FRESH SALAD ROLL - no veggies other than lettuce! So disappointing.
    Amanda W.

This is my second time coming to this cart. The first time was fine, I got the pad kee mao and my partner got curry. This time I got the coconut shrimp which were absolutely delicious (5 star) but what I'm here about are the fresh salad rolls (1 star). From the menu: soft rice paper rolls filled w/ fresh vegetables & served w/ sweet chili sauce & ground peanuts. Tofu 7. These rolls had a measly stick of tofu in the middle and ONLY LETTUCE! What the heck!? When I read "fresh vegetables" I expect more than lettuce, especially for $7. I know they've got other veggies in that cart! Where are the carrots? Bell pepper? Cucumber? Literally ANYTHING else!? Steer straight away from this menu item my friends, it's entirely disappointing. The service was fast and friendly enough, but I am so shook by this veggie-gate that I worry about wasting my money there going forward.

Highly recommend a new food truck! Thai Fusion at 2690 Willamette. We had Beef Cashew, Pork Katsu and Pineapple Rice. The owner "G" is a great guy, super friendly and quick service. Give it a try, you will love it!

All I can say is wow, this place is fantastic. If anyone is looking for good fresh Thai food come to Thai Fusion. I got the Pad Kra Pao and it was cooked to perfection the chicken and vegetables were cooked perfectly. My girlfriend got the shrimp salad and the shrimp was delicious fresh and light.

We discovered Thai Fusion when we discovered Drop Bear Brewing, what a great collaboration. The food truck is just steps away from the brewery and right now it even has a covered area around the ordering window with a couple seats. Very nice in the Oregon weather where things can change by the minute. We ordered our usual - pad kee mao with chicken medium spice level (3 on their scale) and pad se ew with chicken, mild spice. And of course, traditional thai iced tea. They gave us a buzzer so we could go sit at the brewery and not worry about anyone calling our names and not hearing them. The dishes came out in compostable bowls which I LOVED. I'm sure they cost extra for this business but is such a great idea, especially given how many people still think it is ok to litter. They even had matching composting lids for the bowls when we couldn't finish. The serving sizes were decent and I felt the size and quality of the food was reflected in the prices. I enjoyed my food greatly, just the right amount of spice and good veggies, cuts of chicken and noodles. Definitely will return. I felt the menu was good and not over or under-whelming with the number of options to choose from. The iced tea was delicious and went with my food well. The service we received was thoughtful and nice as well, I felt like they genuinely cared about the business and their customers.

Pad se ew with chicken and chicken fried rice. So good!!

I wish I could give this truck 6 stars! The food is so fresh, delicious and the owner is one of the nicest people you'll meet. This truck sits next to a brewery on Willamette street. We had the salad rolls with tofu, coconut shrimp, pad se ew with chicken and chicken fried rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and the slice level was perfect for us. I like just a hint of spice and the mild spice level was exactly that. We also liked the Thai iced tea because it wasn't too sweet. We can't wait to come back and order some curry! There were multiple daily specials too which looked amazing. I highly recommend giving this new food truck a try sooner than later.

The guys who run this new food truck on Willamette are the nicest, most welcoming bunch. They are hard-working and their food is delicious. Our favorites are the spicy basil fried rice (pad kra pao) and mixed vegetables with chicken or tofu. They really do a wonderful job with the spices and everyone we've brought here loves the food. A friend loves the Panang curry. I also tried their tonkatsu, but it came without rice (just breaded pork slices in a box), so you'll have to order something else to accompany it. We look forward to trying more dishes. The prices are very reasonable: $12/13 a dish.

Ordered two pad thai (one chicken, one tofu), pumpkin curry (chicken), and pineapple fried rice (shrimp). Let's just say no one in our party spoke until we'd wolfed down more than half of our perfectly spiced food. No leftovers at all! Cannot wait to sample more of thre menu!

