Called last minute to host 20 of us and without question they said yes! The wife was off and came in to ensure we were taken care of! They said we brought so much life to the restaurant on a Monday night! They all waited on us hand snd foot ensuring we had everything we needed, our drinks were full and our dirty plates were cleared. We had never sat in that part of the restaurant it accommodate us no problem. I really enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant! The food was wonderful as always! Our appetizer we fantastic we had a few of the sampler platters and the shrimp. I personally loved the shrimp it was in a crispy wrap yum! The pho, the hot pot, the rice, veggies and tofu everything was delicious. It's personally one of our favorites in the area. They handled our big party as well as when it's just the two of us!

This is a long time favorite place for my parents as it serves authentic Vietnamese food. It never disappoints choosing to go here when you are craving Vietnamese food. The servers are kind and prompt, the only concern for places like this would be language barriers but they have it pretty well managed that it doesn't cause a problem. The place is small and a tad dark, but is clean.

Today was my first time trying Saigon Restaurant. It was delicious! I had seen some mixed reviews but I found everything to very good! I ordered the Fermented fish soup. It was so flavorful and delicious! It came in a huge bowl so I will definitely have leftovers. Definitely recommend Saigon Restaurant!

Absolutely blown away. The pho is great, bun bo hue is fantastic. I got the clay pot dish as well. Great flavors all around. This is a smaller establishment, darker, cozy ambiance. Service was great. We were seated in the corner away from the main hubbub but we were taken care of. Prices very reasonable. Will come again!

AMAZING pho! Stopped here with a couple of friends and we all really enjoyed our food. The wait time for the food was so quick. The pricing is fair and great compared to all the food you get. Definitely my new favorite restaurant for pho.

I got the tofu curry and it was so good. It just needed some spice. The waitress brought us some chilli oil. Our waitress did have a lot of tables but service was pretty good. I was hoping to see a bar but I didn't see one on the side that I sat on. Perfect for dinner. Prices were all fair.

I got the roasted quail as the appetizer and let me just say, YOU DEFINITELY MUST TRY IT. DELICIOUS ...and I had the beef soup which was also delicious. The waitress was quick and polite. They provided good service considering I was only there for a lunch break.

It has been many years since my last visit but it won't be long for my next one. I believe their fresh spring rolls are the best in Greensboro. The food is excellent and the staff is helpful. I find the restaurant to be a bit dirty and simply worn feeling which is the reason for the 3 stars. In addition to the spring rolls their vermicelli dishes are always good, and there is a wide variety available.

I've tried so many different things here that you can't really go wrong. This is the bun Bo hue which was very flavorful. The grilled chicken skewers were amazing with the fish sauce. Everyone is always nice here and the service is also fast. The restaurant has many seating options including the bar which is nice.

My favorite Vietnamese spot in Greensboro. I have been coming here for a very long time and it's always been good everytime. Food- you can never go wrong with what to order from here. There's plenty of options to choose from. Ambiance- very busy on Sunday afternoon because you get the church crowd. A good amount of seating and usually never have to wait that long. Service- not the greatest. They only like their regulars. Food comes out pretty quick. I feel like portion maybe a little small for the price. They have their own parking but it can be hard to find one during busy times. The only reason I didn't give it a five start is because of the service but other than that, I would highly recommend. I don't like other places because I feel like other places have become so Americanized with the taste of their food. But this place is clean and tends to keep the culture of the food.

Everything was good until lil buddy from Joe's apartment came by to see what was on our plates. I lost my whole appetite. I asked for my papaya salad to be very spicy, not a single tear ! This was my first time with my lady, and I was disappointed. Yeah I got a little off due to the roach on the wall staring at us. In my culture we look at roaches as a sign of a filthy place. Where there is one there are more, kinda like the police on the highway hiding. Now I know this place has been there for over 20 years, but when do the exterminators visit? Let's just say never, and never ever will I come back thanks Randy the roach! Oh yeah when we reported it, the staff took off and we were disowned. They gave me a full check of 97 bucks tip included! So, I asked to be compensated for the bad experience with my lady and child. 15% off, and I slid them some cash because I'm not a jerk!

The sign is the same, but that's about it!

