We ordered from the kiosk while discussing what was good with one of the owners. I decided on the Kracken taco which was an octopus taco and a crackling red snapper taco. My son decided on the crackling salmon burrito. Our food came out and as you can see the tacos were huge. Took one bite of the kracken taco and immediately wanted more. The Bad: the nachos had almost no vegetables although the description made it sound like it would. Flor's bills itself as farm to table but we didn't see much farm. There were potatoes but no onions, tomatoes, olives, jalapeños, beans, and very little cabbage. The salads had no vegetarian/vegan salads! There were only two salads and both included meat. The Really Bad: they don't recycle the beer bottles. That's just irresponsible. My hubby got their steak quesadilla and the nacho burrito. He assumed the nacho burrito meant nacho cheese and meat only to find out it meant tortillas chips crunched up into your burrito. They said yes, but then told us that we order on the screen and then go sit down. Well that's not what a sit down restaurant is. There is no waiter or service. Because of the great deal of 30% off, we still chose to dine with them. The prices for the food were so over priced for à la carte food, there is 1 combo option item that came with a drink. I figured that the discount would make the price decent. We asked if we could get cups of water, and they told us they do not offer water. So we had to buy a bottle of water. It took a very long time for our food to arrive. My burrito was the surf and turf. I had 1 whole piece of shrimp and some steak meat and the rest was cabbage. Wildly unappetizing. It was all so disappointing. The size of the burritos for the price were embarrassing. (Having lived in San Diego my whole life, I have never received such a small burrito in my life... I can guarantee you that the photos shown here look nothing like what we received.) As my wife went to pay, the lady at the desk didn't know how to discount our order, so the owner told her that he'd make our food and then figure out what we owe afterwards. As our food came out, we were still waiting on a cheese quesadilla. My wife went to grab it and pay. The owner was clearly angry and confrontational with her over the 30% discount. We explained that we were told by the Whaley House employees that anyone who paid for the Whaley house could get 30% off. The owner said it was 30% off 1 item. That was never explained. The owner should have told us that while we were ordering, instead of forcing us to pay full price after we received our food. Had we known that, we would have never dined here. The customer service was bad, the owner was rude and the food sucked. -Doesn't give 30% per guest from The Whaley House -Doesn't offer cups of water or salsa for free (even though it's a 'Mexican restaurant') -Not actually a dine in restaurant so don't even bother asking for chips and salsa - Food literally sucks and is painfully overpriced for what is given!
