It is a roll of the dice on whether the food and service will be a 5 star or a 3 star. My rating is an average of all the times I have eaten THG2, whether it is at their establishment or to-go eaten at home. THG2 has an inexpensive lunch menu ($11) which comes with a fried spring roll (has meat) and your choice of several options from Thai beef salad to pad Thai to curry to fried rice. The downside for lunch is that seafood is not an option for pescatarians like myself and tofu is not an option as well. I usually just order the fried rice with no meat for lunch and it is okay, not the best, but not the worse. As far as the wait staff goes, this is not a 5 star establishment where the waiter/ess waits on the customer hand and foot. The staff come by frequently enough to refill the drinks and make sure everyone is satisfied. I have had some issues when ordering Thai hot or even hot. My husband competes in spicy food challenges and while our complexion is fair, he does have the tolerance. Any time that I order my food hot, it comes out always mild. Usually I will just ask for sriracha to put on or in my dish and that eliminates the lack luster of spice. The curries are delicious, the soups are spicy, and the Thai tea is refreshing. Whenever I am in town, I try to meet up with my father to have lunch here and we never leave hungry. However, sometimes I do leave dissatisfied due to the food options, spice, or customer service. This is our favorite thai place in Navarre, and possibly ever! We usually order it online to-go and the service is fast & friendly. They always get the spiciness level just right. My favorite is the Pepper Stir-Fried entree with chicken or the Pad Thai. My husband loves their Spicy House Special or the Stir-Fried Glass Noodle. The fried gyoza is yummy, too. I accidentally ordered from here instead of taste of Thai so figured I'd try it instead of canceling the order. My husband picked up our order and said if I had I would have been upset by the condition of the place. He said it's filthy which is definitely not something you expect from a restaurant... feet sticking to the floors kind of gross. The food was slack. Spring rolls look like egg rolls and I'm not sure how it's possible to overcook spring rolls but they were. I ordered curry and it was served in a container like soup. The coconut milk had separated but I was hungry so I strained it and the veggies and chicken were ok if you're not expecting much but need to fill your belly. Husband ordered chicken and veggies but it also looked like a soup because it was swimming in a brown sauce. He was hungry so he ate it but it was unremarkable. We will never make this mistake again. Also we paid $50 for this and for $50 we could've had seafood dinners not thinly sliced 1/2 cup of chicken with 2/3cups veggies and 3/4 cups sauce. Went there last night and knowing they were going to close in about 30 min we decided to get our food to go. We spent over $40.00 on food. While my husband was eating his Shrimp fried rice he bit down on a bone, cutting the roof of his mouth. He sputtered it out and it appeared to be a peice of rib bone from a chicken about 1 1/4 inch long. Thank goodness he did not swallow it. I tried to call them and they told me they would do nothing. Told me the Boss said to just take him to the doctor and leave a review. They said there was no way to know if what I was saying was true. I told her I still had the food and peice of bone and I could not believe that was their answer. I was shocked to say the least. I said I wanted to talk to "the boss" and she said no, she already told her what I said and boss said she would do nothing. I asked to talk to the boss and she refused and said they were busy and boss not there. I asked her to have the boss call me. iIt has been 5 hours and still no call. Unbelievable. The food: Not sure why the shrimp fried rice had chicken in it but it did. The rice was old so maybe they took some old and just added shrimp. I got the Lad Nah which is a noodle dish with beef and broccoli in a thick sauce. The food was not only way runny but the noodles under it were so stuck together I couldn't even mix it together. Even with about one and a half cups of "juice" on top of them. We also got appetizers of fish cakes and pot stickers. The fish cakes were cold and so rubbery you couldn't chew them. I tried to tear 9ne in half and it wouldn't even tear just bend every which way. The pot sticker were ok just cold. Will Never got there again and don't suggest anyone else go there. The staff here are humble, kind, and amazing individuals. When I came in I ordered the Tom Kha Gai soup, hot, and it was a savory and sweet soup that blew my expectations away. They JUST took over the old "Kracker Jax" restaurant in