Man I usually love this place. & I haven't had it in so long. As we temporarily moved to other side of town while our new house was getting ready for us. But was so excited after only a few days back in our old neighborhood to come grab a late night take out. Which I also ordered my absolute fav "mango sticky rice ". Which I ALWAYS get. Well I opened it up & started eating as normal & the mango was completely covering the rice to the point you couldn't even see any rice. No big deal. But as I took maybe 4-5 bites & tried to dig in for more rice I soon realized there was no more left. Only almost the whole mango left. It was so good as always just not nearly enough not even close to what it should be or normally is. And it's closed now. Just very disappointed as I have been craving & wanting this sooooo badly. Green walls, some artwork, nothing fancy really... but the food and service is fantastic. Lunch is weekdays from 11a-3p, ranging from $7.95-$8.95. I always opt to upgrade the soup for $2 more. It's worth it. I've had both TOM YUM and TOM KHA, but personally love the latter. It's coconut, sweet, and fresh. I add a little rice to it. My favorite dish would have to be the THAI SPICY BASIL. You have your option of protein. I usually choose beef or chicken. I've tried the GARLIC AND PEPPER made with chicken and also the YELLOW CURRY with chicken. They don't use much red chili peppers or gingers in their cuisines. Some places add them heavily, but this place focuses on balance of taste and sweetness. Not overly salty either. Television is turned on with cooking channel playing and beautiful Thai modern pop music playing in the background. We will definitely come back again. Easy and convenient walking location. You can tell it was made to order and NOT prepare 5 hours ago. They don't offer any meat or tofu in it, which I totally don't mind at all! The peanut sauce is cold , not hot , and I liked that. It's been hit on Vegas... and I loved the flavor combination. Now ... let's get to the authentic , EPIC yellow curry! You get to choose you meat here , so I chose tofu. A TON AND TON of tofu and veggies. The Tofu was perfectly pressed as not to be mushy and not to be fried to death! Absolutely perfect. The sauce ( I died and went to Thai heaven ) so amazing.... and then I brought in the rice with the yellow curry ( comes with it ) and took it to a whole new level!! If you can imagine that! Whoa!!!! My wife and I stopped in here this afternoon about 3:45 PM. It's a small quiet restaurant, at least it was quiet while we were there. There were two other parties at other tables. The service isfriendly and quick and the food is absolutely delicious. It was served within 5-7 minutes of ordering. We had the Tom Kha soup with shrimp. The soup was filled with large shrimp, mushrooms and delicious flavors of coconut and lemongrass. Thai fried rice with barbecue pork and Pad Thai with shrimp. We don't do much spice in our dishes, as we are both wimps (lol). The food was served, hot and fresh, and the service was refreshingly friendly. This is by far the worst Thai place to eat in Las Vegas. I would avoid this establishment at all cost. Already contacted the Better Business Bureau and the health department as well because they deserve a grade of F. First, what's on their menu is not what's on their menu and when you pointed out to an employee because you're trying to order said item, they get an attitude and tell me I guess they need to update their menus . Duh! But it's on your menu and that's what you give to the customers that's what you should be making. You barely get a half of a teaspoon full of sweet-and-sour sauce. When you order eggrolls and crab ragoons they give you no sauce at all and when they do, it's barely any to even cover one eggroll. The mango sticky rice tasted very off, like something is not right, and I actually end up getting sick over it. I called to speak to a manager and no one in charge there at all. I asked for a call back not once. Did I receive a call back. This is our go-to neighborhood Thai joint. The food is always good and the prices are so reasonable compared to other Thai spots in the vicinity. Their curries are our favorites, especially the yellow curry and masaman curry. Don't sleep on their Nom Yen, it's a refreshing pink drink that tastes like bubblegum.
