If you're looking for authentic Mexican food I do recommend you try this! The burrito reminded me of my own family's home cooked meals which is a compliment in its own as I am hard to please when it comes to latin foods being of latin heritage myself. The crunchy tacos were good but not as seasoned. The hot sauce was also very flavorful with two options of either mild or hot. If I come back I am prone to try their snapper tacos and flautas. They take reviews seriously and listen to feedback. They adjusted their seasoning and it was perfect on their carne asada! Their agua frescas are also worth taking note of. They recently moved locations and don't have their full menu available, sadly. We got a few dishes to try and thought the best was the Surf and Turf taco. The Red Snapper was really disappointing because the ingredients weren't balanced well and it ruined the whole thing. I got the Potato Tostada and was disappointed that there was bits of steak in there. I told the staff about it and they didn't care. I also got told I couldn't use the bathroom because they didn't think I was a customer. They didn't say it nicely either. The best item we ordered was the red snapper tacos. They were good. Not deep fried if that's how you like fish tacos but the fish was fresh and good. Salmon tacos were meh. If you are ever in Old Town San Diego and in the mood for an outdoor eating experience, give this spot a try. There is street parking not far from the entrance. The restaurant is situated slightly off the main street, next to the Whaley House. There is a standing fold sign on the curb that directs you to where you can walk up to the seating area, which is beautifully shaded with trees. The seating has additional coverage and you won't suffer on super hot days. There are two kiosks to use to place your order. It's s accessible for people with disabilities; there is a ramp as well as a staircase. Honorable mention: The bathroom was immaculately clean! I ordered a crispy red snapper taco and my honey had the crispy red snapper burrito. We also had horchata and banana frescas. Muy delicioso!!!! Everything we ordered was so fresh, so delicious. My son and I took a break from painting and it was late and we were so hungry. He found a farm to table Mexican restaurant in Old Town so we set off on our mission. Flor's had a great looking menu. We ordered from the kiosk while discussing what was good with one of the owners. I decided on the Kracken taco which was an octopus taco and a crackling red snapper taco. My son decided on the crackling salmon burrito. Our food came out and as you can see the tacos were huge. Took one bite of the kracken taco and immediately wanted more. Our host/server was very rude in her tone when we asked questions. When she was calling out the name for our order, she said a name that was not even close to our name (like with letters that aren't in the name) and then when we didn't respond, she called us over in a rude tone and said , "I don't know how to pronounce your name". The taco's tasted good but not special. The Not So Good: there is no service. You order on a computer and then pick up your own food. The Bad: the nachos had almost no vegetables although the description made it sound like it would. Flor's bills itself as farm to table but we didn't see much farm. There were potatoes but no onions, tomatoes, olives, jalapeños, beans, and very little cabbage. The salads had no vegetarian/vegan salads! There were only two salads and both included meat. The Really Bad: they don't recycle the beer bottles. That's just irresponsible. So overall the price was good and they do have a few vegetarian options, but it was very limited and it doesn't really live up to my expectation of what I expect from farm to table, which would be lots of organic vegetables and salads and environmental awareness. read more

I loved that burrito it was literally bursting with flavor. My wife got the tacos and we both got a drink that was crisp and refreshing. If I could say any corrective thought at all, the burrito and taco was wet so make sure you have napkins and it left me craving the taste of a margarita. Also I wouldn't come here for like a sit down dinner but definitely after walking around old town and want some food before you go home I PROMISE you won't be disappointed and after you eat it will be time for laying on the couch at home! The patio setup is peaceful, great light, and just a really enjoyable place to slow down for a minute. I ordered the burrito and it was incredibly well crafted. The texture was spot on -- tender, well-seasoned meat with crisp, fresh lettuce and just the right balance of sauce. Nothing soggy, nothing overpowering. Everything tasted fresh and intentional. You can tell care went into building it. They also gave me a sample of their house-made hot sauce -- very hot, but when used in the right proportion, it adds amazing depth without overwhelming the flavors. If you're in Old Town and want something that feels less touristy and more thoughtfully prepared, this is it. My hubby got their steak quesadilla and the nacho burrito. He assumed the nacho burrito meant nacho cheese and meat only to find out it meant tortillas chips crunched up into your burrito. Who adds tortilla chips to a burrito??? Also they didn't give us any salsas for our to go order, there were no salsa bars either.