the strip mall on April 20, 2009 The only dish I had was Pad Thai and it turned out to be some of the best I 've ever had. I'm from Californa, so I've tried lots of that recipe. Also, the Thai Iced Tea was perfect. And, the service was above average, with the nice family who own & run the joint. This is the second of 2 "Thai Hut" restaurants that are in the area which they have opened. The other one is located on Racetrack Rd in Ft Walton Beach, FL. They didn't make any major remodeling changes with the inside, it's more-or-less the same as it was with the previous owner. It has a beach-flavored atmosphere. Not too bad. Out of all (3) Thai places I've tired in Navarre so far I would have to this is the best. I ordered the seafood curry, Thai hot. I was a little bothered that the staff found me ordering Thai hot so humorous and blatantly laughed about it knowing I was looking. Then the cook decided to look at me and laugh harder. I was thinking that this soup better be delicious as hell for me to bite my tongue like this. I would hate to piss off the cook right before he makes my soup, and I really really wanted extra spicy curry soup. When I got home and opened the to go container, it was full. I mean so full that I had to carefully open it otherwise there would've been major spillage. That's a plus. Well, let's say I'm very happy that their spicy is actually spicy. If you read my reviews, I specialize in Asian food. I was in Navarre Beach with some some friends and decided to give this place a try. So placed an order to go and picked it up just before they closed on 8:30. Ordering was a challenge as the person taking the order was having problem understanding me. However I consider that a good sign! Ordered four things. Panang curry, drunkin noodle, beef pad see wu, and combination noodle dish. Food wasn't the best Thai I had but good. Portions however were enormous!!! Panang curry came in a quart size soup container and was actually pretty good. Noodle dishes were pack to the top!! This is what I consider Thai food!!! 5 stars for value for sure. 4 stars for food taste and quality. I'm definitely coming back to this place. read more

I love Thai food, but this restaurant is below average Thai. The food was below-average for Thai on all three of the dishes we tried. The servers were very kind and friendly but it took about 50 minutes to get our food after we ordered. We asked if they could bring out an appetizer, any quick appetizer, for free for the long wait and since we were over-hungry by now. The owner said no and seemed angry and offended. Well, we have finished our meal of Drunken Noodles, Red Curry, and Summer Rolls. The summer rolls were quite tasty, however, I did not prefer the peanut sauce. I felt it was too watery. The drunken noodles were fantastic. They offered a wide variety of flavor and a hearty helping of vegetables. As of late I have been turned onto Red Curry (I used to be a green guy). The Red Curry here was delicious. Just the right amount of basil flavoring, mixed with a creamy coconut milk flavor. Once again this entree including a heaping serving of bamboo shoots, peppers, onions, etc. I would highly recommend this place. Run away as fast as you can!! This place is dark, dingy, and has an old smell to it when you first walk in. The staff was very unfriendly, which I guess is kind of common with these types of places, and barely said one greeting to me. I ordered the pad Thai and it was probably the worst pad Thai I've ever had. I had indigestion for six hours after I ate it. The first bite tasted OK but then further eating I noticed there were chunks of something else in it. I think it was tofu but I wasn't sure. I pushed my plate away from me and ask for the check! THAI HUT is authentic, fresh, really really good food. The prices are fabulous, good service, really nice family owned. The atmosphere isn't the best, but it doesn't matter one bit, the food makes up for it! Update, We've been going here for a while now, and it's still pretty good, but quality has been slipping. My coworkers and I used to eat here at least once a week. When we called in to order a few months back the lady asked us to hold; she set the phone down instead of placing us on hold, there was a customer in the background saying "I'm not paying for this ma'am there are bugs in it"...Needless to say we haven't been back since. Well I politely told her i apologize for speaking english and that perhaps she can understand me face to face. When i arrived i ordered from the to go menu and waited patiently for a thai tea...which i will say was very very good. I was not happy to make it all the way home to find out that my specific request for no onions was ignored. My dish was also plain while i had asked for spicy.