My breakfast from the Hay Y'all food truck in Eugene arrived with promise, and in many ways, it delivered. The flavors were thoughtful, deliberate, and undeniably well executed. The pecan-crusted chicken was juicy, its crust confident and well seasoned. The French toast was rich without excess. The biscuits were fluffy and deeply comforting, and the gravy--pepper-forward yet restrained--was balanced precisely to my taste. This is food made by someone who understands flavor. And yet, cuisine is not merely flavor. It is temperature, proportion, and expectation meeting reality. Despite picking up my order immediately and driving no more than two minutes home, nearly everything arrived lukewarm--hovering uncomfortably between hot and forgotten. This was the single greatest disappointment, as warmth would have elevated every component substantially. Food like this begs to be eaten hot, not merely remembered as such. Portion size, particularly for the pecan-crusted chicken and French toast, also fell short of what had been promised--if not verbally, then visually. Online images suggest generosity: three, sometimes four pieces of chicken. My plate held two, both smaller than expected. The price remains reasonable, but I would gladly pay slightly more to receive portions that align with those expectations. The accompanying fruit, while a pleasant gesture, felt miscast. Tart strawberries and under-ripe pineapple did little to complement the dish. In January, this is forgivable--but perhaps a preserve or jam would serve the plate better, offering harmony rather than contrast. And yet, I find myself conflicted. Because despite these shortcomings, the food is good. More than good. It is thoughtful, balanced, and clearly prepared with care. With accurate portioning and food served properly hot, this meal would easily earn four, perhaps even five stars. I know this. For that reason, while my immediate, emotional reaction rests closer to a three or three-and-a-half out of five, I am rating this experience a four out of five stars. The quality of the cooking warrants generosity, even when execution falters. I was there very early, right at opening, and I recognize that busy mornings can challenge even capable kitchens. I will return. Not out of optimism, but out of confidence--because when food is this well conceived, it deserves another chance to be served as intended.

I went in expecting a quick bite and left wondering if I should cancel my flight and commit to a long-term relationship with their menu. The service was the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit: attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing it. You know, the sweet spot most places miss by a mile. The ambiance strikes that rare balance: polished enough to feel like you made a good decision, but relaxed enough that no one's judging you for aggressively enjoying your curry. Now, the portions. Let's just say I arrived hungry and quickly realized I had made a tactical error by also having a flight to catch. The plates are generous. Borderline ambitious. Under different circumstances I would've happily taken half of it home. And the price? Genuinely refreshing. You get high-quality food, generous portions, and excellent service without that subtle sting of regret when the bill arrives. It feels almost suspiciously reasonable. I walked in trying to kill time before a flight and walked out wondering if I should start scheduling layovers in Eugene on purpose.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was bustling. We got seated right away at a booth with a window view. My waitress was an older Asian lady. She was very nice, not too talkative, but she was on top of her things. I was craving soup and decided on the highly recommended tom kha with tofu. To start, we had thai tea, thai coffee and the shrimp triangle. For our entrees, we decided on the pad see eu (they spell it pad se eu here), panang curry. The shrimp triangles were very yummy. Definitely get those. The thai tea and coffee was good, but just a little watered. I expected the taste to last in my mouth for a little bit. But it didn't. For the soup, I was excited to taste the soup! It smelled really good and it was boiling hot. My thought after my first sip of Tom Kha was, ok, this is good, they got it, but it just wasn't quite there. I couldn't pinpoint what was missing. Then I figured out that they didn't use full coconut milk. It was just a little bit and it was the lighter version. How disappointing! I wanted the robust tang, spice and coconut like how I have at home. The entrees made me sad. I really, really wanted to love it. The panang curry should be rich, thick and creamy. Instead it was soupy. I was really expecting and wanting the curry to stick to my rice, but instead it made soupy curry rice. My daughter pointed out that the curry and the tom kha soup was the same color and consistency. I didn't want to believe, but I think they used the same base and added the appropriate toppingss and seasonings to make a soup and a curry. My saddest dish was my last one that came out. It was the pad se eu. The wide rice noodles was wet and in broken pieces. I'm Asian and I'm from Vegas via Hawaii which means we have a lot of Asian cuisines, we know our food and have friends who work in high end Thai restaurants. (Think Lotus of Siam) When rice noodles break into smaller pieces, it means the noodles are probably not fresh and got hard. To soften, the cook used extra water and the heat was not high enough to cook, so it stuck to pan, making the cook mix it around more...broken wet noodles that doesn't brown. Overall, I really wanted to love this place. It has potential. Maybe it was an off day but on that day I went, it didn't give me the wow I expected. Most of the items has the taste on point. Please don't water down the curry or use lower fat coconut cream. I'm not used to having regular brocolli in thai food either, but I guess this is what Eugene likes or what we can get. And people, share your food! Thai food is family style! Share it! Put it in the middle of the table and let the other person have some! I was people watching around my table and my table was the only one that didn't have our own entree per person. lol
