Scratching my head looking at the other reviews. Came in, was seated fast, got menu fast, it was me that dragged my feet on picking something out, then ordered, then food came out fast. No problem. Ordered the Inbox Kee Mao. I liked it. Had medium/mild heat, surprisingly, I did not go after thermonuclear heat on the menu. Next time. I likes my spicy stuff. Plain old coffee not on the menu. Ordered tea instead, so I got green tea. Nice change of pace from the jasmine tea I've been drinking on occasion (the occasions I'm not drinking coffee). The check was okay, too. I'll be honest, if I'm eating in Cook County, I'm afraid the sales tax is going to be 200%. But it wasn't. The price was right. I could see the potential for parking being a hassle, but it wasn't, I just zipped right in. I say try it. Saturday afternoons seem like it would be slower, so I good time to grab a bite. Orderd Pad Siew Medium spicy and they gave it to me with no spice also asked for napkins and chopsticks since I'm staying in a hotel. They got nothing right! Not even the sauce for my egg rolls. I ordered a pad see eiw through uber eats and had a great experience! The order was started almost immediately and the food was delicious. The packaging makes the food look small, especially if you only order one dish, but it holds a lot more food than you'd think! The noodles were chewy, the sauce was not too salty, and overall it was a good balance of beef to broccoli in my opinion. Would order again! read more

Was craving Thai food so glad we stumbled upon this place. Order the spicy Thai fried rice with shrimp. It was really good and well seasoned and vegetable Pad thai. It was my first time trying Pad thai and became an instant favorite. Their hot sauce was fresh and a perfect accompaniment. Will be back for more. read more

I saw many reviews on yelp noting bad service and mediocre food, but I still decided to give this place a chance anyway. My friend and I went on a Saturday night. Based on the reviews, the place was busier than expected. Parking was easy as it's in a strip mall. Service was quick! We got our food in no more than 15 minutes. The portions were a little smaller than most Thai places and the food was lukewarm, which was disappointing. The food itself was really good. I got the cashew dish with brown rice and Thai iced coffee. The Thai iced coffee was a little too sweet (and I have a sweet tooth). Some grains of the brown rice were also undercooked. Overall, I would definitely be back here again to try some of their other dishes. read more

I have worked in this quadrant of Glenview for eight years and seen four different restaurants occupy this space. At least three of them were Thai. The consistently underwhelming quality of each iteration leaves no mystery as to why these places don't last. On the plus side, Thai Inbox is (or was? see below) on Seamless, so I've ordered a couple of times when Seamless has sent me random 15% off coupons. On the minus side, the staff here don't quite seem to grasp the concept of online third-party ordering, especially the payment element. But anyway, the food is really the point and, sadly, it's just not good. Plus there are perplexing discrepancies between the published menu and the preparation. Thai Inbox rolls: I got one with bland, rubbery shrimp and one with imitation crab stick. What the hell? Cucumber salad: a few wisps of carrot, no onion Pad thai: peanuts and sprouts, nothing else Besides the mysteriously variable and/or missing ingredients, the food is simply poor to mediocre. So...even 15% off is barely enough of an enticement. There is far better Thai food out there, even in the north suburbs. But then yesterday I tried to use another Seamless coupon, and Thai Inbox was strangely unavailable at both lunch and dinner time. Not closed, just unavailable for ordering. This Friday the kids voted for Thai, so we decided to try the new Glenview location of Thai Inbox, which sounded like somebody with a very, very long surname's email account. Instead, it stands for really good Thai food! Unlike some of its competitors in the area, the food is not greasy and they offer vegetarian and gluten free options. Our carry out Pad Thai, Pad Siew, Green Curry, and Chicken Satay were all tasty with decent portions. The peanut dipping sauce and cukes were perfect. They are in the old Your Choice Thai next to TJ's with a nicely renovated dining room. Put a helmet sticker on this inbox--it's a keeper. read more

Second location, same great taste. I had Kee Mao and it was truly amazing. If you like basil or basil fried rice, then try this dish. In this location you can dine in. Inside is very clean, there is a lot of seating area, staff is very friendly and will answer any questions you might have about the menu. read more

We have found our Thai place in the neighborhood! The food is always delicious and steaming hot when we get takeout. We love everything we've tried. The Khao Soi especially is fantastic. read more

