It's limited parking right in front of restaurant, Food~Appetizers are delicious, piping hot, literally waited 5-7 mins to arrive fresh! Service-The waitress is absolute amazing funny and so very sweet. We asked for a pitcher of ice water she bought the pitcher w/ ice and no water. She says "anything else?!" We said yes the water! We laughed for a least 5 mins Main Course- Crab Fried Rice is absolutely amazing, flavorful, and piping hot once again! Pick up at window at a small neighborhood shopping center building so ambiance not part of it. We've gotten take out from there in the past, maybe a year or so ago and it was a lot better then. We were both disappointed. I said medium hot and it was not at all, not even mild. Her seafood combo was paltry, the shrimp was from a can and the sauce looked hoisin like but tasted like grayish brown, like it color. read more

This place is consistent, very good and they always give large portions. Have been going here for years. When I don't have the time to sit and eat, I'll grab it to go. I've ordered from this Thai restaurant four times. Their portions are large (28oz on the pad Thai container) but the prices kind of reflect that. Today I ordered the pad Thai. The pad Thai wasn't the best but it kept well- I came back and updated, it was holding up pretty well a day later. However, the toppings are sparse, it's just beansprouts and green onion with a single lime wedge no peanuts and no cilantro. The noodles are rubbery, the chicken tastes like it is both under and over cooked, the flavor of the pad Thai is giving tomato somehow although there isn't much sauce on this at all, yet it's greasy. It's actually pretty dry otherwise. I recommend not ordering their pad Thai but the lemongrass chicken is good and so is the peanut sauce curry which is why I am rating three stars. read more

Based upon the website photo, I ordered the garlic shrimp with broccoli. Looks like a stir-fry, right? In reality, it was a peanut soup with flavorless old shrimp, almost no broccoli, and a bunch of krinklecut carrots and cabbage. The side of steamed rice was mushy, tasteless, and inedible. I live in the area and have always wanted to get take out here. Excellent service at the take out window, very personable. There's always so much I want to order but seeing it was a solo night and my dog already ate, I went with curry chicken and veggie pad Thai noodles. #53 #20 respectively Creamy yellow sauce and plenty of scrumptious pad noodles. I use the white rice to buffer the yellow sauce so it doesn't migrate into the noodles. It's a must for taste bud divisions. You really need to try this spot out. I'll be back. Cheers. read more

Take out only and perfect for my route from work to home. I recently had a huge order of their delicious food for approximately 25 graduate students, all hungry. The food was hot, perfectly prepared, and ready when Thai Ginger said it would be ready. Excellent service, quality, and reasonable prices. I'm a fan and will always be back for more. read more

9 times out of 10 my family gets takeout from here. We order the same thing every time. Every time it's to die for. I'm not saying it's not a good place for people who want to try new foods, but for people who don't wanna try new food and stick to something solid, go here. read more

First of all the Thai Restaurant is listed as Dine in or Take Out. Well I discovered that it is a to go only. They do have several sets of wooden picnic tables out side. They were all very dirty and difficult to sit in. The food was so so. Lets just say I had to go to the bathroom over and over again after my lunch. The food didn't taste bad but it wasn't exceptionally good. They offer water bottles for $2.50 but I walked across the street to the store to buy a beverage while I waited. read more

Only pick up available. The taste was authentic but not as pronounced as I would like. The house special seafood only had shrimp and calamari rings. The Gaeng Gae curry is a sweet coconut base. Nothing was too daring as to overwhelm anyone who has never tried Thai. Used the grubhub feature. Even though I got an error message, I am glad when I called they recognized it was a duplicate order because the online order actually went through. Service was great while we dined in! Lots of space to dine in and a couple of tables to eat outside if you want to. I like that they have a separate window for to go orders. Food was very yummy and came quick. We got the house special lemongrass chicken pad Thai with peanut sauce and the chicken pad see eww to eat while we had the thai tea and Thai iced coffee to drink. Serving size was good for price and we had plenty to take home in leftovers. Would definitely come back to support this local business :) read more

