Service was nice and friendly. They had the football game on their tv which was nice for customers to enjoy. Their menu is extensive and they have a lunch special as well. I order the pad kee mow which was tasty and I finished the whole portion. The veggies felt undercooked IMO but otherwise I liked the ratio of noodles to veggies and protein. They spicy Thai fried rice had a very similar flavor to pad kee mow, if not the same seasonings. Sam veggie as well. I thought the portions were just okay considering the price point of the food. I ordered the Chicken Curry ($17.95 - Lunch Special). It's spicy yellow curry with juicy chicken, tender potatoes, and carrots in coconut milk. The Lunch Special also includes a drink (selected Thai iced tea), steamed rice, and a small salad. To my immense surprise, it's very delicious!! Thai House (Monterey Park) has very talented chefs! (Quick Note: Lunch Special is served Monday - Friday from 11AM to 3PM.) I arrived at Thai House (Monterey Park) on Friday (around 1:15PM). Parking is convenient since the lot is big. However, traffic congestion is bothersome; cars move slowly at times because it's located by a busy Costco. Staff is the low point of this experience. Staff (receipt says Samantha) is terse, anxious, and difficult to wave down. Compared to many other restaurants, the Staff at Thai House (Monterey Park) felt very inexperienced. Samantha never offered water; Samantha never checked on me; Samantha always vanished; and I had to walk across the business just to waive down any Staff member to get the bill. Concerning the food time, my meal arrived within seven minutes and 24 seconds. Very fast! As mentioned, I absolutely adored the Chicken Curry ($17.95 - Lunch Special). Its potatoes are soft and tender; the rice is clean and hungrily absorbs the curry's broth; the curry is well-seasoned and flavorful with a spicy punch; and the juicy chicken fell apart easily in my mouth. I happily feasted. In addition, I was pleasant surprised at the Thai tea's good quality. It's not watered down; rather, the bold & crisp flavor of tea shined confidently. Concerning the salad, it's generic; if you imagined wet lettuce, your mind is correct. Regarding ambiance, Thai House (Monterey Park) is attractive and sleek. It's all very shiny, clean, and modern. The decor is beautiful, and the location appears well-maintained. Overall, I found happiness with my meal at Thai House (Monterey Park). Although Staff was unmemorable, the food's quality and affordability is bafflingly phenomenal. I left full and happy with a wide grin. Our favorite Thai food place moved!! They use to be next to ELAC on Atlantic and have now moved to a bigger space and with their OWN bathroom haha (iykyk) I was happy to see the staff moved to the new place. They are always very friendly to us and our daughters and very attentive to make sure we have what we need. The food is amazing as always. Does look like their rice bowl and hot pot soups look better, but flavor is still there! We have been faithful customer for over 10 years. Always recommend them if you're in the area! read more

I grew up eating Thai house, at the small location right by the McDonald's and ELAC. It definitely has a special spot in my heart. Which the original location is now closed. Service staff were friendly. Recently tried this location and sadly I felt like the flavor weren't the same. We ordered a few of their staples and it just didn't taste like the other two locations they had. Pad see ew, seemed to really lack flavor and not cooked well. The color was also not as dark as it usually is! Thai Boat noodle also did't taste like their other location. Chicken Satay and Curry were both good! Unsure if we went on an off day, but it was a little disappointing. Will definitely try again just to give it a fair judgment. read more

Located in shopping center across from Costco, has a dedicated parking lot. Been waiting for this place to open since blaze pizza closed. Wasn't crowded when we came for a weekday lunch. Has a good assortment of lunch specials, on the pricier side because it comes with a drink and soup, lunch size portions. Nice newly renovated decor and great service. I got the green curry spicy- tasted and looked more like panang curry and wasn't spicy at all.... Chicken pad see ew- tasty and glad they put gai laan in it and not broccoli Thai tea and coffee were good! The soup that came with it was better than salad. On this hot hot day hubby humored me and we went to Thai House at the Market Place after Costco because I was craving their spicy spaghetti with beef. So good! I also love soup, so ordered the shrimp tom kah while it was 84 degrees at 7:30 pm lol. It had so much shrimp! So good. We did order the Thai style beef salad which was super delicious and refreshing! They were very generous with the amount of beef too! Portions were super generous so lots of leftovers. Service was excellent and they refilled our water regularly, best part is they have nugget ice! LOL! Their original location is in Atlantic Square which was where we went and heard they also have a Thai House in Whittier. Great lunch specials and great Thai tea! Market Place location is beautiful! First off, I have to say the customer service here was exceptional! Cartoon was the sweetest server ever, so kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy. You can tell she really cares about making sure everyone has a great experience, which made our visit even better. The rest of the workers there were also really kind. The ambiance was really nice. Wanted to check them out since they just opened. Really sweet staff. I liked that when we visited in December, they had a Christmas tree with all the employees names on the ornaments. Thoughtful personal touch. All the food was delicious! Pretty decorations in the restaurant too. Good sized space, so great if you have bigger groups. They also have a location in Whittier. I believe they're open till 10pm, so nice if you need a place that's open later. Will definitely be back. read more

