Soooo.. the service is great and the nigori saki is yummm... the crab rangoons are delicious... soooo with that said, let me review my garlic chicken and hubby's shrimp teriyaki.. both plates were so full of green beans that aren't cooked and just the taste of them isn't our cup of tea...they were both loaded with them and we had to pick them all out.. by the time we took all the raw green beans out of both meals we had a whole cup of them that they bring your rice in...wayyyyy to much... the garlic sauce is runny and tasted like water with no flavor at all... I also go the miso vegggie soup and it was also so bland I had to pour soy sauce and salt in it to even have any taste at all... very disappointed.. I also got a ginger salad with extra ginger dressing and it was so runny I had to pour the juices from it into a glass...and to top it off the prices for their food that tasted like absolutely nothing I'd NEVER GO BACK FOR... they got me something else other than the garlic chicken and I got lo mein instead to go... I checked it and it looked ok, but yet again just plain noodles with chicken and some veggies...ughhh... I so wanted to like this place but the foods so bland I wouldn't recommend it at all.. great service tho and fast...just not tasty at all... Lunch food is so so, plain and lower quality compared to dinner. Would assume less quantity not lower quality. I went with my lady friends for lunch. The waitress rolled the tip into the bill but she did not let people know. Some of my friends tipped again on top of the already inflated bill. It was NOT nice. Not the best and not the worst. I'm a super sushi fan and have tried places all over the area. I am not a California roll ordering sushi newb. I've had it all and love trying new stuff. I always judge a sushi place based on the amount of raw rolls they have. It speaks to how fresh their fish is.... How fast they turn the fish. This place had a decent amount, but more baked and versions of California and tempura. I got the sea of love roll, hurricane roll and escolar sushi. I have never ever had a bad piece of escolar. I took one bite of the escolar and it was obviously not fresh a long time ago. The sea of love roll was pretty good, but I'm guessing it is because it was covered in sauce and tempura flakes. I had to douse the hurricane roll in spicy mayo and Siracusa to get it down. With a few other great places in the area, why would I return to this one? Something about oriental restaurant are interesting. You order the food about within 5-7 minutes all the foods shows up . These included appetizers main meal . I ordered salmon with ginger sauce however it was Thai chili sauce , I guess waitress decide I should have her choice .Salmon was very dry almost needed steak knife . I just don't think this chili sauce is good on salmon I tried to eat but it was painful to swallow . I just could not just tried to cool it down with rice . Based on some of the reviews and ratings, I was a bit disappointed with the quality and flavor of the food. Garlic chicken seemed bland to me, lacking salt and noticeable seasoning. My preference is not to drown my food in soy sauce, but rather to enjoy the authentic preparation of a dish. With several dishes, this was not possible. I also ordered volcano chicken, avocado, and vegetable sushi (a bit dry), which were OK, but did not taste as fresh as in other Asian cuisine restaurants. By far my favorite Thai restaurant in Melbourne county. Their Pad Thai and Fried Rice separate themselves by their relative quality. They don't hold back on the spice levels like a lot of other locations and the restaurant always feels cozy and clean. The staff is always pleasant. They have a wide variety of sushi rolls as well as other foods like hibachi, Thai, etc. Their rolls are a nice size & I appreciate that they're well put together. Nothing is worse than sloppy sushi that's falling apart! Their soup is also tasty & cheap. Only complaint is some of the sushi is a bit salty & I'm not sure what in it is making it that way. This is my favorite restaurant right now. We've dined in and ordered carry out. Every time has been perfect. The service is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. Our regular waitress always remembers us and what we like which is so personal and makes me feel valued. And the food is sooooo tasty and reasonably priced. We always go to Thai Hana when we chose Thai food. They know the American pallet so the food is quite mild. I'm sure that can change with a minor request. Their menu is quite extensive so if you are not familiar with Thai food take a while to peruse it. We love the fact that the servers make an effort to get to know you. Happy hour is 7pm and on. Buy one roll get one half off equal or lesser value. Our table of 3 made the mistake of ordering 2 rolls each. Well....all 3 of us ate only 3 rolls out of the 6....may i WARN you that the portions are RIDICULOUSLY LARGE! We ordered a santa roll, monster, lobster popcorn (made with a whole lobster tail on top, not the crawfish tails), and MJ roll, ocean hair, and sea of love. ALL AMAZING! We had a very attentive staff. Restaurant is very busy and it is a place I'd definitely return to every time i visit Florida. Our total for all 6 massive rolls came out to $70 bucks. The employees were very nice and cordial. We were there on Sunday, 21st, at 5:39 pm. We were taken to our table and we noticed it was warm inside the restaurant. Not a good start. We ordered: California Roll & Egg Roll as the appetizers, and the Combo Teriyaki Dinner as our main course. We received all three at the same time. We wanted to enjoy our company and also have a comfortable time out. It appeared we were being rushed to eat and leave since everything was served at once. That was not right. The restaurant is warm, be ready for that when you come. The California Roll was good. By the time it came to the Egg Roll, it was cold (okay, something could have been said, but we're with another couple). We ordered as the appetizers. As for the Combo Teriyaki Dinner. We did mention to our server, we were sharing and we wanted an extra plate. We received one small bowl of rice. Granted, the meal is sold for one person. How much would have it cost to give us enough rice for two (Other restaurants don't think twice and will serve a large portion of rice since their money is on the customer being happy...and hopefully coming back). As for the dinner... two quarter slices of zucchini, four shrimp, six half slices of carrots, fifteen or so green beans, really over-done flat beef, and really over-done large slices of chicken was all served on a plate with a pool of what is supposed to be teriyaki soup(?). The pool was mostly soy sauce and water. All that and it was warm. This dish could be very nicely served with a actual teriyaki sauce, chicken and beef with a flavor, and vegetables all on a plate. This was not the case. We felt that were there to eat and go. If this all happened again, the order would have been for California Roll...stop. Then order the egg rolls...stop. and then decide to order something else. That way we could have had an enjoy first experience of a meal at this restaurant. As for the prices, the meal and drinks should have been 25% less for what we received.. A large sake costing close to $10...please! Close to $4 for an iced tea, Tea is cheap. A whole bottle of sake cost $10. Yes, it costs $$ to have a business, but why scalp the customer? Vegetables aren't that expensive either. Don't you want us to tell other people? It's not the first time the customer comes to your restaurant...it's the next time. Turn on the air! read more
