Recently ordered the shrimp Shumai for appetizer and the pad Thai basil chicken entree. Both were very good but the hot sauce was not what I expected for Thai how sauce. The staff was friendly and had my to go order ready right after I arrived. I would recommend them for good Thai food. read more

Thank heaven for this lovely little place! We carried out, so I can only speak for the food. First of all, the cost was very reasonable. We ordered three entrees (gotta try it all, right?) and a soup and it was enough for 6 meals. Insane. We tried the Panang curry with tofu, which came with rice. It was super spicy but the flavor was On. Point. Next was the Tom Kha with tofu, which was the sole reason this review is four stars instead of five. The broth broke and was slightly curdled, and the flavor was almost too rich. Huge portion though. Lastly, we each ordered a noodle dish. We tried Pad Woonsen with chicken, which was glorious and super filling, as well as the Pad Thai with chicken (#basic) which was also lovely. I want to order again and try more curries- I have a hunch that's the area where they shine. Can't wait to eat it again when my diet allows me another cheat day! read more

Ordered take out. Got the green curry. No indication of spice level. No chili pepper symbol. It came unbearably hot and spicy! I could not eat it. I eat spicy often but this was like they dumped a bottle of hot sauce into my food. Total trash. My wife got red curry and it was fine. I really wanted to like this place as we moved to the area about two years ago and miss our favorite Thai restaurant. My pad Thai was weirdly sweet and the chicken was over cooked and dry. My daughter's wonton soup was underwhelming. She liked the broth but removed the wontons because they were flavorless. My husband's Rama was okay. There weren't many veggies and certainly not a bed of them. The egg rolls were tasty as was the Thai iced tea. This place was not a winner in our book. read more

I am hooked. My favorite local Thai place. Sunny disposition on behalf of Lulu at the counter. I like everything I have tried so far. Generally, I order take out from here 1-2 times per week. Great egg rolls with shrimp. Both green and red curry dishesare very tasty. The sizes are generous, the rice is perfect, and the pricing is bang on in the general range for other Thai restaurants. The counter person has been very friendly! Seating is limited to 2 tables - one to seat 2 and one to seat 4. Opt for take out... This was my 1st time visiting and went based on the "so called great reviews". What a disappointment. The 2 entrees I ordered were mediocre at best, and the appetizer was blah & barely enough sauce to dip 2 dumplings .The noodle dish was "just OK" but I went there especially bc they had a curry dish I've had before & isn't always available elsewhere unfortunately their preparation was a huge disappointment. The dish was missing 1/2 the items that were supposed to be in the dish, the sauce was very watery, protein was dry & over cooked with hardly any spice in a dish that is supposed to be spicy. Definitely not worth the prices. I'd rather drive further to get better quality. Don't waste your time if you know what good Thai food should taste like. read more

This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant near work! I usually get the pad Thai or the Drunken noodles along with shu mai. The shu mai is served with this perfect sweet and tangy soy sauce. My kids love when I take leftovers home! read more

To be honest my favorite Thai place in Wheaton/Glen Ellyn/Lombard area. I really like their pad see ew, pad thai and Tom yum soup. I've had chicken and beef for the protein for the noodles. Tom yum is just yum itself. I also like that this is like a mom and pop shop. I feel happy when I feel like a family made the dish. That is probably why I keep coming back. read more

Having spent a lot of time in Thailand, I'm picky about its cuisine and always skeptical about Thai food in America. I'm happy to say Thai Kitchen is legit. We had papaya salad, pad thai with tofu and boat noodle soup. All were delicious, but the noodle soup was outstanding. It was a huge bowl of piping hot, soul-warming, light beef broth with lots of rice noodles and super tender chunks of beef. Simply amazing. Tip: when ordering Asian noodle soup at any restaurant, I recommend dining in. It's best served piping hot and straight from the kitchen. Note this place seats about 8 people only. read more

The very first time I ever had Thai food, I was a teenager in Indiana. I do not remember what I ordered, I just remember that it was both delicious and so spicy that I could only eat a few bites without crying. Later I discovered white people Thai food. I appreciate some heat, but yeah, I can't handle the real heat. Thai Kitchen hits a white people Thai food sweet spot for me. I've tried a few places in the area, and the really good places are a bit far for takeout, and the close places aren't that good. But Thai Kitchen is only a few miles away and it's really good! The food was made fresh and was nice and hot when I got home. I ordered Tom Yum and pad Thai. There are two tables, you could eat in if you really really wanted to, but it seems to be big on takeout. My portions were generous, the pad Thai could easily have fed two, and it was well seasoned and not gloopy. The Tom yum was a little heavy on the mushrooms, but had plenty of chicken and a great limey spicy broth. I will for sure be back, now that I know it's so good! read more

Also, I was a bit surprised when I picked up my food to see that not one employee (in both the front or in the kitchen) was wearing a mask. So happy I trusted the reviews and ordered from here- what a delicious meal. Ordered the Basil with Chicken prepared spicy....just the right amount of kick and excellent flavors overall. Also loved the ground chicken as opposed to sliced. Egg rolls were also super tasty. Ordered an additional Pad Thai for intentional leftovers...win win during the time of shelter-in-place. While I only ordered Coconut soup, which was very good, I probably will not be returning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Cashier did not wear a mask. Due to my situation I cannot take a chance. Stumbled upon this gem after waiting for my ride to go home. SO GLAD I FOUND IT! The place warmed me right up! Not only with friendly smiles but the food! My favorite food in the world is Pad Thai. I had tried a lot in my days. Definitely authentic. Had its own flavor. Not greasy like others I have tried. Great flavor! I live all the way in cicero, Illinois and I will definitely back here! I had to put them on the map because I wanted a place to eat while waiting for my ride and I didn't even notice the place until I took a 3rd look. This new Thai restaurant opened and they have great vegan and vegetarian options. Basically they can make almost if not all dishes vegan if you ask and have gluten free options too. They are considerate of allergies and can make "authentic" Thai flavored dishes if you ask. The service is fast and they are sweet friendly people. It has a small dining area too. They are very accommodating and since they are new they are getting into their stride. I was very happy with the food and will going here regularly. read more

So glad this place opened up right here right in North Lombard! Had the tofu pad thai, rama chicken, gyzoa, big bowl of chicken noodle soup, spring rolls and cucumber salad and all were excellent and flavorful. I'm pretty picky about thai food and I'd have to say this place is on par with Star of Siam downtown. I'm going to be pretty broken up if this place closes. Definitely the curries are up next to try.
