Was in the neighborhood hiking the Rail Trail, and some local friends brought me here. Had a chicken breast with curry, and the flavors were very good, though the chicken was a little dry or overcooked. There were some wonderful smells coming from my friends' meals, and I plan to return to try some of the other dishes. BTW, the spiciness here tends to the very spicy side (the waiter warned us), and most of us at our table were satisfied with the spiciness level "little spicy". My cousin and I were in town on business and we saw Thai Diner on yelp and decided to give it a chance. We are so glad that we did. We first made sure that they took credit cards- the only one they do not accept is American Express, which is understandable. We walked in and were sat immediately. I enjoyed the very nice decor and appreciated the photos of all the dishes on the wall. It was very helpful! Also, the restaurant was very clean. We ordered the fresh rolls, pineapple fried rice, vegetable pad thai and green curry- little spicy (1). That "little spicy" was SUPER spicy- well to me and my cousin. Our waiter did warn us that their spicy was a bit different than other Thai restaurants. However, it was still delicious. My cousin and I enjoyed every dish that we had. The dishes were full of flavor, the portions were generous and our waiter was kind to take multiple trips to our table when he saw us sweating from the delicious yet spicy green curry. After we had our meal, we chatted with the kind waiter and he told us a few stories of a few people who got the level 4 spiciness level! I can't even imagine! Honestly, the main reason I decided to order from this place was because I was looking at reviews on here and saw the owner tell some idiot that left a shitty 1-star review (when they admitted the food was great) not to come back. It made me happy to see people in the industry standing up for themselves, which is definitely rare these days. Thankfully, the food was also great. I'd order from here again, I was surprised to find such good Thai food in the Lehigh Valley. This is the first Thai place we have found that we love since moving here from LA! The service is great, very clean and comfortable, and food has amazing flavors. Beware spicy hot is HOT. I usually order Thai hot and that almost comes close to the "spicy hot" depending on the place. We will definitely be back on the regular. The pad thai was great with the squeeze of lime. This is probably the best Thai food in the Lehigh Valley. Clean. Choice of spicy. Great variety. I like the duck here, duck anything. It's not all dried up like a 70 year old chain smokers skin like in most Asian restaurants in the Valley. Veggies fresh and clean. Sometimes the coconut chicken soup is great, sometimes not. It seems like they started to buy that stringy laid a thousand egg precut chicken for use in soups. I guess it's easier than cooking chicken for the soup. read more

Dumplings were very good, and even for take out, they took time in the presentation, placing the dumplings on some shredded Nappa cabbage. Fresh rolls were very big and extremely fresh and crisp. It's not much to look at and the parking lot is like car Tetris but it's a hidden gem. I wouldn't say it's the most amazing Thai I've ever had but it's definitely in the running every time I order take out. The larger menu is a welcome addition to the usual Thai take out landscape and the rotating chef specials are a nice touch. Pricing is average but the portion sizes are very generous. The service is super friendly and welcoming. I've only sat to eat once and I found the service to be very attentive. Thai diner is the greatest hidden gem you'll find in coplay. Hands down the best Thai food in the Lehigh valley. They are very friendly here and they have a great menu. The food is fresh and very authentic. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered from Thai diner. The duck salad is probably my favorite thing on the menu. We tried this after stumbling across it on yelp. The reviews are spot on. From the outside if you are not looking for it you may never notice it. However once you are inside it's an entirely different story. It is nicely decorated and has a small dining area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had the green curry pork and the crispy chicken pad Thai. They were both fantastic. The flavors were wonderful. Everything g was very fresh. You can pick the heat level that you would like. We went with "a little spicy" it was a good amount of heat. It's not a cheap meal however we had so much food that we left with about half of both meals so well worth the price. The food here is absolutely authentic. Just select your heat wisely I ordered the lobster pad Thai . I think it was delicious but my lips were numb. Next time a little less spicy. Ordered pick up from Yelp, which is a great way to order food. Food was ready on time and nice and hot. The crispy rolls are to die for. I wanted more!!! The pad pak was equally delicious. Definitely will be back and can't wait to try the rest of the menu. I have been to Thailand multiple times and I can say this food tasted like I was back again. Both times, I was thrilled to have a great last-minute meal choice to take the place of some boring standard take-out item. I got a large portion and great taste. The Thai Diner Chef Special was fantastic, with its really tasty ground chicken, fried egg, veggies, kickin' sauce, and rice. The Drunken Noodle dish was just as good. Another Friday night, another pizza? But wait! At the last minute I remembered Grubhub, and we ordered delivery from Thai Diner instead, and it was great! First, it got here 30 minutes before the estimate, piping hot. We had Scallion Pancakes and Dumplings for appetizers, and loved both. The Shrimp and Asparagus was well seasoned, but the sauce was a little thin and too much. The Crispy Chicken Pad Thai has become a new guilty favorite. Now that's comfort food! I have been a lurker for several years but had to break the ice when we discovered this hidden gem in Coplay, Pa. The food, owner and restaurant far exceeded our expectations when we pulled into the parking lot. My girlfriend had shrimp & mixed vegetable stir fry and I had shrimp red curry - both of which were delicious. The shrimp were plentiful and huge! We also split a Thai salad, which was served with peanut sauce and a house special - both on the side. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated and the owner was extemely attentive and friendly.
