I called to tell them and they said I have to bring it back like you would something to Trader Joe's. In addition, I ordered Thai Pepper Steak and they charged me an additional $1.00 for the steak. I really wanted to love this place, but most of the food was a letdown. We ordered Crab Rangoon, Pad Thai, fried rice, and veggies with shrimp--everything tasted bland and lacked the bold flavors you'd expect from Thai cuisine. The only standout was the beef and broccoli, which was delicious and well-prepared. On the bright side, the staff were very friendly at pickup, and they had everything ready quickly within the promised window. I've come here somewhat regularly over the past year either for a comforting Thai dinner with my family or lunch special since it's so close to work! Favorites are the pad see ewe, fried potstickers, and fried rice. So naturally I thought of Thai Inbox when scoping out restaurants to bring in appetizer party trays for my corporate Lunar New Year celebration. Thai Inbox could meet the egg roll and potsticker request I had and quoted a more competitive price than a few other local Asian restaurants I called. It was about $430 for 150 veggie egg rolls and 150 chicken potstickers. Since I placed the order (and paid in full) 2 weeks in advance, I called the restaurant to confirm my order 2 days ahead of my big event. The manager said all was fine, no worries. Fast forward to the day of the event, and 2 minutes before the order is supposed to deliver, the manager called and said one of the ingredients didn't deliver from the vendor, so the potsticker order couldn't be fulfilled. What?? That isn't the type of thing you find out last minute, and certainly, you can call the customer BEFORE cooking the order to talk through options and solutions vs. informing them about it as the order is in transit. Poor and disappointing communication! Maybe they felt they could do that since I already paid. What I was given was all of the egg rolls I ordered, half the potstickers, and the restaurant subbed in crab rangoon for the other half and said they added an extra 75. Since my order was needed ASAP at that point, it's not like I was going to turn it away or renegotiate. Everything was hot and fresh and crispy since it was all fried. Folks enjoyed it. Thai inbox was my go to Thai food restaurant for the longest time when they were in Skokie by the mall. They used to be primarily a take out restaurant but I was thrilled to see that they opened up an a restaurant with seating. Once we arrived we were seated right by the windows. Our server quickly came by to offer us water and we were able to place our orders and the food came out quickly. We got the pad thai with beef and the pad see ew with chicken. Both dishes came out with a great size portion and tons of great flavors. The quality of food as good as I have always remembered. After we received our food, we had to wait for quite some time to get our server to refill drinks and get the check. We would certainly come back to enjoy other dishes. read more

We had been coming here for years but never again! We ordered four dishes for takeout and two of them were simply wrong. When we called to make it right, they told us it was our fault and HUNG UP! Unbelievable! Look at the other reviews here. 35 1-star reviews can't be wrong. They don't care about their customers and it shows. This is my second visit. Food is really good. I tried the Pad Thai this time and it was good. My first time I ordered the chicken panang curry, which was fabulous. There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant and she was working really hard. Nice location with parking but you are also fighting for a space with Trader Joe's. We ordered food for a larger group of people about 15. The recommended amount that each small tray fed was about 6-8 people. So we ordered 2 small trays and some appetizers. The portion was more than enough and the food was prepared and packaged so well. Sometimes when we do carryout for larger orders the food can be difficult to transport and you risk getting things all over your car, not the case here at Thai Inbox. Each small tray was plastic wrapped then foiled, placed in paper bag and then in another larger plastic bag to hold all the items. Pad siew- with beef, cooked well and not over cooked noodles, the beef though was a bit tough. Thai fried rice- this wasn't how I was expecting though it was tasty nonetheless. We got chicken in this Thai fried rice, the rice was more soft than normal. Personally I do like a drier fried rice. Egg rolls- crispy, nothing to write home about, would probably not order again. Chicken wings- tasty and well cooked, the sauce to go with it was sweet and salty. Crab ragoon- this was exactly as I expected and I enjoyed the crispy and creamy contrast. read more

We had a large gathering and needed substantial portions that were tasty for our guests. We went to Thai Inbox for a couple of half pans of Thai Fried Rice and Pad See Ew noodles. The order was ready by the time they told it was going to be. Perfectly packed with plastic wrap and foil, paper bag and plastic bag (almost guaranteed to not spill at all upon transport). The food was quite tasty, the Thai fried rice was full of flavor and the pad see ew was done nicely as well. The chicken and beef though were a tad dry, but with large orders like this, it's difficult to get it right. I'd definitely order from Thai inbox again, the staff was helpful and was accommodating to our request to make the food not spicy. read more

I have been coming here regularly for the last two years and I'm done! First, the prices for entrees have gone up in price by $3. An entree is now $18-$21 which is higher than most other Thai restaurants. An order of egg rolls is $9.75, unheard of! Also, the portions for the four different entrees I ordered were much smaller than they used to be. I have been noticing this for a while now. This all is very disappointing and will most likely hurt business. It's really too bad since the food is somewhat ok, though not exceptional. I came in exactly at 11:30 on a Monday and ordered two items, assuming I was going to be given the lunch special. After I got home, I found that I was charged $3 more per entree as the dinner portion, was not given the egg roll appetizer or the drink. I also gave them a $5 tip for the take out order. I was very disappointed to witness these practices at a local business. The food is good, probably one of the best pad thai in Glenview. The food here is excellent. The one woman who runs the entire kitchen gets the food out so fast, she beats fast food. It's always so hot, fresh, and delicious! Bee is such a great server too; always pleasant when we come in. I have tried all the noodle dishes and my wife loves the pad see eiw. It's also super clean in here, compared to most restaurants. The food was awful! We ordered the Karaage Chicken bowl for my toddler, and it was way over-fried and dried out--we ended up throwing most of it away. The Panang curry was extremely salty and thick; I've never had Panang this bad. Lastly, the Pad Woon Sen was also overly salty and burnt, leaving it with a bitter taste. We eat Thai food regularly, and this was by far the worst meal we've had. I will not be returning and urge others to proceed with caution. read more

This is a cozy little Thai place right next to Trader Joe's with a corner window area in the plaza. I came here with my family on a Saturday afternoon for lunch just a little after they opened (doors open at noon). It was a neat little restaurant, very clean with glossy wooden tables. We were seated in a booth by the windows and their service was friendly and quick. Between three people we ordered 3 dishes and two drinks: Thai iced tea and iced coffee, Curry fried rice, Pad Thai and Rama Broccoli. You will also get iced water infused with lemon, which is a plus! There was plenty of food and we had enough to take home for leftovers. The Thai iced coffee and the Thai iced tea WILL be very sweet. I believe that's how it's supposed to be, and most Thai cuisine is too... but just a fair warning! I enjoyed a relaxing lunch here, and they have a wine for dinner as well. For their Rama Broccoli with Tofu, their peanut sauce was also on the sweeter side (as opposed to peanutty). But Rama Broccoli is my go-to dish and I was pretty happy with it! We ordered from here using Uber Eats. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. We got two orders of Takoyaki and it was 10 pieces. The restaurant allowed us to get the toppings on the side. We also ordered Naem medium hot gluten free Salad and cucumber salad and Tom Yum Koong Soup all fresh and eye appealing. The cucumber salad came with a tasty Thai salad dressing. The Tom Yum Koong soup was hot and spicy with about 4 large shrimp and slices of tomatoes. I will definitely order from there again. read more
