables got cleared much faster. We were just passing through Merced so very glad to have found this Thai spot with yummy vegan options as opposed to resorting to some unhealthy fast food. I recommend!

The place is clean. Nevertheless, it's a small spot though, so there's limited seating available. Better for a small lunch/dinner, but probably won't accomodate an extra large group. The food is fresh and made to order. It's your typical Laos/Thai spot. My son's favorite is the Satay Chicken. We used to be a huge fan of the coconut water because it was as fresh and came with coconut bits, but under new management, they just handed us a can of coconut water you can easily buy at the Hmong Store in town AND without pulp. Unfortunately, that was a bit disappointing. Regardless, overall, food, service, and location took the cake so seeing as this was not our first time here, it also won't be our last.