Finally hopped in here after seeing it the past 100 times we went to Trader Joe's next door. We did carry out on a Saturday. The crab Rangoon was barely stuffed, and the mixture was not what we're used to. There was more unstuffed fried wonton on the top than the inside. Huge disappointment for a highly anticipated app! My potstickers, though cooked well, Lacked overall flavor. They were very blah by themselves, so I had to douse them in sauce. We shared the crazy noodle dish. The noodles were cooked great but we felt the dish needed way more sauce. Nothing came on the side, so we had to improvise with stuff from home to get all the noodles coated well. And again, nothing crazy with the flavor. Overall, we were disappointed and won't be going back. We had a home run at Krue Thai so looks like we'll be going the extra difference to actually get Thai tasting food. read more

Thai Inbox in Glenview! I normally don't go out for Thai food since I can always have Thai food at home, but this was recommended to me by a friend who had Thai Inbox in Wilmette. Since I was in a time crunch, I had the food to go, but I still want to share the pictures. For this meal, I had the Green Curry Avocado and Tiger Cry. Overall, I would give this meal a 2.9 out of 5. First off, Tiger Cry is probably one of my favorite Thai dishes since it's steak with the best dipping sauce ever created. Now, the dipping sauce that came with Thai Inbox's Tiger Cry was not the same sauce I'm used to. Their homemade sauce was sweeter and a lot less spicy. It was different.  As for the dish itself, I would say it's meat: Really nothing much else to say about it. I was really disappointed by the portion as you can see in the picture. Moving on to the curry, I would like to start by saying avocado has no business being in green curry, and I have no idea what compels them to do so. Initially, I thought they were going to do something unique with the avocado to enhance the flavor. Perhap they will blend it and make some sort of avocado paste but NO. Forced 20% tip! We had a horrific experience and the waitress apologized multiple times. I assumed we would get a free drink or edamame but no, the bill automatically included 20%! We had 4 adults, one child. My husband received his salad and entree. We waited 5 minutes. I see that other tables received their dinner and drinks ahead of us, so I politely told them we had ordered wine. After 3 people fussed at the bar, They brought two of us 2 glasses of wine, but forgot my husbands. To recap: husband has dinner but no wine. The rest of us waited :30 for drinks but have no dinner. They finally bring out our meals .. except mine. I ask for an extra plate and start sharing with my family. Another 5-10 minutes go by. My dinner finally arrives. It's really good but we've now been at the restaurant for nearly :90 minutes. I order another glass of wine. It never arrives but I didn't complain. I received the bill. I have to say this is the worst service I have ever experienced. We ordered an order for pick up on Grub hub early at 4pm, with a pick up at 6:30PM. The order was confirmed by the restaurant at 5:34PM via email confirmation.... I show up at 6:30pm, there was a line of people waiting for their food, which is fine, but at 6:33pm THEY CANCEL MY ORDER. I'm sorry but if I schedule a order for pickup for 6:30pm where do you think I am at6:33pm? It gets better. I spoke with the man at the front counter who, then agrees to make my order, but then some other man comes out of the kitchen to tell me he never confirmed the order and canceled it in the most condescending tone. My husband and I have been making an effort to try to support local small businesses through this crisis, but clearly this restaurant doesn't value it's customers, so we will not be giving them any more of our business. The food here is good, pad Thai, basil fried rice, lumpia, and pad kee mao my go to items. Milk tea is great too. My issue is the service or rather the systems they use. Just had a doordash driver reach out to me to inform me this restaurant has the dashers go in, place, and wait for the orders. I've had 2 dashers cancel because they didn't want to wait. I can't blame them. I won't be ordering anymore until this broken system is changed. read more

Portions are extremely small, for take out. I was trying to feed a family of 5, spent $50 on the order and they skimmed us on food. I found the food very well done and tasty. Good unique flavors and dishes tasted different from each other instead of the meals sometimes tasting similar. The atmosphere was alright. I also liked that the menu labelled which meals could be made vegetarian. The problem I had was that there wasn't a single soup or curry vegetarian. That's always what I order when I go to a Thai restaurant. Most Thai restaurants I've ever been to can make curry vegetarian (including no fish oil). When they cannot do it I leave the restaurant and don't ever go back but since I was with other people who didn't want to leave I stayed. I'm glad in this case because the food was delicious but it was very limited for vegetarians who want the typical choices of Thai dishes available. read more

