Food was still good, but service has become extremely rushed (under new management?) It's a very small restaurant with only a few tables so they probably need quick turnover, but the high pressure rush has gone far overboard. Instead of asking about drink refills etc the service is solely focused on rushing diners thru, clearing plates and getting you the check fast so they can clean the table and move to the next customer. They were literally removing plates before we could finish, sometimes without even asking. If you're a speed eater this might be the place for you. For me, it is no longer a relaxing or enjoyable dining experience. We likely won't be making a drive back. read more

Today while visiting Melbourne we sought Thai for lunch. Thai Hana was a very pleasant surprise. It's tucked into the backside of a shopping center, but that doesn't seem to deter business. At lunch customers kept pouring in for takeout & to eat in. I chose Panang Curry Tofu. First they brought out a chilled ginger-carrot salad that defines delicious. Then my entree arrived. I loved it! The veggies were so fresh, which isn't always the case at other restaurants. They were briefly cooked but still retained crispness. The tofu was lightly fried making it much firmer & better than soft tofu. The sauce was outstanding. Some Thai restaurants overdo the fish sauce mixed in. In this case I didn't discern any fish sauce, so it was superb. Thai Hana has my vote. read more

I went because everyone said this was the place. It is a place but maybe not THE place. It is small and I think we had three different waitresses to help us. Normally I would be like YEAH. But they did not share info so they were not as effective as they could have been. The AC was cranking so bring a jacket. We got right in BUT at 5 pm we got the last table. We ordered up some chicken katsu, two rolls, and the 12 piece sushi dinner. They bring out a ton of food. It was more than the three of us could eat. I was very pleased with the sushi dinner. They cut each piece of nigiri in half and so you have 24 bites. It looks good. The flavor was good and the fish seemed fresh. The tuna roll that came with it was unremarkable. The two special rolls we got were HUGE. be warned. LARGE ROLLS. They were really good. The chicken katsu was very good too. I am holding off on the fifth star until I try the Thai side of the menu. I've had way better Thai food back home in South Florida. My coworkers and I stopped in for lunch on the way to Jacksonville for business and after eating came to the conclusion that we should've kept trucking. The only reason we stopped was because the Thai restaurant we wanted to stop to wasn't open on Sunday's; bummer. I ordered the beef noodle and it was as flavorless as it could be. No matter what I added, it was still flavorless. However, the goyza's (or whatever they called them) were delicious and so was the Thai tea. I probably should've went with the bento box lunch special that one of my coworkers ordered but everything was either raw or included something I didn't like and I didn't want to hold the table up from ordering. Excellent meal every time! Tonight we got the Monkey Brain appetizer. Delicious crispy crunch on the outside, and yummy crab and tuba on the inside. My main entree was panang curry with chicken. There's a number of combinations for bento boxes, a nice appetizer list, and individual sushi and sashimi and rolls. My husband really enjoyed his Miami Roll which is topped with eel. She had the drunken noodles, I had the mango curry with chicken, and the avenue roll. Everything was delicious...so many perfect aromas and a great balance between sweet and savory. My sister and I go here every time I'm in Florida. I've never had a bad meal. Started with Tom yum shrimp and Thai spicy lemongrass soup. Followed by lobster volcano: katsu style Cali roll topped with lobster tempura, baked spicy seafood, masago, spicy mayo and eel sauce, with wasabi and pickled ginger slices. Everything delicious, but I really wish when serving soup with seafood in it, they'd take the tails off the shrimp in the kitchen so that the customers don't have to get their fingers wet and ruining the eating experience. I'm honestly never disappointed coming here. It's one of the best places for sushi. It's a nice little hole in the wall place in viera near kohl's. Nice relaxed and intimate setting. The service this time was not the best, but the food was great. Came and got the $14.95 bento box. It came with 1 speciality roll, another regular roll, I got chicken and garlic, and a small salad. The sushi, again when I see so many rolls w cream cheese..... it's a red flag. I forget the name of the roll I got, tempura shrimp, eel, avocado, cheese (which I had removed). My roll had eel, but there was very little in it. It was so sweet. The food was good, not bad. But its not the best Thai or the best sushi. I've never had faster service at a restaurant before- the servers are attentive and the food comes out quick. Although the food comes out quick, it always tastes fresh and high quality.