Stopped by for take out and was pleased to find their store locked and a walk up window available to prevent exposure in the store. Called in an order right when they opened and drove over to pick up. I got the yellow curry with chicken which was different than other places as it had broccoli in it - delish! Pot stickers was slightly soft due to steam in the box - they did cut the corner back to allow steam to leave but the ones on the bottom of the container was sacrificed. We've never been over impressed with this Thai eatery, but we ordered quite a few times because it's super convenient. About a year ago we noticed the quality and flavors weren't as good as we remembered. The last time we ordered take out, the food was actually inedible, and I threw it away after trying to eat the first half. We recently switched to Sawan in Kenton and are much happier with our new Thai food purveyor. read more

Finally got a chance to check this place out on a recent trip up to Portland. They are open for pick up during this time of COVID. I called the order in and was told the food would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived on time and the food was hot and ready. The gentleman at the window was incredibly friendly and made me feel like I've been eating here for years! He made a point to wipe everything down and provide me with a clean pen to sign the receipt. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Yellow Curry with chicken, Chicken Satay and spring rolls. I was really impressed with the quality of the food, large portions and especially the price (very reasonable). We had leftovers for the next few days. My dad was such a big fan that he asked me to run back again two days later for another order of the spring rolls and chicken satay. This is now one of my new favorite spots in the neighborhood! read more

I've had many things off the menu here and my favorites so far have been any of the soups and curries! I really love getting the Tom Kha on cold rainy nights or when feeling slightly under the weather. It's spicy and the lemongrass is perfect for itching the scratch at the back of your throat when you're feeling a little bleh. The spice levels are sometimes inconsistent between mild, medium and hot but the flavor is always good. I usually stick with the medium. The yellow curry is good for that sweet/spicy flavor, the panang is best when medium spicy I think. The pad Thai is better above a mild and the pad see ew is good but not my favorite. read more

My wife had one of their Thai specials, a ginger mixed stir fry seafood dish she said was absolutely terrific. I had a panang nua dish - coconut, green curry and beef. Fabulous! We'd had these same dishes a couple of years ago and it's still consistently great. Take out at side wall window. Very friendly people. read more

Favorite Thai spot in Portland!! Delicious food at reasonable and affordable prices. My family has always loved coming here & appreciate the personable staff. We've ordered from Thai Ginger countless times during Covid. This place is the best. We love it. We've never ordered anything we haven't liked. Their Tom Kha Soup is our favorite thing on the menu. Recommend medium spice if you like it hot as soup carries spice really well. Hot is also good but more of an "experience". For other entrees hot is the the way to go. Also check out the pineapple coconut fried rice, soooo good. Love this place. Just writing about it makes me want to order more right now. The funny thing is we've never been to the physical location, we drove by it the other day and it looks like an unassuming spot in a strip mall. Appearances can be deceiving. We are greeting letting us know to come to the front of the counter to order although the sign says Please wait to be seated. A little confusion but with smiles, so we are happy. They are moving chairs... sit here..or here. A stack of menus by the point of sale...but you know this place is good by the smells, laughter and the smiles, the vibe...you want to be here everything is moving smooth. The person same person that guided us with the menu also delivered one of the dishes. We order some Thai ice teas, Pad see ew and Tom kha gai. The noodles fat wide on the Pad see ew. Some veggies huge bomb shrimp cooked perfectly, everything cooked spot on. The soup cream coconut flavors a little steamy on the cool day in Portland. Great tasting. They stop by to drop off the food and come by later delivering spices and checking on us. A bustling place. I see an egg plant dish.. must try that... the crowd is upscale... the food some of Portland's finest.

They checked on me three times, which was sweet. The larb appetizer was a generous portion -- probably enough for five or six people! It was also tasty, with the flavors of fish sauce, lime and chili blending nicely. There were some nice chunks of chilis visible. The mixed seafood Pad Khi-Mao (their spelling of a dish I've seen spelled a number of different ways) was also delicious. Fiery, loaded with umami and balanced by basil, onions, scallions and tomato. The textures were perfect: the shrimp and calamari were firm, but not chewy. The scallops were perfectly tender, and the noodles toothsome. I loved every bite of my favorite Thai dish. Service was friendly and quick.

They were super tender, so juicy, literally the most perfect meatballs. Topped with some kind of cream sauce and lots of fresh green onion, it was perfect. I also got the massaman curry with tofu, which was a very generous portion! It was a good curry! And I loved the default rice not being plain white rice, mine had some kind of sprouted grain that (I feel like lol) made it more appetizing and fulfilling. But again truly get the meatballs.