Waitress wasn't attentive. My hot water for tea came in a dirty cup. We ordered two small soups and split a salmon dish, a hot tea, and bubble tea. The bill was almost $50 for thin fried fish that was dried out looking like it sat under lights all day. This was to be a special lunch with my daughter. I was so disappointed. Upon leaving my daughter said, " I felt like we were a bother to them instead of a customer." I couldn't agree more. Not once did she check if we were okay. I have ordered take out from this restaurant several times. I always order the Pad-See-Ew and Pad-Thai. I thought their food was decent. The only thing was that they ask you to order take out/no dine in even 35 minutes before closing. My husband and I decided to eat lunch inside the restaurant last week after grocery shopping at Trader Joes. We got the lunch special and service was good. HOWEVER, in the middle of eating we saw a reddish large cockroach come on our table and scurry onto where we were seated on the soft bench. We immediately lost our appetite. The panang curry flavor was perfect, the right amount of heat, flavor, and saltiness. The pad kee Mao was too spicy too enjoy. The portions could be bigger for the price. Where do I start?!?! Restaurant was half full, but 1 table had about 7-8 people. 2 servers which was clearly not enough. Ok, picture painted. Service: Took them about 3-4 minutes to seat us. It was only us that walked in. Took about 10 minutes to bring out menus. Took about 15 minutes before they came out to take our order. They brought out most of our order, but not my rice or the chicken appetizer. Yes...they brought out the main dishes before the appitizer. Our server went back to the kitchen and was gone for awhile. The other server brought the chicken. I asked her for my rice. She went into the kitchen, came out with rice, and delivered it TO ANOTHER TABLE! Our server came out and started clearing a table. I made eye contact and she came over. I asked for my rice and finally got it. Oh...and no water refills....Ever... Food: We had the Tom Yum Soup and the Tom Kai Gai. Both tasted like they dumped an entire bag of suger in there. My teeth wanted to run screaming out of my mouth. My daughter liked the rice noodles, but not the broth and the meat was chewy. Since when did Thai restaurants stop using gai lan (Asian broccoli) and start using regular ol' American broccoli in their dishes? I'm encountering this more and more and it's a real shame. Lifeless Thai food. The slices of chicken was were sometimes burned (tasting), dryed out and had no flavor whatsoever. Seemed like the wok was on a bbq grill. All of it dried out. I've had excellent Thai food and this isn't it. The cucumber salad was good and large for $7, the rest was mediocre at best. The service was also lacking, I had to get up from my table and find the waitress to ask for something that she should covered when our food was served--Can I get you anything else?--. One and done. I decided to give this place another try. We ordered for lunch and had it delivered. After almost finishing the lunch my co-worker bit into something hard. When she took it out of her mouth it was a NAIL!! We called CALMY asking for a full refund. They told her she could get a refund but SHE had to come pick it up. WHAT??? Why should we have to get the refund especially while we are at work!! Which is why we had it delivered to begin with. She then claimed she would have to call a conpany and pay them to bring me the refund. I'm sorry and??? I paid for food not a nail! What if she would have swallowed it?!?!? The lady on the phone told me to calm down and that they would not pay to have someone bring me then refund. VERY UNPROFFESSIONAL!!! This could have ended badly had she swallowed the nail. We had one of the worst meals ever last night. The dishes ( Pad Thai w/ chicken, cashew chicken, and Egg Roll) had no taste. As such, they were virtually inedible. As a courtesy I called the manager the next day and she was hung up on the facts that 1) she had no other complaints that night and 2) why did I wait until the next day to call her. So dining in at this place provided a unique glimpse into the awful and possibly unsafe behavior of this restaurant. We placed our orders and when the food arrived, they had made multiple mistakes. This wouldn't normally be that big of a deal, except for how they ended up handling it all. Shortly after my wife started eating her entree having taken a few bites, the waitress said, "oh this is not your order!" She took the plate from my wife as she was eating it. My immediate thought was, "Are they seriously going to serve that to somebody else?" We were wagering about which of the people coming in for pickup was going to receive our partially eaten plates of Chinese noodles. Disgusting! On top of the Health Department issues with taking partially eaten food back, my wife's correct entree didn't arrive until I was almost done eating mine! And no apology about any of this. Additionally, they brought me white rice instead of the brown rice that I had ordered. They took my white rice back (to recycle?), which wouldn't normally be a problem except that my brown rice didn't return for until I was done with my entree. When I pointed out that I didn't need the brown rice anymore since my entree was finished, they still ended up still charging me the buck-fifty surcharge for the substitution.
