This dish has several names, including Lao Laska, which is the name I used to order it the first time, at a Chapel Hill restaurant called Merilon, sadly no more! There are different version, of course, since this spicy noodle dish is served not only in Laos, but also in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, and The USA. It is served at 18 Malaysia in Winston, where it is shown on the menu as Malaysia Curry Noodle Soup, and I have eaten this dish at this restaurant quite a few times. The dish as served at So-Sapp is a very nice version, though I prefer the one at 18 Malaysia because of the very flavorful broth, and that you have a number of protein choices, while at So-Sapp it is limited to chicken. The reason I am giving it one star is because after we looked at our bank statement two days later we realize that they had added on an extra $24.78 to the tip after the fact. Our total bill was $28.25. My husband left a tip of $8.75 (Over 30%) bringing our total that we paid to $37.00 but they charged us $61.78. I have added a photo of the price of our food from their website and also a screenshot of our bank app showing the $61.78 charge and the $24.78 reimbursement.