Grand opening two weeks ago, and we waited but didnt need to.. experienced service and chefs mixed in with new staff. I ordered the lunch special of chow mein ...its a thin noodle, like a soup noodle, not the fat udon-like chewy yellow noodle .... but the flavor was on point and the veggies of cabbage and carrots were cooked perfectly. Same could be said about the pad se ew...the Chinese broccoli is cut into small bite-sized pieces, but is also al dente and crunchy perfect. The iced coffee was a bit bitter but once the ice melted, it was perfect too. Food is a thumbs up. Portions are generous on heavy dishes and serving platters bearing the restaurant's sylized house logo. I love that the salad is cold, crispy, dressed perfectly with a mystery recipe ...apparently the owner makes that delicious salad dressing. We're guessing honey mustard is in the recipe, but one server we asked said the ingredients were a secret. Five stars for the ambiance. The yellow curry was great and we had the garlic spare ribs and calamari. Serving size was good, family of 4 and we walked out full (except for my youngest but she wouldnt stop jumping in the booth) Johnathan and this other lady were serving us, they both were very attentive and i am thankful they gave my girls plastic utensils and plastic plates as my youngest is 2 and every dining experience turns into a drumming rehearsal with her. The plastic plates were a blessing to us. Our cups never fell low of water and they provided us with extra napkins (I guess they forsaw the tornado that is my 2 year old) a head of time. LOVED our servers. Johnathan was very sweet with my girls and had both my kids giggling and laughing. I was sad that the Thai house shut down by McDonald's on Floral but this spot is just as good. I've always enjoyed their green curry because it's very well-balanced with protein (I got chicken) and fresh veggies like eggplant, green beans, red bell peppers and fresh Thai basil. The Thai tea is very smooth and robust. It's perfectly sweetened the right amount and not overpowering at all. The curry is so delicious in so many ways. I got my curry medium spicy, which was the perfect balance of a kick to the taste bud without being so spicy to rely on the Thai tea to cool down the heat. It was very creamy and full of spice depth, especially with the amount of Thai basil in it. The chicken is wonderfully cooked- not dry or rubbery at all, and it absorbed the curry sauce very well. The included veggies are super fresh and crisp, and made for a very well-balanced meal that didn't make me feel heavy or gross after. Verdict: a must-visit if you're in the plaza! My husband had been eager to try this place for a while. Every time we drove by on the freeway or stopped for Costco gas, we'd check to see if it was finally open. We noticed it open the other day, and he was ready to go. We weren't sure whether to dine in or take out, but since it wasn't crowded when we arrived, we decided to eat there. The ambiance was clean and welcoming, and we were greeted right away and seated. The menu looked great--so many dishes sounded delicious. We always order Thai tea when we try a new Thai spot, and theirs really impressed me. It was nicely chilled with the perfect balance of tea, cream, and ice. Prices were on the higher side (inflation!), and portions felt a bit small for the cost, but we each ordered what we wanted and shared. The staff checked in often, which is thoughtful, though it did start to feel a bit too frequent. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a good experience. Came here for the first time a few weeks ago with my girlfriend. This is our 4th time back. Everything about Thai House is amazing. Service is fast, attentive and exceptionally nice. I forgot to take a picture of my Lard Nah but I've gotten it every time with pork and crispy pork. The Thai sausage and Orange chicken are delicious. My girlfriend loves Pad Kee Mow and orders it extra spicy! The blended Thai tea and Thai coffee are amazing as well! This was my first time here and I'm not sure if it's the same ownership as the Thai House in Monterey Park in Atlantic Square. Parking was fairly accessible since it is in a center, as we walked in, there was not wait at all, and they did have quit a few customers. Their lunch prices range from 17-20 bucks. We ordered 3 lunch specials. For me the place was nice, good customer service but the food was mediocre for me. It's probably more difficult for me to rate Thai food because I grew up on Thai food. My best friend growing up, her mom made authentic homemade thai, and it was the best. I've eaten many Thai places and this place just tasted very americanized. The chicken was dry in both chicken dishes and the pad thai was okay, not that great. I do see many 5 stars on this place, so maybe I'm missing something. The food just didn't do it for me enough to come back. I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. We were there on Sunday March 8 and yesterday March 11. Sunday was a lesson learned. I was not aware of reservations being an option but maybe I should have called lol anyways I had the opportunity to try the roasted duck and it was 8/10 I also tried the sticky mango and that was 10/10 it was delicious! Yesterday we went back and we ordered their spicy seafood soup and that was so delicious 10/10! We also ordered the hainan chicken since it still is one of my favorites. Everything was good. Dr.pepper was a bit flat and when u read the menu it does state fried rice comes with tomato (one singular tomato) you might have to search for it. We sent ours back thinking tomatoes weren't added. We place the one tomato on the entree to show that indeed one tomato was present. Thought it was odd to just add one tomato. Just me? I had the seafood tom yum with no pork bits and I asked for extra squid and they did not disappoint. They loaded my dish with squid. It was good but which it had more sour kick. We hadn't even been seated for a full minute when staff tried to place my 6-month-old nephew in a high chair, which immediately felt inappropriate and uncomfortable. From the moment we walked in, the staff's facial expressions made us feel unwelcome--like families with children didn't belong there. Our family has been coming to Thai House on Atlantic for years, so we were excited to visit their new location. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different from what we've known. The way we were treated was embarrassing and disappointing. It's upsetting to see a place we've supported for so long treat families this way.
