    Jb Tempura Roll

This is our regular spot. Whenever we going out to eat, this is always on the list. My husband grew up in a Thai restaurant and this place is legit. Some of our favorites are the pad see ew and the sushi is the best in town (Recommend the Sunset roll and the JB Tempura roll). Our kids love the tempura and one of them has started getting hooked on the sushi. Everything we have tried has been perfect. The staff is also outstanding, treats us and our kids like part of the family. My kids love Sonny! Top recommendation for me in Alamosa, Colorado

Mushy rice from a dragon roll

Super disappointed in tonight's sushi. Got a dragon roll and a tuna rock. Rice must have been mushed together first before putting the roll together. $30 wasted This place was good at one time. We've come for awhile but sadly this is probably the last order I will make. I'm all about supporting local businesses but I'm better waiting to hit the city for some good fresh sushi.

Confused this spot for Thai Hut. GO TO THAI HUT! We ordered the crab rangoons, pork gyoza, spicy chicken wings, pad thai, pad see ew, pad kee mao, a bloody mary and a thai tea. The appetizers were all decent and edible but nothing special. The pad thai does not come with bean sprouts or lime which was weird, but this was edible and will get your pad thai cravings satisfied. The pad see ew was flavorless and the pad kee mao was also not very good. If you're going to order an entree get it with just chicken or tofu, the beef wasn't good and the shrimp (as long as you like it fishy) made the entire dish have no flavor other than shrimp. My friend said the bloody mary did not taste like anything so we sent it back and they did not remake it and still charged us. We asked if it could get taken off the bill since we did not drink it and they said they had already used the ingredients to make it so they could not take it off the bill. Pass on this spot.

Second Visit. Had a 2pm lunch at Thai House. Service was so much better by the lone gentleman in the restaurant's front end. He was very attentive and checked on us a couple of times. As expected, food was delicious. This is now my favorite Asian restaurant in the San Luis Valley.

Amazing food and service here on our way home from the sand dunes. Had a manny roll, thai pepper steak (favorite!), pineapple fried rice with chicken, beef satay, and to drink Thai coffee smoothie and a Thai tea smoothie (favorite #2) and it was all incredible!! Came out super fast too. Five stars! Can't wait to return.

This place is a joke. Go to Thai hut down the street if you want quality Thai food. No question.

I've only had the buffet, but I think it's superior to the other Chinese buffet in town.

Big menu... sushi, teriyaki, noodle bowls, salads, etc etc We had tom kha gai (coconut soup with chicken), salmon teriyaki and red curry. Soup had good flavor, lots of chicken & plenty of veggies. Salmon was tasty with carrots, cabbage & broccoli. Red curry was VERY GOOD! The star of the show tonight. We drained every drop! Seasoned well for us...a touch of heat and very flavorful. Sadly, no room for dessert... I was eying the Sticky Rice. ;) The table next to us ordered lots of sushi as we were leaving & had obviously been here before. :) Would definitely eat here again!

We didn't get a very peaceful dinner due to the souped-up motors, but it was mostly enjoyable. My significant other and I agree that the sushi place down the street is just a little bit better, but not by much. This place used to exist across the street and further down the road. I verified that with our friendly and efficient host/waiter. Here was our supper of the things I actually tried: Spring rolls ($5.95) - they were okay. My daughter who ordered them wasn't a fan. Crab rangoon - good ($5.95) Egg rolls - really good ($5.95) Mince pork noodle soup - it tasted decent, but I can see why my daughter preferred her pork not minced ($10.95) Top Model roll - very tasty ($15.95) Thai iced tea - way too sweet for me. I didn't even have boba ($3.95). Taro boba tea - not too sweet. The boba was nice & chewy ($5.50). I'd go here again if a friend chose the spot. I'd stick to sushi. No rice noodles for me!

Where we sat, there were steps down and you can watch all the cars drive by on a one-way street. The decor was tasteful. The men's and women's restrooms were actually part of a shared area of the building which has a couple more businesses and another restroom, but they were a short walk away. There were times when it was super quiet and awkward with the nerd group who sat near us because the music stopped playing for about 10 minutes. What was the cowboy talking about? Roping older bulls that were fighting between fences in the mountains. Lol. Hope they enjoyed that discussion. Moving onto the food... Here is what we ordered: + Pineapple Sake Tinis ($9 each) - good alternative to just straight sake + Soft shell crab app ($10.95) - these were deep fried which the cowboy never had before. He liked them a lot. I thought they were okay. + Super Spider Man Roll ($14.95) - I tried a couple of pieces, but it was mainly for my significant other. Here's what it entailed: "Softshell crab tempura, asparagus, lettuce, masago, mayo, cream cheese, surimi, topped with eel sauce." + Beauty's Rainbow Roll ($13.95) - I chose this one and I'm glad I did. This was their description: "Surimi, cream cheese, avocado, topped with tuna, salmon, hamachi, fish egg, sesame seed." + Masago sashimi ($6) - just tried this sashimi style because I had never had it and didn't want rice to mask its natural flavor. It was alright. With soy sauce and wasabi it was better. Would probably not order it again, though, unless it was paired with something else... not sure what. There is another sushi place down the street. I'll be trying it next time to see how it compares to Siam. Otherwise, I would definitely suggest this place for a change of place whilst in Alamosa, CO. :) RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4
