Recently ate here with my family for the first time. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical just because there isn't much variety in the food around Tooele. My skepticism however was completely unfounded. The yellow curry and pad-see-ew were both delicious. I wasn't as much of a fan of the orange chicken, but my family liked it very much. The service was great! Our waiter was attentive and made us laugh with his humor which was awesome. For the price, you really cant beat it. We will most certainly be back here again! read more

This place is bomb. I crave it weekly. Highly recommend the massaman curry and the spicy noodles. Service is always nice and quick as well.

Every time I've been here the service has been fast and polite. I throughly enjoy the massaman curry with chicken, the panang curry, and the som tum (papaya) salad. I have this newly-formed theory: you can if a Thai restaurant is going to be great if they have pictures of the King and Queen on their wall somewhere. Thai House did not. They had a lot of other Thai kitsch, but the Royal Family was nowhere to be found. The deluxe calamari was a little chewy but not too bad. I guess the battered and fried vegetables are what make it deluxe? Beware the fried pineapple, the juice really knows how to hang on to the heat. The green curry and pad ka pao were also decent. You'll notice the same (likely frozen) crinkle-cut vegetables in each dish. This is a pretty middle-of-the-road restaurant, but since it's probably the only Thai restaurant in Tooele, it's good for what it is. Not great, I've only tried the pad thai but it was not good. I asked for it to be spicy and it came as bland as could be. The noodles were flavorless and the chicken was over cooked and even worse than the noodles. I've also tried it with tofu.. which I love at other thai places but it wasn't good here read more

How to begin? Well, I was quite astonished to find such great Thai food in Tooele, Utah. My wife and I dined there last night after a coworker recommended it. Outstanding! Atmosphere: Like many Thai restaurants, it looks a bit scary from the storefront since it is flanked by, well, Tooele on either side. However, once inside it was pretty typical for Thai restaurants. Walls lined with booths and tables in the middle. Nice wall decor and Thai themed table cloths. Most of the booths and some of the wallpaper are a bit run down, but that's not what I was there for. Food: We had the combination appetizer dish which offered wantons, crab wantons, pot stickers, spring rolls, and chicken satay. I do not think the rolls were made in-house since they were very mushy and wet on the inside, but the chicken satay was very good! Next was the Massaman curry with chicken and the Chef Special which was tempura shrimp and veggies. Both of these dishes were amazing, but the curry is really what made me smile on the inside. Also, their Thai tea comes in a frosted mug! Service: We were greeted right away (albeit from the back of the restaurant) by a young man who told us to sit wherever we liked. He was very pleasant, always punctual, seemed to care, and anticipated our needs. I will be returning as often as I can during my stay here in Tooele! read more

I was part of a group that placed a huge take out order yesterday. The restaurant was asked to make one dish vegan/gluten free. They assured the group that they were able to do this. Within 20 mi items of eating I was the Vegan that spent the next 12 hrs violently ill. Come to find out they had put EGG in the dish. It is extremely irresponsible to run a restaurant and not know dietary restrictions. If you don't then please say NO I'm sorry we do not make Vegan dishes. I would rather have eaten just plain white rice than to be so violently ill. Be a responsible restauranteur!!!!!! read more

Interior had lots of "Asian" stuffs -- Japanese cat statue for business, talking bass wall-hanging stuff, a portrait of Thai imperial member. I know, this is Utah, but I found such different combination of wall ornaments to be weird. Since 6 of us ordered, they did not think about bringing the soup I ordered first to share with others. We ended up waiting for almost 40 minutes for all the foods to come out. Maybe they're understaffed in the kitchen, but the restaurant was 60% capacity. But dishes themselves were pretty good. Thai curry tasted like Thai curry. Tom Yum had enough authentic herbs to make it taste like a Thai soup. So I was satisfied when we finally started eating; so were others. Too bad that the second serving of rice was half-cooked though. Anyway, for the price (around $10 per dish), this place is not bad. It can be easily be better though. read more

If you're really hungry they have a seafood combo you can have with a curry base or without. Both are excellent. The service is a little slow on occasion, but it is well worth the wait. As long as the place is clean I'm down to eat, that being said the restaurants cleanliness was more than adaquate. If you want authentic Thai decor spend about $1500 on a plane ticket to Bangkok player. The panang curry and spring rolls here were good, I would return here again. Every time I order take out from this place they get the order wrong. The food is mediocre at best for Thai food, but probably excellent for Thai food in Tooele, UT. Having lived in Thailand and eaten amazing thai food this is a poor representation. It is a Utah version that is not made with authentic ingredients and substitutions that are marginal at best. If you are looking for authentic Thai food, I would recommend driving the 30 minutes to Salt Lake City where more authentic and better tasting options are available. read more