I wondered when this would happen? I wondered when I would walk into a restaurant as a Yelp reviewer and have to say the dreaded words, "This place has really gone downhill!" Well my friends, it happened last week when I took my friend Michael who was visiting me from California to what I thought was one of the finest Asian restaurants in Greensboro.... Saigon Here's what I remember pre-covid. A bustling restaurant especially during lunch time. Quite often I would have to wait in the parking lot for a spot to open up. And then you walked inside and ran into everybody you knew in Greensboro all there for that same delicious meal. Their hot soups and all their dishes were just out of this world. Even as you walked inside the restaurant you were blown away by all the delicious and enticing smells. The only reason I did not go there more often was because it was always so crowded that it was difficult to find a spot and difficult to get a table Well, let's jump ahead to last week in November 2021. We pulled up to the restaurant around 12:30 and I was surprised how empty the parking lot was. The outside looked real run down and dirty, almost seedy. When we walked inside, the place looked really dingy and barren. Not many people at tables and nobody seemed particularly thrilled to greet us or show us to our seats. We were shuffled around between a few waiters and waitresses until finally we landed with this young man who took our order. He rarely checked in with us and he put us in a back room where we were the only ones in the room. The room was adorned with old, nasty, dirty curtains, all closed to block out the sunlight. I felt like I was in a dungeon. Normally I would have loved the privacy but it all seem kind of weird especially in retrospect to what it used to be. We both had some basic lunch dish with chicken and rice and vegetables. Not bad, not good just mediocre like the rest of the place. I had bragged to Michael how special this place was, and it was so disappointing to see how it had changed. I don't know if it's because of new owners or a new chef or just one of the casualties of covid, but I will not be back!!! It breaks my heart to see this happen to a restaurant that was so successful and one of the pioneers of popular Asian restaurants in Greensboro other than Chinese food. Whoever owns the restaurant now needs to make a big decision if they are going to put some money into sprucing that place up , hiring a new chef and bringing it back to life. If not, I think it's time to shut the doors and leave while we all still remember that incredible restaurant years ago on High Point Road called Saigon that was a absolutely go to if you wanted an exceptional Asian food experience! So sad...

I went with 2 hot dogs today to get a taste of something meaty but not meat, a Carolina and an Hola Amigo. Carolina came with chili, cole slaw, onions and American cheese. Hola Amigo was fully loaded with guac, sour cream, jalapeños, banana peppers and nacho cheese. Before diving in, I had an assumption that all ingredients tasted similar to their meat or dairy counterparts. I couldn't believe how tasty all of this was. Hot dogs, tasted like hot dogs. Chili and cheese the same. These were two delicious and fully loaded dogs that I'd put up with the best of them. I'm looking forward to trying their juicy looking burgers next time. I will never give up meat or dairy, but Mike's has single handedly opened my palate to vegan food. If you're vegan, this is your spot. I wish I could say that it was worth the wait, but my experience here suggested otherwise. Positives first: Noor is both spacious and stylish with plenty of seating in both the bar and dining areas. Sujan proved to be an attentive and courteous server. That said, the buffet was somewhat underwhelming. It was smaller than those I've found elsewhere in the area. While it offered a solid mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, those offerings were the epitome of playing it safe. Only the hakka noodles (not always an Indian buffet staple) and butter chicken (better than average) really stood out. Nothing else, from the tandoori chicken to the daal to the naan, was prepared poorly, but it was fairly forgettable. Granted, buffet food needs to appeal to a wide range of diners with varying levels of spice tolerance, and so I went in not expecting any heat. Take spiciness out of the equation, however, and the flavors still felt subdued. At least the $20 seemed reasonable for what was offered. It's possible that Noor really shines if you order off the regular menu, and so I wouldn't rule out a return here. The next time I want a weekend lunch buffet, however, I think I'll stick to Taaza.

One of the best cocktail, bourbon and overall drink menu we've seen at an Indian restaurant in the area. Huge props to the bartender for making an excellent Oaxacan Old Fashioned. It was so good I had to have 2 ;-) The food was a bit mixed. Amazing samosa and butter chicken. Dipping the naan into the butter chicken and adding some raita on top was a flavor bomb in each and every bite. However, the chicken lollipops were very dry and tough to chew. I can see these being amazingly tasty had they been cooked properly. The chana masala was a bit mixed as well. The chickpeas melt in your mouth with excellent texture, but the dish overall lacked a little flavor. Again, something with a few tiny little tweaks would make it a 5 star dish. A great touch at the end though. The owner came by and asked if we wanted any dessert. We both said we were stuffed and couldn't put down any more food, which we really were. He insisted on bringing us something small. And boy were we pleasantly surprised. He brought over Gulab Jamun (milk powder fried soft balls soaked in honey and cardamom syrup). Man these were tasty! First time we've had them and now we are huge fans. We'd come back just for these.

