Having tried a variety of Thai food, this was an absolute treat. Dishes were cooked and flavored well. If you want an extra kick, you can also ask for some hot sauce and they may provide a few to select from to top off your dish. The server was very mindful. We were someone eating it family style where we take portions of the main dish. She noticed how we were eating it and provided us individual plates. She checked in to clear out empty plates and refill water without us asking. It's nice that there is a parking spot behind the restaurant. Could have hit a 5-star, but the service was so lousy we would have to track down the server. We took our honeymoon in Thailand and we eat a lot of Thai food. This place ranks pretty high up of Thai places I have eaten. All the food was prepared very well and was served piping hot and fresh. This is a tiny family run restaurant with about 10 tables, a table bar that looks out to the street and a tiny waiting area, plan ahead. We arrived around 5:30pm and the restaurant was starting to fill up, by 6:15 it was packed and several people waiting. Several people came in for carry out food. On ordering, I stuck to my favorites the Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai, both bench mark foods of any Thai restaurant and I was not disappointed. The soup had a sweet and savory flavored broth and lots of vegetables and pork. The Pad Thai was just as it should be, the noodles where just a bit over cooked, but overall excellent. My dinning partner had the Thai Street Noodles and didn't think they were that spicy, she reported it had excellent flavor and good noodles. Our first visit and we were not disappointed. The place is small, so arrive early and or plan on waiting for a few. It will be worth your time. I had the deep fried ham hock, good but I think it needed some "sauce". We also had the lettuce wraps, and 2/3 appys. Couple of the items we liked better than others, but it was all good. The staff was friendly, and kept our drinks full and beers as well. My only suggestion to them would be to get a few more options, other than one IPA and one Raspberry Yum Yum. read more

Good place to eat Thai food. Their menu is quite interesting and I think anybody likes Thai food would find some authentic food. Nice interior and table/chair arrangement could be better. The restaurant is new and they are learning how to run a restaurant efficiently. We waited more than 45 mins to be seated. Tables were full but a few people left after a while. Instead of cleaning the table, both servers were busy checking out, serving and chatting with customers, leaving us wait a unacceptable amount of time. Rave to Thai Kitchen, the new eatery at 12th and McKinley, where I just had lunch. I ordered Massaman curry with chicken. It was delicious, and was served up generously in a bowl with a plate of sticky rice on the side. The flavors in the sauce were excellent, and the curry was chock full of chicken, onions, carrots and potatoes, and topped with peanuts. A quick glance at the menu revealed traditional Thai favorites such as Tom yum soup, drunken noodles and Pad Thai. Offerings also include wok stir frys and gluten-free (rice) noodles. Heads up: the medical center workers are flocking here for lunch. If you are in a hurry, you might want to ring ahead and order takeout. My server was nice enough to tell me that the kitchen was backed up. I wasn't in a hurry, and the food was worth the wait. Do you ever just stumble upon a place and are just blown away !! 2020 started off right for me. I was looking for a place to go eat when I found the Thai kitchen. As soon as I walked in I knew this was the place to be. The decor was modern and they had smooth tunes playing on the stereo. I was greeted by 2 smiling faces that were incredibly nice and welcoming. I always have my go to items at any Thai restaurant and I wanted to mix it up. I asked the owner for some recommendations and she did not disappoint. I got an app that was crab and shrimp wrapped in tofu paper and lightly fried ( I can't remember the name and I would probably butcher it) It was delicious. For my main dish I got the Thai street noodles ! Straight up fire!! So good. I will be visiting this place for sure in the future and the staff and owner couldn't have been nicer.