This is one of our favorite places to eat. Lunch seems to have the better value, but the food is always great. Pad Thai and ginger chicken are my favorite, but the curry dishes are great, too. Crab wontons are a great appetizer and when we have room the coconut ice cream and sticky rice with mangos are delightful. Especially for Tooele, this is a great place to eat. The atmosphere is okay. It isn't dirty, but the furniture and tables feel worn and could use an update. read more

I have tried about a dozen dishes and they have all been excellent. My favorite is the spicy duck curry, very good if you like duck. This is by far my favorite place to eat in all of Tooele county. They recently started offering delivery within the Tooele City limits which is a great plus! I haven't had a dish on their menu that I didn't enjoy. The Crab cheese wontons are a must! The service is always friendly, fast and the food is always fresh. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Tooele. It doesn't matter what we order we are never disappointed. Their Thai tea and Thai coffee are out of this world. I love to order every kind of curry on the menu. I especially like to frequent this establishment during their lunch special hours where every plate is served with salad and a spring roll. They also deliver to our house and it's nice to not have to go anywhere. The food arrives within 20 minutes and is always steaming hot and so so good. My husband is obsessed with their Rangoon. They will tone down or heat up the spice levels for you if requested. My daughter loves to sit next to the fish tank towards the back. It keeps her occupied while we are waiting for our food. I was really hoping to like Thai house because I am a big fan of good Thai food, but unfortunately, it didn't do it for me. Everything I had was very generic and bland. Nothing was bad (besides the service), but nothing was good either. I started out with a bowl of their Tom Kah Kai soup, which I was particularly hoping I would like, but it wasn't anything special, and just wasn't satisfying. I also ordered the Massaman curry lunch special which again was pretty bland, but worst of all the curry was the same thickness of my soup! Way too thin, and lacking any significant flavor. As a note, the spring roll it was served with was the best part of the meal, and was quite nice. These guys appear also to follow a practice that many low end Thai places follow which is that all of their meats are steamed or boiled alone, then they just throw them into the soup/curry per what you order. I understand it can be a tricky thing when you offer various mixing options, but the chicken in the soup and the curry just didn't taste good, and stood out so strongly from the flavor of the dish. It also had a rubbery texture. That is my number one cardinal sin of Thai places. If you're going to mix in the meat like that (cooking everything separate) then at least make the meat taste good to begin with. Some places will grill or cook the meats with some nice seasonings rather than just boil or steam it plain. As mentioned above, the service was also lacking. My server wasn't friendly, and only came to the table once to take my order, and once to deliver my soup and water, and once to deliver my main dish. I also asked for a lemon both when I asked for water in the first place, and again when she delivered the water, but didn't get one. My drink was empty near the beginning of my meal, but even though the server and another gal were just feet from my table either on phones or something, they never did refill my water. I sat for a long while after I was clearly finished waiting for a check, but ultimately went up to the counter myself to pay (not sure if that is the norm, but 2 other tables in there did get checks, and paid from their table). I guess that Tooele is lucky to have a Thai place to begin with, but this place doesn't even come close to anything decent in the Salt Lake Valley. I probably won't go here again. read more

Thai House is the best place to eat in Tooele. Their orange chicken is the bomb, but I can not go there without ordering the co pad su pa rod. It is like the best rice with chicken, shrimp, walnuts and too much other good stuff to remember. I love this place and wish it was open on Sundays so I could go right now. read more

While visiting relatives in Tooele, we were staying at the Best Western. Thai House was within walking distance of the hotel. Not only was it convenient, the food was delicious, and the service awesome! There were five of us, and we each ordered a different dish. We all enjoyed our own meals, and sampling each other's food. The service was awesome.However the potions were horrible we ordered chicken teriyaki but it should have been called veggie teriyaki it was all veggies and no chicken for $12 the only thing that was worth the money was the pad Thai everything else not worth it. I have eaten here several times over the past 45 days. They have great soups, and really good curries. The only meal I wasn't wild about was a seafood dish I ordered that had a bunch of different types of fish in it that were mostly kind of rubbery. The other food was good enough to negate this one, less than great, dish. I am looking forward to eating there again the next time I am in Tooele. read more

Based on all of the previous reviews that I read, and the overall rating of this place I was very excited. I got soup and pad Thai to go, and it did come out in a timely manner. After getting back to my hotel room, I began eating. The pad Thai is. 1 out of 5 for the stars. The ingredients seemed like old and tasted like it had been cooked for hours. The chicken was way over cooked, and noodles were old and tasted like gym socks. The soup was 2 out of 5. The spice level was exactly as I asked, and the flavor is decent. There is no amazing wow factor, but it is a decent soup. Hopefully other dishes are not like my experience, but I will not be returning. read more