And then I also chose the New Orleans, which holds all the standard veggies and the pátê but adds some srirachi-flavored pork to the mix. Prices were reasonable and so too was the prep time. Both sandwiches were flavorful and perfect choices for lunch on a reasonably hot day. There were around nine or so tables inside the restaurant, and a few of them were dirty, though staff did get them cleaned up by the time I left. And apparently the air conditioning was on the fritz, so the dining environment wasn't especially comfortable, though it was tolerable. Were it not for those issues, I'd probably go with a full five stars here. I'll definitely be back. And I wish we could get a proper banh mi like these over in Winston (where no one even seems to know what pátê is, much less that it belongs on these sandwiches), because I'd be a frequent customer.

The food alone is 5 stars, but the prices would raise the bar to 5+ stars if possible. The value you get for what you pay is amazing. Almost everything on the extensive menu is $11 or less, and many in the range of $6-$7 including my sandwich and spring rolls. When you're paying $15-$20 at many other places for the same thing, you can see the value here. Compare this to the rising costs in the fast food industry for significantly less quality food, and you can consider this a steal. Great spot for a quick lunch, takeout, or dinner with a few friends and family at a place that doesn't break the bank.

If you've ever dreamed of visiting Istanbul for authentic Turkish cuisine, you don't have to travel…read morethat far, just head to Zeeyum Kitchen on W. Market Street in Greensboro! After hearing so many great things, my family and I finally decided to try it this weekend, and all I can say is... WOW! What an incredible experience from start to finish. First, let me say that Zee, the owner and chef, is one of the most welcoming restaurateurs you'll ever meet. He not only prepares amazing food but also takes the time to personally greet his guests, making you feel like family the moment you walk in. We started with the Hummus and Fresh Flatbread, and it was absolutely outstanding, fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. Next came the Börek (Ground Beef and Feta Cheese). Think of it as the best, most flavorful "egg roll" you've ever had, but with authentic Turkish flair. Simply delicious! I had the Bugu Kebabi, served in a clay plate with red onions and tomatoes. Sealed with baked bread. I'm usually not a lamb person, but when Zee explained that the lamb is marinated for hours in an onion-based broth, I decided to step outside my comfort zone. I'm so glad I did! The lamb was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The presentation was also unique and memorable, with the delicate thin bread cut open right at the table. It was more than enough for my daughter and me to share. My wife ordered the Beyti Kebab, is a Turkish dish consisting of ground beef, grilled on a skewer and served wrapped in lavash and topped with yogurt sauce and butter sauce. Every single bite was bursting with amazing flavors. Another outstanding dish! All the desserts are to die for, many are imported from Turkey. Before you leave, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Turkish Coffee, Turkish Wines, or a Turkish Beers to complete the experience. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers healthy, authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced food, Zeeyum Kitchen should absolutely be on your list. The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there's plenty of convenient parking. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!!!

Rich, savory sauces, a menu that is a good guide. I had the Bugu Kebabi - slow cooked lamb in a glazed pot, sealed with a pita crust. If you like lamb you will love this. Kofte meatballs are also outstanding, if you prefer beef. There's a whole page of vegan dishes, as well Baklava selection is beyond words. All of us had a lovely time. Can't wait to repeat.

Our seats were in the main dining area, which is an absolute feast for the eyes. The area was super busy and crowded but you'd never know it because everything just flowed, like a well oiled machine. The food is EXCELLENT! We got a little bit of everything but the highlights were the Short Rib Sliders - popular at our table, and the small plates. The Blue Crab dip was very good and so was the arancini!

Our server was excellent, the wine list is impressive, my local beer was fantastic, and my wife enjoyed her wine. The food was where things slipped. My wife's wood-fired salmon was pretty good, but her vegetables came out with no seasoning at all. My wood-fired filet was cooked exactly right, but it also had no seasoning, and when you find yourself asking for steak sauce for a filet, something has gone wrong in the kitchen. Then the peach crumble showed up and stole the entire night. It is genuinely amazing, and I'd tell anyone within earshot to order it. Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks, and a dessert worth the trip. If the kitchen brings the seasoning up to the level of everything else, this is easily a four-and-a-half-star restaurant.
